He has chosen to act as cheerleader for whatever congressional Democrats cook up. On healthcare, Mr Obama stood aside during months of chaotic haggling in Congress. By the summer, unsurprisingly, voters opposed to reform outnumbered voters in favour " again, above all, expressing worries . . .

POPSWhat is it with liberals and sexual slurs? Problems with this article (other than the sexual slurs). The assumption that the tea party movement is a wing of the republican party when they are just as disgusted with big government republicans as they are with big government democrats. She called Scozzafava a moderate. She, like other party loyalists, assumed it would be better for republicans to win with a liberal candidate than lose with a conservative. It's time people stop voting for letters following someone's name and vote for the candidate closest to their own beliefs. It isn't a two party system when both parties are on the same side. The fact that Scozzafava endorsed the democrat was proof that conservatives were right and she was the wrong person for the job. Scozzafava winning would have been just as big a loss for conservatives as Owens winning.

Thank you Mrs. Palin (and others) for exposing another Republican (conservative) in name only. I wonder if this is the new Democrat strategy....get their people to run as Republicans. And we're so asleep and/or complacent that conservatives just trust the R after their names. (sigh)

McCain may have continued to "blur the lines" but with Obama in office, the difference in ideology of the Republicans is Stark and Bold... The point's neither complex nor subtle. In this country, journalists don't sponsor or participate in partisan political events. Maybe in Venezuela or China, but in the United States, no. Explaining to the New York Times, deputy White House communications director Dan Pfeiffer said, "We simply decided to stop abiding by the fiction, which is aided and abetted by the mainstream press, that Fox is a traditional news organization." Quantcast Yet neither the Times nor most "mainstream" pundits evaluated the claim on its merits. Most pretended not to grasp the White House's point, and then went straight to the aiding and abetting. Many invoked the ghost of Richard Nixon. Why, to criticize Fox, claimed the Washington Post's Ruth Marcus and Charles Krauthammer, was downright "Nixonian." NPR's Ken Rudin recalled "what Nixon and Agnew did with their enemies list." So did CNN's Anderson Cooper. Rudin subsequently apologized for the "boneheaded" comparison; Cooper didn't.

Yessirree bob, this photo tells me everything I need to know about Mr. Hoffman, and I enthusiastically give him my full support. As it turns out Mr. Hoffman still loves cars, and his family is still involved in the classic car restoration business. This, I have learned, is now the basis of attack ads from his Democrat and Republican foes in the race. Which tells me everything I need to know about them .

Two-thirds of all the income gains from the years 2002 to 2007 — two-thirds! — went to the top 1 percent of Americans. We cannot continue transferring the nation’s wealth to those at the apex of the economic pyramid — which is what we have been doing for the past three decades or so — while hoping that someday, maybe, the benefits of that transfer will trickle down in the form of steady employment and improved living standards for the many millions of families struggling to make it from day to day. That money is never going to trickle down. It’s a fairy tale. We’re crazy to continue believing it.
