POPSPlanned Parenthood Indoctrinates High-Schools I wonder if our tax dollars (via stimulus money) is paying for these new jobs? Perhaps these are the jobs Obama was talking about creating. The text claims they will stress abstinence, but of course the lefties believe abstinence programs don't work, so I doubt there will be much emphasis on that in this indoctrination program.

POPSHey America, WARS ARE STILL GOING ON!
A comment on a clip stated: “preventable deaths…how about Heart, lung disease, cancer, etc.?” Not sure what the clipper was getting at, citing these ills; calling them preventable? Anyway, it occurred to me… what about WAR; shouldn't that be at the top of this woeful list? The Bush admin, wanted WAR so badly, they started TWO! Of course, they could, 9/11, HAPPENED! (I’m still not convinced the attack occurred without a WINK & NOD.) Now 8 yrs later and still young people die because of that infamous day. We can’t blame Bush any longer, so who should bear the brunt of accountability for the bloodletting? Obama won the election, partly due to his stance against war and now he’s ratcheting up troop levels assuring its longevity? If he continues to act like Bush when it comes to WAR; He has not only misled us, he FUCKED us royally! And although I’m charmed by his eloquence, it can’t last… We, who despise war, won’t look the other way while he sends so many to die…& OVER WHAT?

POPSJust Call Him the Green Pitchfork Czar by Andy McCarthy (I'd wager, the very top) overrode any objections. The issue here isn't process. It's that Obama picked Van Jones because Obama adheres to Jones's Alinskyite views and tactics, and is entirely comfortable with what most of the public would see as the horrifying specter of Jones managing how billions of public dollars are spent. Mr. Jones’s involvement in the 1990s with a group called Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement prompted recent accusations by conservative critics that he associated with Communists. The group, according to a post-mortem written by some of its founders, was an anti-capitalist, antiwar organization committed to achieving “solidarity among all oppressed peoples” with “direct militant action.” Hold on there. Direct-action? The use of intimidation and extortion tactics, including law-breaking, to achieve political results? Where have we heard that before?

POPSBrown rocked as aide quits over war
more (at source): His criticism – which follows protests from military commanders over the lack of support for British forces in Afghanistan – carries extra weight given his army background and his role as Mr Ainsworth's parliamentary aide. Mr Joyce quit as two more British soldiers were killed in Afghanistan, bringing the number of UK deaths to 212. Forty-one British troops died in July and August alone, and polls have shown a slump in public support for involvement in Afghanistan. The timing of the resignation is particularly damaging to Mr Brown, who in a speech today was due to argue that the case for military action is as compelling as ever because three-quarters of terrorist attacks are orchestrated from the border areas of Afghanistan and Pakistan. But in a scathing letter to the Prime Minister last night, Mr Joyce directly contradicted him. He wrote: "I do not think the public will accept for much longer that our losses can be justified by simply referring to the risk of

POPSNEA: We Didn't Send Pro-ObamaCare Conf. Call Email Invites ...Documentation Shows They Did
In the article I argued that it was not the role of the National Endowment for the Arts to use the arts to address specific issues, especially those of “health care” and “energy and environment” that are being vehemently debated nationally. I also clearly indicated that I was invited by the NEA and questioned their involvement in a meeting of this nature. Kerry Picket reported in the article that she “asked the NEA for a copy of the invitation to the conference call, but Communications Director for the NEA Yosi Sergant told us that they were not the ones who sent out the invitations for the conference call.” Picket continues, “Mr. Sergant directed us to the Corporation for National and Community Service as the body that sent out the invitations.” Which leads me to my opening question: What does it mean when a government official evades the truth? Well, it typically means that the official, or the organization that they represent, has done something that may be considered

