justchill
by justchill  2-6-2010
LONDON: Street Fighter IV has just launched for the PC, and to celebrate, Metaboli, the publisher of the PC version has come up with a great new publicity stunt: make Street Fighter II free, and playable from the web browser. Who needs all those fancy 3D graphics, right? Kongregate.com, if you’ve got Flash installed, you’ll be able to play Street Fighter II Champion Edition. While you’ll want to hook up a gamepad if possible, it works zippy enough with a keyboard. It also has Quake Live fragging sessions.

SET | Is health care reform DOA?
altaloman
by altaloman  1-29-2010
California's inoperable and ineffective government may have met its match: The U.S. Congress! Increasingly, it appears that the health care reform plan that has occupied so much congressional attention and time this year is going to stall and not reach the president's desk. Many would agree that the "stalemate" is not a bad thing. What will the voters thing come November? But again, perhaps all of this publicity may still be posturing as the various political factions try to rally support, either among congressional colleagues or the public. ___ SOURCE | http://googlelabs.twi.bz/x ___ SEARCH | http://google.twi.bz/vz ___ SET | SENIOR TIME | My iWEB Blogs | http://me.twi.bz/q ALTACITIES | http://altacities.com | http://me.twi.bz/X Help us reach 1,234 subscribers by 5:06 pm (7 sec) on 8-9-10 Matching the numerical sequence 12345678910 Details here | http://me.twi.bz/5 ___ 224 | A2G | Today, Tomorrow, Forever | According to Google

Heisman Trophy Winner Tim Tebow in SuperBowl Ad
charlieprofit
by charlieprofit  1-26-2010    2
I think it's great that Tim Tebow is not afraid to share his Faith with others. It's amazing that a wholesome message would be considered controversial, but commercials with less wholesome messages gather little to no publicity. Or when Christians oppose a message, we are adamantly (and rightfully) reminded of "Free Speech". Read more here:

Lady Antebellum: "America forgets my ancestors, while longing for the “glory days'"
zizzy

Commenter Talulah wrote: ,,, one of the things I find so funny about this lionization of the Old South is that it never really existed at all. ... The richest landowners were completely cash poor–everything was tied up in land and slaves, and they had pretty much no ready money ... incredible financial insecurity. Which in turn explains all their hysterical posturing in Congress. Oh, and no one spent all their time floating around in a sea of magnolias–even the richest plantation owner’s wives usually ended up doing hard physical labor. One contemporary diary discusses a guest’s embarassment at coming outside early in the morning and finding his rich hostess in a crappy gown, boiling her own laundry. They both just kind of looked away and pretended it never happened. Aaaaand that’s the story of the entire Old South: glamour that’s based upon nothing. They had a great publicity machine , I’ll give ‘em that, but it was never that much like Gone with the Wind.

Big deal. All this does is make him look like a martyr/victim and he will use the added publicity to the full. I don't believe for one second this idiot had 500 people who would march. Back in reality, we must wonder why a parasitic piece of filth like him is collecting a lifetime of welfare, and why is he not out seeking work when he is a lawyer? Oh, his kids get government benefits too. Ain't life grand. He must make hard working Muslim folks wish he would be deported. Or Hung. Well, one would hope so anyways.

Scaring Us Into Stupidity
debbyski

"Have we learned anything from the revelations that the Bush administration lied us into the need for a war in Iraq, lied about the need for torture, lied about the reason for spying, loss of constitutional rights, and an overwhelmingly powerful executive branch? Have we learned anything from the discovery that unnecessary war, torture and panic over sporadic terrorist attacks create more terrorism and reduce national security? Or will our fear of the underwear bomber and other terrorist acts scare us into stupidity again, as it did so many people during the Bush years?"

Keine Spenden mehr für Umweltorganisationen
nachrichten
by nachrichten  12-23-2009

nachrichten
by nachrichten  12-22-2009

North Carolina recently has had its share of negative publicity. A relatively minor brouhaha concerning a councilman who claims to be a "post-theist" has ignited a small blaze that has reached the national level. Ridicule is an excellent tool for changing perspective concerning silly laws. One wonders about the competence of the lawmakers in SC.
