More: That might not sound like a big deal until one considers an example: "First, we can immediately find his political orientation based on his strong opinions about Power and Terror: Noam Chomsky in Our Times and Fahrenheit 9/11. Strong guesses about his religious views can be made based on his ratings on Jesus of Nazareth and The Gospel of John. He did not like Super Size Me at all; perhaps this implies something about his physical size? Both items that we found with predominantly gay themes, Bent and Queer as folk were rated one star out of five. He is a cultish follower of Mystery Science Theater 3000. This is far from all we found about this one person, but having made our point, we will spare the reader further lurid details."…Back in 2000, a Carnegie Mellon researcher took a look at 1990 US census data and concluded that 87 percent of all Americans could be uniquely identified based on only three items: ZIP code, gender, and date of birth.

POPSVenezuela Synagogue Attack: Hoax Hate Crime?!!!
Most telling is that investigators knew that the synagogue has many security cameras installed that tape inside and outside for 24 hours. When the rabbis were asked for the tapes, the rabbis said that the "chavistas" stole them. This is very curious because many expensive items inside the synagogue were not reported stolen. The nature of the amateurish "antisemitic" graffiti on the walls inside the synagogue is also extremely suspect. Most suspicious of all were the photographs that the rabbis provided of the "sacred objects of Jewish life" they say were "desecrated." The menorahs, books and other items are seen on the photographs neatly placed but scattered on the floor. The claim of phoney antisemitic hate crimes by Zionists and certain Jewish organizations have been a favorite ploy for decades. These accusations are made to gain political advantage, especially when the group is being criticized for their crimes like their most recent ones in Gaza. This is the primary reason why t

POPSBranding for Christ A "science" teacher in Ohio is under scrutiny for mixing religion and science. This miscreant not only is a fundy nut but a liar too. I'm sure the kids in his class are getting the latest in science education (if they lived in the bronze age, that is).

POPSPagan prisoners win right to have wands there's genuine concern prisoners are taking the system for a ride." Conservative MP Andrew Turner, who uncovered the new ruling, added: "This strikes me as bizarre. A lot of people would be worried about equating paganism with Christianity.". Brightest Blessings to Justice Reform Minister Maria Eagle. To Edward Garnier and Andrew Turner - grow up. Christianity is NOT "all that" to everybody.

POPSStudent Drawing of Cross censored in Wisconsin School Art should be judged for its artistic merit not its content if you ask me. I think the drawing is very well done. Not being an artist myself I appreciate those who have that ability. Forcing a student to draw subjects that may not be acceptable to them to me is a far worse offense then the student drawing a picture that MAY or may not offend someone else. Art like music is a creation of the artist and should therefore be considered in light of the artists perspective and not from the perspective of the audience. At least that is what the defenders of porn use as a defense when promoting pornography and other offensive works of art. They say it is CREATIVE LICENSE. Well then this young person has the creative license as well. IMO

POPSSaddam's Terror Links
It's true that the Pentagon report found no "smoking gun," i.e., a direct connection on a joint Iraq-al Qaeda operation. Supposedly this vindicates the view that Iraq's liberation was launched on false premises. But the Administration was always cautious, with Colin Powell alleging merely a "sinister nexus" in his 2003 U.N. speech. If anything, sinister is an understatement. The main Iraq intelligence failure was over WMD, but the report indicates that the CIA also underestimated Saddam's ties to global terror cartels. The Administration has always maintained that Iraq is just one front in the war on terror; and the report offers "evidence of logistical preparation for terrorist operations in other nations, including those in the West." In 2002, an IIS memo explained to Saddam that Iraqi embassies were stockpiling weapons, while many of the terrorists trained in Fedayeen camps were dispatched to London with counterfeit documents, where they circulated throughout Europe.

POPS18 piece religious art made from junk "The Throne of the Third Heaven of the Nations’ Millennium General Assembly" titles this collection of extraordinary pieces, cobbled together over 14 years by James Hampton. Hampton was an African-American janitor in Washington, DC. A man of modest means, Hampton rented some storage space in an alley and created this work out of discarded bits of foil and plastic, junk furniture and second-hand items. The work wasn't discovered until after his death in 1964, when the landlord of the storage space opened it up to clear it out. It now resides in the Smithsonian's folk art display. POPSColored lights too religious? What exactly is the religious significance of colored lights at Christmas? And the tree is too religious as well? POPS Beijing's Ban On The Olympic Bible During the visit here of Mr. Lee, a democratically elected member of the parliament of Hong Kong, talk turned to the way some of America's founders had been emboldened by their religious beliefs. An editor of the Sun asked whether the same applied to those fighting for freedom in Hong Kong and China. Mr. Lee replied, "As a Catholic, I don't mind dying. I go up to heaven. I know somebody is up there, guiding me." It is the fear of sentiments like that that no doubt explains why Chinese Communist authorities would try to keep the Bible out of their country. Once it gets in, there is no telling where the ideas will spread or what will be the consequences.

POPSResearcher's Analysis of al Qaeda Images Reveals Surprises Neal Krawetz, a researcher and computer security consultant, gave an interesting presentation today at the BlackHat security conference in Las Vegas about analyzing digital photographs and video images for alterations and enhancements. Error level analysis involves re-saving an image at a known error rate (90%, for example), then subtracting the re-saved image from the original image to see every pixel that changed and the degree to which it changed. The modified versions will indicate a different error level than the original image. Source code for Krawetz's program . Krawetz's BlackHat presentation (PDF) .
