POPSCIA and the U.S. "War On Drugs" Doublespeak
This is a classic case of "Forked Tongue". The following is from the article. "This is a pattern for the CIA. In an earlier era they were in partnership with a different set of drug dealers in South America. These drug dealers were interested in selling cocaine and the CIA needed money to finance its secret wars against the people of South and Central America. A natural alliance evolved between cocaine cartels and the CIA, since both had identical interests, namely to crush any popular government that considered land reform or nationalization of industries." One of the more prominent drug dealers in that story was Manuel Noriega, Panama’s military strongman. Noriega was on CIA payroll from the 1950’s until the mid-80’s. He was also a coke dealer, an ally of Pablo Escobar of the Medellin Cartel. The CIA needed some extra cash to fund its covert operations against freely elected governments in South America, notably Nicaragua’s Daniel Ortega (who was freely elected again in 200

POPSAutumn is Apple Time Early varieties include the classic Red Delicious, which are striped to solid and red, and have a sweet taste; and the Jonagold, a cross between a Jonathan and a Golden Delicious, and are bright red and can be sweet or slightly tart. Later varieties include Rome, Fuji, Granny Smith, and Jonathan. Romes are a deep red and are slightly sweet. Fuji’s range in color from gold to red and often have red striping, and are great for snacking. Granny Smith apples are green, tart apples that are perfect for baking. Jonathans have light red stripes over deep red or yellow and are slightly tart. For a quick and easy simmered fall punch, combine 2 cups apple juice, 1/2 cup orange juice, 1/4 tsp. cinnamon, and 2 or 3 cloves. Simmer on the stove for 20 to 30 minutes. Remove cloves before serving. ---------------------------

POPSAfghanistan - NOT a 'good war' "And of course, it is costing the people of Afghanistan more than anyone. Perhaps one of the most jolting things about watching the film is seeing image after terrible image of civilian suffering: desperate families mired in refugee camps, pain-stricken schoolgirls attacked with acid by the resurgent Taliban, countless injured men, women and children who are the "collateral damage" from errant U.S. bomb strikes. It is a punch-to-the-gut reminder of just how sanitized this war -- which Obama has always called the "right front" of the so-called war on terror -- has been".

POPSWho Does Our Government Work For?
The table would not clip, go to source to see it and learn more. Among the 61 recipients of these joint contributions are 11 senators who sit on the 23-member Senate Finance Committee. Four other Democratic senators on the Finance committee also received such contributions: Sens. John Kerry (D-Mass.), Blanche Lincoln (D-Ark.), Jay Rockefeller (D-W.Va.) and Deborah Stabenow (D-Mich.). - averaging about $19,800 in contributions per person from these clients and their external lobbyists during the two-and-a-half year period studied. On the other side of the aisle, 60 percent(!!) of the Republicans on the Senate Finance Committee were found to have accepted campaign contributions from these major health-related organizations and their outside lobbyists. Republican lawmakers received an average of $67,700 per person from these clients and their external lobbyists Sen. Pat Roberts (R-Kan.) received the most in such contributions, with $130,620. POPSrecipe: Zucchini "noodles" with pesto Made this last night. Fairly tasty, although my tastebuds wanted a bit more punch. Not sure what – olives wouldn't be quite right. Definitely want to try the ponzu-sesame oil-chili sauce version.

POPSIBDeditorials.com (”Radicals Wrote Failed Stimulus”) But buck up, Joe. The GOP, by running candidates like Mark Kirk for US Senate in Illinois and Jon Husted for Secretary of State in Ohio (to name only a couple), continues to demonstrate that it is perfectly capable of selling out sensible conservatism for the illusory and passing feel-good moment. _________________________________________ From Erick at RedState " “A Review of ACORN CEO Bertha Lewis’s Rolodex Suggests Strong White House Ties”: RedState has seen a list of Bertha Lewis’s contacts. We did not seek it out. It just showed up one day unsolicited. We did not ask for it. We did not expect to get it. But now that we have it, we should see who is in there. The President can say “I didn’t even know that ACORN was getting a whole lot of federal money,” but a review of Ms. Lewis’s contacts list suggests that is not the case. What a non-surprise. But having the goods is quite helpful. _________________________________________
