POPSTV Turnoff network sponsors NO TV WEEK! I've been TV free for 6 months. I gave away my TV and disconnected cable service. Since then, I've also cut off home internet. This is coming from a self-appointed web geek, programmer, graphic designer etc. When I need to check email etc, I go to the library or do it from work. I am quitting my FT Programming job and do some light freelancing for a company nearby twice a week, but otherwise, I am starting up a Powerwashing company to make ends meet. I will now get paid to sit outside all day over the spring and summer squirting water on stuff. I spend all of my free time talking with friends out at coffee houses, doing gardening and hiking, and generally enjoying the heck out of life. It is so cool to see that there's an organization dedicated to this.