POPSIs Lockerbie Gordon Brown’s Watergate? The Lockerbie affair is an ugly can of worms that is slowly opening up. Is the Lockerbie scandal big enough to force an early exit by Gordon Brown, or at the very least the resignation of senior government ministers? Definitely. If it turns out that Brown or his ministers have deliberately misled the British public over the matter, it could prove to be a Watergate moment for the Prime Minister and force him to step down or spark a leadership challenge within the Labour Party. POPSU.S. Web-Tracking Plan Stirs Privacy Fears In a statement Monday, American Civil Liberties Union spokesman Michael Macleod-Ball said the move could "allow the mass collection of personal information of every user of a federal government website." Even groups that support updating the policy question whether the administration is seeking changes at the request of private companies, such as online search giant Google, as the industry's economic clout and influence in Washington have grown rapidly. Two prominent technology policy advocacy groups, the Electronic Privacy Information Center and Electronic Frontier Foundation, cited the terms of a Feb. 19 contract with Google, in which a unnamed federal agency explicitly carved out an exemption from the ban so that the agency could use Google's YouTube video player. Contract Terms The terms of the contract, negotiated through the General Services Administration, "expressly waives those rules or guidelines as they may apply to Google."

POPSPentagon Planning Deployment of Troops in Support of Nationwide Vaccination It is worth noting that this involvement of the military is not being decided by the President, but by the Secretary of Defense, which suggests that the Pentagon is, in a key issue of of national interest, overriding the President and Commander in Chief. The US Congress has not been consulted on the issue. This decision to mobilise the Armed Forces in the vaccination campaign is taken in anticipation of a national emergency. Although no national emergency has been called, the presumption is that a national public health emergency will occur, using the WHO Level 6 Pandemic as a pretext and a justification.

POPSNo Security for No-Fax Payday Loans Many business concerns are offering payday loans to the people in the need of instant cash. It is a significant fact to consider that going with the business requiring a security against the loan would be worthless instead of that requires no security.

POPSAftermath of Iran Elections Iran 'disqualifies' EU from talks Britain has denied allegations of involvement in the Iranian riots The EU is no longer qualified to take part in talks on Iran's nuclear programme, Iran's military chief says. Maj-Gen Hassan Firouzabadi, Iran's chief of staff, accused the EU of "interference" in riots which followed June's disputed presidential elections. EU states, meanwhile, are considering withdrawing their ambassadors from Iran in a growing diplomatic row. Britain proposed the step after Iran detained nine of its embassy staff last week. Eight have since been released. The BBC's European affairs correspondent Oana Lungescu says senior officials from EU capitals will discuss the request in Stockholm on Thursday. But diplomats say that Germany and Italy - Iran's biggest trading partners in the EU - oppose it, arguing that channels of dialogue with Iran should be kept open.

POPS$5,000.00 Fine: Michele Bachmann Refuses To Fill Out 2010 Census Due To ACORN Involvement Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann told the Washington Times that she and her family will not be fully filling out the 2010 census forms. Bachmann, a Republican, said her family will only be indicating the number of people in the household, because “the Constitution doesn’t require any information beyond that.” Bachmann believes the upcoming census to be “very intricate” and “very personal” and expresses concerns about ACORN’s involvement in the data collection. The community organizing program came under scrunity after charges of voter registration fraud during the 2008 presidential elections. Bachmann has claimed the $8.5 billion available multiple times, but it should be noted that the St. Petersburg Times’ affiliated fact check Web site, Politifact.com, disputes its accuracy. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Bachmann may be in trouble if she fails to fill out the entire census.

POPSAn Obama "scandal" as phony as Whitewater
Full piece details why: -There is no scandal because the settlement against Johnson was made public months ago and the US Attorney filed no charges -Walpin is a far rightwingnut partisan who was charged with ethical violation over his involvement w/ Johnson: The U.S. attorney said that Walpin had "overstepped his authority by electing to provide my office with selective information and withholding other potentially significant information at the expense of determining the truth" -- in other words, Walpin had failed to provide substantive exculpatory facts to the U.S. attorney, while trying to push the government into opening a criminal probe of Johnson... Brown noted that Walpin had sought publicity for his findings against Johnson... before discussing them with the U.S. Atty's Office, "hindering our investigation"... served at the pleasure of the president, who may well have taken some pleasure in ousting him -- and need make no apology if he did.

