POPSInterview With Russell Peters & A Relevant Skit for Now "I don't talk about religion. I just refuse to just cause it's much of a volatile situation for everybody, everybody in every religious denomination is real touchy about that subject and you know what, I am not a religious person myself, so who am I to say who is right or wrong or make my opinions be known about anything. I just stick to culture and race and the way it affects us in today's society." Russell Peters. The interview is after this skit...

POPSDreams Die Hard
Within the context of conventional party politics - the kind that has been baseline "normal" in the USA for a long time - we see this playing out in two factions that are increasingly out-of-touch with reality. The Obama government has made itself hostage to a toxic form of pretense and lying. In order to sustain the wish for "hope" - if not hope itself - the President and his White House advisors along with his cabinet appointments, are pretending that the historical forces of compressive contraction are not underway. They're flat-out lying about the employment figures issued in the government's name. They're willfully ignoring the comprehensive bankruptcy gripping government at all levels. They refuse to bring the law to bear against "the malefactors of great wealth." They appear to not understand the epochal energy scarcity problem the whole world faces, or its implications for industrial economies. Most of all, they persist in promoting the lie that this economy can return t

POPSNovember 12th Charter for Compassion The Charter will proclaim a principle embraced by every faith, and by every moral code. It is often referred to as The Golden Rule. The Golden Rule requires that we use empathy -- moral imagination -- to put ourselves in others' shoes. We should act toward them as we would want them to act toward us. We should refuse, under any circumstance, to carry out actions which would cause them harm.

POPSWhy having a negative attitude does not help you Why having a negative attitude does not help you Everyone finds themselves in unfavorable circumstances and negative situations now and then. When caught in this kind of situation we often ask ourselves or raise our eyes to the sky and ask, “Why me?” We are then attacked by doubts about ourselves and our efforts at correcting the situation.

POPSObama Disrespects Fallen Soldiers Redstate says "And Mr. President, posting rules prevent me from noting my real opinion of you, but you really do need to learn how to act around people who are your betters. You make Jimmy Carter look like a statesman."

POPSElectronic Waste - A Call For Change It goes deeper into the way electronic gadgets are manufactured. People have noticed this for a long while but no one had/has done anything to change the real cause of this problem. No one questions why a perfectly good TV, stereo, printer etc has to get thrown away because a very minor part no longer functions and manufacturers make it more expensive to buy the replacement part that would fix it. So, it works out cheaper for people to throw it out and buy a new one. Everyone knows this, but why is this allowed to continue. Printers are soooo cheap, but the ink to refill is expensive. It is cheaper to use the printer once, throw it out and buy a new one compared to replacing the ink. The list goes on... Doesn't this have to change??? Isn't this the real culprit???

POPSIs it all right to refuse a husband’s threesome idea? Threesome is not a good idea for couples who are emotionally attached to each other. Men and women engage in threesome because of the excitement and extraordinary adventure it produces. They do it strictly for fun and enjoyment. No pent up feelings are usually involved, as should be.

POPSBank can't prove it owns the mortgage, Judge writes off $460k debt This is why Rep. Kaptur was telling people facing eviction to squat in their own homes , refuse to be evicted, and make the bank demonstrate in court that the debt is legitimate . Possession is 9/10 of the law. I predict that this is the first tremble of a massive shock-wave about to move through our economy.

POPSJust Say Yes A healthy 13-year-old boy died today in Toronto from the H1N1 influenza virus. While H1N1 still causes severe reactions and death in significantly fewer cases than seasonal influenza, it can still kill, like any case of influenza. There's no good reason to refuse the vaccine (just paranoia and hype), and plenty of good reasons to get it. If a family's perfectly healthy, 13-year-old can go from mild symptoms to dead within 48hs, it can happen to anyone. Don't be scared; don't panic, but take reasonable precautions. That includes getting the vaccine as soon as it's available. Don't let the conspiracy theorists scare you away!

POPSRape case to force US defence firms into the open Halliburton/KBR used a clause in her contract requiring disputes to be settled by arbitration to block legal action – a policy which, her lawyer says, has encouraged assaults by creating a climate of impunity. Franken described it as a denial of justice. "Contractors are using fine print to deny women like Jamie Leigh Jones their day in court," he said in a Senate debate. In legal papers Jones, who was 20 at the time, says she was fed a knockout drug while drinking with KBR firefighters. "When she awoke the next morning still affected by the drug, she found her body naked and severely bruised, with lacerations to her vagina and anus, blood running down her leg, her breast implants ruptured and her pectoral muscles torn‚ which would later require reconstructive surgery. Upon walking to the rest room, she passed out again," the papers say.
