POPSSouth Korea Continues to Show Its Dominance by Jill Simpson
North Korean and South Korea continue to scuffle over South Korean waters off the peninsula's western coast. According to Korean Translation workers, "In recent weeks, the South Korean navy easily defeated a decrepit North Korean Ship by firing several hundred rounds into it." Of course, in true North Korean fashion the scuffle was quickly turned into a heroic win by the North. However, Sunday's activities weren't nearly as exciting. On Sunday, a North Korean army sergeant was rescued at sea by the South Korean navy but not without some drama to go along with it. While the sergeant was "rescued" but South Korea, he was briefly detained and held for spying. New York Translation workers suggest that this all happened when the sergeant's boat drifted onto what South Korea claims to be their waters. POPSYin-Yang: Chinese eat cats and rescue cats From outside the culture, it is difficult to understand those who eat cats and dogs. If you are traditional Hindu, you wonder how anyone could eat any animal. I still can't understand eating cats - I don't believe the people eating them to be evil - I just can't understand it.

POPSAt Work When the economy makes big news, many photographs of people at work come across the wires, usually to help illustrate a particular story or event. By collecting these disparate photos over the past few months, I found that a global portrait emerged of we humans producing things. People assembling, generating, and building items small and large, mundane and expensive, trivial and important. I hope you enjoy this look into some people's work lives around the world.

POPSThis Seems to be Commonplace If the US experienced the same amount of airplane accidents as Indonesia has ferry accidents you can bet the FAA would be all over it. Sometimes there is very good reason for Government regulations. My advise is don't ride on Indonesian ferries.

POPSPlea For The Birds This is a longer video about Bett, the rescued Macaw, her friend Geronimo and their person. She makes the point that these beautiful birds are an incredible amount of work and expense, their need for attention is huge and that they will live longer than both you and your child. In other words, they require a major commitment and even with the willingness to do so, they are still better off wild and free.

POPSMost people keep their ducks in the bath... but this lot aren't made of rubber Pauline Kidner, founder of the Secret World Animal Rescue Centre in Highbridge, Somerset, said: 'It's very important to keep them warm. We'll be looking after them over Christmas and through the winter. 'Next week they'll be moved to a duckery unit which allows them to go into the water if they want, with a heater to keep them warm and dry.'

The man and the woman were both taken to hospital and Lachlan was treated by Ambulance Victoria at the scene. Sen Cons Joseph said that Lachlan did a fantastic job and things could have been a lot worse if he had not intervened. POPSHouston Translation Sheds Light on Holocaust During a five-year period, American photographer Norman Gershman assembled the names of Albanian muslims and Christians who saved Jews during the Holocaust. With the help of a Houston translation service, he then began a quest to meet and photograph the Albanians who rescued Jews or their descendants. When Albanians were asked why they protected and saved Jews from certain death, the resounding response was "Besa," the code of honor that is such an integral part of Albanian culture.
