POPSAl Gore Demands "Pets Must Go" in New World Global Warming Order!
Whiplash used the example of a 'typical' pet, a 7 year old Golden Retriever weighing 76 pounds. The dog was fed 2 1'2 cups of low residue premium dog food per day', 1/2 cup in the morning and 2 cups in the early evening. The stool samples were measured, analyzed and catalogued. Independent lab findings easily disclaimed Gore's findings, indicating that a well cared for pet, on average, emitted the same amount of Carbon as a Toyota Prius driven 1200 miles per year. Continuing the rebuttal, aided by Beck manning a large blackboard and documenting Whiplash's findings, the following facts emerged after a detailed analysis of stool samples gathered surreptitiously as part of the scientific fact finding mission: * Al Gore: Weight 379 Pounds. Discounting for Bloat, emits enough noxious gas to move Queen Mary 2 97 nautical miles, using the figure that it takes one gallon of fossil fuel to move the liner 6 inches. * Christie Alley: Weight 427 1/2 pounds. Enough carbon emission

POPSReading List: The Healing of America; World's Health Care Systems When Mr. Reid presents his shoulder to his own orthopedist in Colorado, the doctor is quick to recommend a shoulder replacement. It will cost his insurer tens of thousands of dollars (assuming it agrees to pay), with unknown co-payments for him. In Japan, the foremost orthopedist in the country (waiting time for an appointment, less than a day) offers a range of possible treatments, from steroid injections to surgery, all covered by insurance. (“Think about it, and call me.”) In an Ayurvedic hospital in India, a regimen of meditation, rice, lentils and massage paid for entirely out of pocket, $42.85 per night, led to “obvious improvement in my frozen joint,” Mr. Reid writes, adding, “To this day, I don’t know why it happened.”

POPSTypical rebuttal to Cheney/CIA documents
Peter Bergan, of the left-wing New America Foundation provides the main talking points behind the continued criticism of Bush/Cheney's authorization of so-called torture. This is effectively countered by the WSJ editorial today: Some will argue that these details could have been elicited without enhanced techniques. We'll never know. The question is whether Attorney General Eric Holder and his new special counsel intend to second-guess the decisions of CIA officials who were operating in the shadow of 9/11 and who, we now know, successfully unraveled terror plots and saved lives... These plots were "just talk." Nothing to worry about, then. Let them talk. They're Muslim fanatics and that's what they do. Why worry? Be happy! Left-wingers, like Bergan, will seize upon this argument to salve their own consciences as to the coming witch-hunt against the CIA by Obama. It seems convincing today but it's obviously an argument by hindsight"the worst kind of historical fallacy. If we'

POPSGermany’s War of Words in Afghanistan It’s war taking place along the Hindu Kush, he explained to the minister. There are good and not-so-good reasons for the German government to shy away from using the word “war” in connection with the killing and dying German soldiers are doing in Afghanistan. It certainly can’t just be the accepted definition of war that is causing the government to so stubbornly reject the term. After all, war can " but doesn’t have to be " a conflict between countries. History tells us that there were innumerable other conflicts that have been referred to as wars. And the Americans have used the word for their operations in Afghanistan for some time. Shouldn’t the deciding factor be how the German soldiers define what they are experiencing? “If we were to talk about war, we would just be focusing on the military dimension,” says Jung to explain his linguistic choice. Apparently, the idea is to not encourage a military escalation with a verbal escalation.

POPSPhotos: Bloody Aftermath of the Presidential Elections in Iran From the American standpoint, the most significant development related to the election came from the U.S. itself. Asked about the voting in Iran, Barack Obama said, “Ultimately the election is for the Iranians to decide. You’re seeing people looking at new possibilities. And whoever ends up winning the election in Iran, the fact that there’s been a robust debate hopefully will help advance our ability to engage them in new ways.” For someone who sees false choices everywhere, he sure was snoozing on this one. Obama’s was a depressingly bad answer. For what does this now say about America’s attitude toward Friday’s insult to democracy? Does the American president really believe that the Iranian public decided the outcome?

POPSGirls worse at math? No way, new analysis shows We conclude that gender inequality, not lack of innate ability or 'intrinsic aptitude', is the primary reason fewer females than males are identified as excelling in mathematics performance in most countries, including the United States," Janet Hyde and Janet Mertz of the University of Wisconsin in Madison wrote in their report.

POPS Appeasement For Dummies post-ideological political philosophy." . . . . . . . To glimpse at the warped worldview of our media elite, look no further than a news "analysis" by Steven Hurst of the Associated Press, who compared Obama favorably to ... Mikhail Gorbachev. Apparently, like Gorbachev, Obama presides over a corrupt and crumbling empire: "During his short -- by Soviet standards -- tenure, he scrambled incessantly to shed the ideological entanglements that were leading the communist empire toward ruin. But Obama is outpacing even Gorbachev." The leftist media look at Obama and see themselves. There are no "ideological entanglements." They're just out to make the world a better place, insisting that America needs to shrink itself into a smaller, quieter, less "judgmental" partner, and do so while the Western hemisphere goes off a left-wing cliff.

POPSTwo-word refutation to "The Gathering Storm" anti-gay marriage ad: "Fred Phelps!"
More: But the point here is that Fred Phelps is a free man. His only legal troubles stem from instances of direct physical assault -- not from the hateful content of his beliefs. So when the folks at NOM insist that their opposition to same-sex marriage is a matter of "religious liberty," the liberty they're talking about has to be the liberty to exceed the Fred Phelps standard -- the liberty not just to restrict membership on religious grounds, or just to preach against homosexuality as a sin, or to condemn and denounce homosexuals as people hated by God, but the liberty, apparently, to go beyond all that, beyond anything even Fred Phelps has imagined. Fred Phelps is a free man, so if you think your freedom is going to be restricted, you must be planning to outdo Fred Phelps. So there's the two-word answer for every…dubious claim about being persecuted or punished or threatened or jailed or whatever for their anti-gay beliefs.

POPSWant to see Obama's birth certificate? And look here: http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/born_in_the_usa.html for FactCheck.org's thorough rebuttal of the "it's a phony copy" issue. They have hand-held the original, and confirmed its validity with the State of Hawaii. Two more articles are cited in the clip. The radical right's refusal to admit the obvious here is becoming more and more like simple disloyalty.

POPSObama On Rosenberg’s WGN Talk Radio: Ayers is Off-Limits! Callers demanded to know why Rosenberg was “giving air time” to Kurtz to “slander” the Democrats’ presidential nominee. Rosenberg stood firm on his decision to have Kurtz on his show and insisted his staff tried getting someone from the Obama campaign to come on to refute Kurtz to no avail. Obama callers were not satisfied with Rosenberg’s explanation and continued demanding answers from the host while excoriating Kurtz . Obama Campaign HQ are .25 mile from WGN radio station.

POPSDinosaur Media March Deeper Into The Tar Pit Barry O is on his preemptive victory lap around the world and he steadfastly refuses to take questions from the foreign press. I wonder why? it's not like he isn't great reading off a prompter ?off the cuff?answering tough questions right? What would our media say if it was the Maverick dodging tough questions? I kinda doubt they would let it slide, but the Obama slinks along unmolested by any serious scrutiny from our self-selected watchdogs of the Fourth Estate. It is refreshing as a member of the newest type of new media to know that every day the solons of the liberal e-light who make up the dinosaur media march ever deeper into the tar pit.
