POPSMcCain Drilling Reversal a $ Bonanza McCain's "straight talk" is apparently for sale. According to the report, "Oil and gas executives have not traditionally been a major source of campaign money for McCain. A breakdown of giving by the Center for Responsive Politics shows the industry falls 12th on a list of top donors, well behind securities firms, lawyers, banks, and real estate and health professionals." Now they dump big bucks into his campaign. I'm sure it's just a coincidence.

A flag hangs at half-staff and a bunting waved today outside the quarters of Ladder 111 Engine 214 in Bedford-Stuyvesant, days after 41-year-old firefighter Martin Simmons drowned trying to rescue his son while on vacation in Nevada. “Marty was what we call a premier firefighter in this company,” said firefighter Joe Honan. “He was almost one of the senior guys. He was a guy that took no trouble running things.”

POPSNetflix Continues to Grow Love Netflix. I have the Roku streaming box hooked up to the TV. I've mostly watched older classic movies and some stuff I missed along the way. One stinker was Mark Hamill in 1993's Time Runner. Avoid at all costs. I didn't make it all the way through it.