POPSThe Dawning of Internet Censorship in Germany Censoring the internet is an obvious censorship of free speech. The specter of government involvement in determining what is ‘appropriate’ for its citizens to access and/or view is repugnant. A government that suppresses this freedom is taking on the relationship of a parent to a child. This type of relationship is not appealing and no government has the right to expect this of its citizens. Instead, this turned out to be a example of how allowing the public to participate in government decisions a solution was worked out that did not censor the internet. Something the U.S. government needs to allow. It matters little how noble the reason or what the intended goal is in its pursuit of censorship, once the government is allowed to partake of this power it will invariably abuse it and want more. This is simply human nature.

POPSDiscord Grows Over Public HealthCare Plan An analysis by the Lewin Group, a health care consulting firm, found that a public plan such as Medicare would draw 119 million people away from private insurers. That's because a plan patterned after Medicare could pay doctors and hospitals 20% to 30% less than its private competitors.

POPSWhen Rape Fantasies Involve Conservative Women, Feminists Are Silent
Playboy made the miscalculation of assuming that conservative men are misogynistic pigs and, yes, sent the press release to them. They thought they would have a friendly audience that would link back. Did liberal men bloggers get the list? Probably not, but Playboy would have found more sympathy with them. As conservative women know, the most vicious attacks come from leftist male bloggers. Spending some time in the comment section of an opinionated conservative woman blogger will curl toes. It’s not for the faint of heart. Conservative women bloggers are used to being sexualized, objectified, and called names. Conservative women generally know that any voiced public opinion or any public involvement will mean attempted personal destruction. Which is the point of the Playboy list — get conservative women to shut up. Specifically, get beautiful, smart, young conservative women to shut up. Get them to leave the public sphere. Can you say Sarah Palin?

POPSJudicial Watch Obtains Obama Documents Detailing ACORN Partnership for 2010 Cens
Census Bureau refuses to partner with "Hate Groups, Law Enforcement, Anti-Immigrant Groups" The documents also show the decision to add ACORN as a partner occurred in February, long after the January 15th Census partnership application deadline. Among other conclusions from the documents: * The Census Bureau requested that ACORN "help us highlight innovation and hard work and share best practices so other organizations can learn from your experiences." * Members of the Census Bureau and Department of Commerce staff assigned to organize the 2010 Census were unaware of when the decision to involve ACORN was made, how the Census Bureau choose and defined partners, or whether partners received payment. * The Census Bureau did not conduct background checks on the 3.7 million people hired to conduct the 2000 Census, unless a preliminary name check provided a match. Overall, 8% of the applicants, or over 300,000 people, were considered risks for hire.

POPSDocuments Detail ACORN's Partnership for 2010 Census "Given its history of illegal activity and fraud, ACORN should be nowhere near the 2010 Census," said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. "And shame on the Obama Commerce Department for continuing to demonize conservatives by lumping together law enforcement and anti-immigration groups with 'hate groups.' This discriminatory policy raises First Amendment concerns. Indeed, these documents provide further evidence that the Obama administration is politicizing the 2010 Census."

POPSA HealthCare System Truly Owned And Controlled By Patients
Proponents of such a plan assert that the inadequacies of our current health care system are the product of a failed free market. Market mechanisms have been trampled by governmental involvement in care, primarily through Medicare — the government’s public option for seniors. Obama's Grand Gamble http://www.politico.com/specialsection/healthcare/ Since it would be backed by the federal treasury, not built upon market principles and efficiencies, any public option would effectively destroy the private insurance market. With the government subsidizing costs through higher taxes, the plan would offer “lower” fees for the services it offers. As Washington bureaucracies view health care in terms of dollars and cents, instead of patients and doctors, this government-run plan would, like Medicare, end up limiting access to treatments, prescriptions and procedures that it deems “ineffective.” You may know this process by another word: rationing.
