POPSSinger Opts for 'Black National Anthem' Over 'Star-Spangled Banner' I guarantee you that this is what all America can expect if Obama is elected President. It's just the beginning. Vote for him if you will. We still have the freedom to vote and choose. The radicals have been waiting a long time to receive/give reparations and the Presidency may be the ultimate payback. I could so easily have voted for an American who was black....but this one carries waaay too much baggage and hangers-on with an ax to grind.

POPSObama The "Patriot" but to mend a flawed system and improve upon it. Obama’s falsification of history has the clear purpose of back-dating the credal concept of “patriotism” in the very birth of the nation. For the uninitiated, it means the “haves”—mainly European-Americans—willingly enduring higher taxes to pay for yet more government programs supposedly helping the have-nots—overwhelmingly, of course, the people with whom Obama identifies, to whose grudges he panders, and whose obsessions he shared for 20 years of attendance at Dr. Wright’s (“God damn America”) so-called church. In Obama’s scheme of things his wife, too, can be classified as eminently patriotic, now that for the first time in her life she can be proud of America thanks to the success of his political career. The “bitter” blue-collar whites, by contrast, cannot be patriotic for as long as they cling to guns, religion, and bigotry, all of which supposedly explains their antipathy to him.

POPSAgainst Islamic Extremism It is for this reason that one must approach Islam from Islamic sources if one wants to understand it. This doesn’t mean one will have to accept all that one reads, nor that one can’t be critical after you have studied it: but you will then be able to be critical of something which is true and representative of the faith, not something made up.

POPSAl-Qaeda: the cracks begin to show "Speaking to an Egyptian newspaper, Fadl went further. “Zawahiri and his emir Bin Laden are extremely immoral,” he said. His words sent tremors throughout the jihadist world. Al-Qaeda does not have a central organisation and has been a movement based more on ideas, rather than concrete plans for political change. Here was one of its former theorists attacking those very ideas. "

POPSObama, Me And Our Pastors Obama took the well-traveled road that all Machiavellian, ambitious, unscrupulous men take, which is why men of this ilk are very dangerous and should never be given the reigns of political power – for they lust after money, power, control, legacy and the applause from the fickle crowds above all else. Could it be that Obama sought out these radicals because he is a certified socialist with the most extremist liberal voting record in the Senate? Obama and I are the same age (46, born one month apart) After graduating from law school, I lived in Chicago from 1994-97. There I wrote several e-mails to Obama while he was as an adjunct professor of constitutional law at the University of Chicago, repeatedly asking if he could help me obtain a teaching position there. The response from this man who is down with helping "the disenfranchised"? – silence of the lambs – nothing.

POPSHow to BBQ a Healthier Burger While marinades are best because they cover the whole surface, simply shaking on dried herbs may reap the same health benefits. "Barbeque sauces seem to work too," Smith added. Just make sure you shake or smear on spices before you get to the grill. Once the cooking process begins, the HCAs are there to stay

POPSGreen tea may help snorers sleep easy One of my biggest problems is that my dog Lani snores. She doesn't like tea. I like green tea with Jasmine. I'm going to make a cup when I've posted this. It's that time of day. The chemicals in green tea may protect the snorers from damage caused by free radicals that are in excess as a result of sleep apnoea, but they still can't help anyone who is listening. These catechin polyphenols help sufferers, and no doubt victims of oxygen deprivation. A compound using them as an active ingredient may also be used as part of the first aid kits that assist CPR, in drowning and heart attack victims. I don't know if that's on the agenda, but the quicker an overload of free radicals can be neutralized, the better. It may in many cases reduce some of the serious brain damage in survivors. (You'd have to check that with a pharmacologist)

POPSBush, Obama, and Terror Anything that opposes one's particular opinion is now called a "political attack"?? So how are people to explain their positions that differ with anothers? Pres. Bush' comments are consistent with his entire Administration's position. The real problem is that *the shoe fits* but it's not the one Obama wants to wear right now. And frankly, Pres. Bush could have been referring to Mr. Carter who has also been used as a tool of the enemies of Israel and the US.

POPSSara Bard Field (1882-1974): Poet and Suffragist Sara Bard Field A writer and propagandist but also a poet, she was a woman of exceptional character. From Quaker origins, at the age of 18 she married a minister and went with him to live in Burma. When they saw the poverty and diseases in Rangoon, they both became Socialists. It was Clarence Darrow who introduced Sara to Charles Erskine Wood in 1918. For him she left her husband and they eventually married and lived a fulfilling life to the end. They were both of them radical intellectuals, interested in living a good life, surrounded by artists, but also extremely generous and compassionate. Sara worked for ten years as a Suffragette and was responsible for the organisation of the College of Equal Suffrage, with Alice Paul. powys-lannion.net "SARA AND ERSKINE, AN AMERICAN ROMANCE", a biography by Dona Munker

POPSMajor survey challenges Western perceptions of Islam "Religion is an important part of life for the overwhelming majority of Muslims, and if it were indeed the driver for radicalisation, this would be a serious issue." But the study, which Gallup says surveyed a sample equivalent to 90 percent of the world's Muslims, showed that widespread religiosity "does not translate into widespread support for terrorism," said Mogahed, director of the Gallup Center for Muslim Studies. About 93 percent of the world's 1.3 billion Muslims are moderates and only seven percent are politically radical, according to the poll, based on more than 50,000 interviews. In majority Muslim countries, overwhelming majorities said religion was a very important part of their lives -- 99 percent in Indonesia, 98 percent in Egypt, 95 percent in Pakistan. But only seven percent of the billion Muslims surveyed -- the radicals -- condoned the attacks on the United States in 2001, the poll showed.

POPSOrder To Extradite Accused Terrorist Abu Hamza al-Masri To U.S. Signed The former preacher at London's Finsbury Park Mosque was arrested on the US charges in May 2004, but subsequently was tried for incitement to murder at the Old Bailey and jailed for seven years. His leave to appeal to the House of Lords was turned down last year and the "fast track" extradition hearings re-opened at Westminster Magistrates Court. If Hamza appeals Jacqui Smith's decision to extradite him, he may not set foot in America until this time next year, legal experts said. Mark Spragg, the solicitor at London firm Jeffrey Russell Green, warned that the extradition of Hamza is likely to be a long and arduous process taking anything up a year.
