"The Chapter 11 filing will apply only to the company's U.S. businesses. Its operations in Canada, Latin America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia-New Zealand will not be affected. "Restructuring our debt will enable us to have the financial flexibility to move ahead with our growth and transformational initiatives," said President and Chief Executive Officer Mary Berner, in a statement." The Pleasantville, N.Y., media company said the bankruptcy would help facilitate an agreement with lenders to exchange a portion of its $1.6 billion in senior secured debt for equity, and transfer company ownership to the lender group. --- "The agreement, which is subject to court approval, also includes a commitment from some members of the senior lender group to provide $150 million in debtor-in-possession financing, which would help fund operations during the reorganization. The pre-arranged plan proposes to cut debt by 75 percent to $550 million, from the current $2.2 billion."

POPSDunkin Donuts Goes Completely Insane There are certain times in history that make us look back and wonder, "how is it possible that civilized people behaved in such craven and irrational ways?" The Salem Witch trials, for instance. The present moment will likely be looked back on as another such time. Case in point: Dunkin Donuts just pulled an ad in which TV cook Rachael Ray wore a scarf that somewhat resembled a traditional Palestinian head dress -- because imbalanced bloggers accused the company of promoting terrorism. I'll skip speculating on the sheer pandering nuttiness of Dunkin's decision, to point out merely what a dumb business decision this was. It's a global company. There are 1.3 billion Muslims out there. The math is simple.

Dunkin Donuts with its "terrorist" scarved spokesperson, Rachael Ray and now this, Sharon Stone making a comment about "karma" in relationship with the recent earthquakes in China. Both companies acted irresponsibly over silly, non-issues.

Me either!!!" - in the front, a second Arianna Huffington 75% RR's size, and the least "photogenic" African-American Mayor Shirley Franklin on 75% of Huffington's size, what do we as men and women REALLY think of gender roles. POPSRachael Ray Has New Food Network Series I probably will like this because I enjoyed the one of her traveling around the US, but I think this might be overkill by continuing with her "30 Minute Meals". There's only so much Emeril you can watch and the same thing is happening with Paula Deen.
