POPSGet Lost, Khadafy! Realtor Nixes Uptown Rental!
Residents of Englewood, NJ, had already rejected his plan to stay at a home the Libyan Mission owns there, so diplomats approached Haber about the swank rental pad he was peddling at 5 E. 78th St. "They were very rude on the phone, and I asked who it was for. They said it was for a high-ranking member of the Libyan delegation, and they said there would be high security," he said. "It sounded more and more to me as we spoke that this was for Khadafy." But while only one of the building's three apartments was on the block -- a 3,700-square-foot duplex for $28,000 a month -- the Libyans insisted on renting the whole building. "At that point, I knew the deal couldn't happen, so I was hoping maybe I could solve an international political situation through a simple real-estate deal -- but I guess it wasn't meant to be," he said. Following that rejection, the Libyans finally settled on housing their leader at the country's East 48th Street mission.

POPSIslamic Supremacist Group Holds First U.S. Conference
director of the Future of Terrorism Project at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, told FOXNews.com. Phares said that Hizb ut-Tahrir, rather than training members to carry out terrorist acts like Al Qaeda, focuses instead on indoctrinating youths between ages of 9 and 18 to absorb the ideology that calls for the formation of an empire " or "khilafah" " that will rule according to Islamic law and condones any means to achieve it, including militant jihad. Hizb ut-Tahrir often says that its indoctrination "prepares the infantry" that groups like Al Qaeda take into battle, Phares said. "It's like a middle school that prepares them to be recruited by the high school, which is Al Qaeda," he said. "One would compare them to Hitler youth. ... It's an extremely dangerous organization." Phares said Hizb ut-Tahrir has strongholds in Western countries, including Britain, France and Spain, and clearly is looking to strengthen its base in the U.S.

POPSBig Brother moves to Tiburon So, rather than tell the residents to LOCK THEIR DOORS, they'd rather spend $100,000 on videotaping and logging the license plate of every car that crosses the city limits. I knew there were reasons I never go to Tiburon...

POPSEarth Hour Definitely Isn’t a Bunch of Crap I pulled up to Al’s house, located in the posh Belle Meade section of Nashville, at 8:48pm – right in the middle of Earth Hour. I found that the main spotlights that usually illuminate his 9,000 square foot mansion were dark, but several of the lights inside the house were on. In fact, most of the windows were lit by the familiar blue-ish hue indicating that floor lamps and ceiling fixtures were off, but TV screens and computer monitors were hard at work. (In other words, his house looked the way most houses look about 1:45am when their inhabitants are distractedly watching “Cheaters” or “Chelsea Lately” reruns.) The kicker, though, were the dozen or so floodlights grandly highlighting several trees and illuminating the driveway entrance of Gore’s mansion. Okay, maybe it’s not fair to hold the President of the Environment to the same standard as everybody else.

POPSQueen Elizabeth Obama-Fies Her Website Time magazine notes that the British Monarchy updated its official Website earlier this month. The revamped site offers more personal details about the royal family, including interactive maps and a lot more video. While the site is (naturally) very different in look/feel from WhiteHouse.gov, could this be another example of the Obama effect on technology?
