POPSThe Politcs of Exploitation "The ramifications of ACORN and the incident at the Burlington School (and other similar occurrences are coming to light) reach far beyond those situations. America will never be a land of opportunity for all, as long as its population can be successfully divided into "subcultures," some of which are willing to be herded like sheep. Any portion of the population that accepts such a role can expect to be methodically trodden down in perpetuity."

POPSPermission? Long article at source - required reading... The public has an legal obligation to let the government know when they are displeased, and the only part that armed thugs in police uniforms need to play in this is to insure that the traffic flow continues (around the demonstrations), and that property is not destroyed. That's what they get paid to do. It is not the job of "police" to censor or to silence whatever the public has come out to say-to the so-called powers-that-be.

POPSPolitcs, Profits, Protection US penalizes Chinese tires, infuriating Beijing President Barack Obama's decision to impose trade penalties on Chinese tires has infuriated Beijing at a time when the U.S. badly needs Chinese help on climate change, nuclear standoffs with Iran and North Korea and the global economy. For the Chinese government, the tire dispute threatens an economic relationship crucial to China's economic growth. There was speculation before the decision that new tariffs could produce public pressure on Beijing to retaliate, potentially leading to a trade war. http://bit.ly/Chinese_trade_war

POPSObama's Health Caters to Incoherent What is the plan Mr. President? You condemn insurance companies and doctors, yet you want everyone to have free health care without profit? Just because members of our society are divided by the public education system into dropouts and graduates, you want equal outcomes for both. Equal outcomes for both dropouts and graduated have never worked in mankind's history.

POPSTired of Divisive Whining - Not John Do these guys have anything to say? Even republicans I know who are voting for them think this is divisive and bad for the country. What really disturbs me is the continued mantra - "the full extent of the relationship with Senator Obama is not known." In his mind no explanation will be good enough. It is the most despicable, divisive and detestable kind of attempted smear. Forget that Obama, the campaign, FactCheck.org, and many media outlets have said that the relationship consisted of participation on the charitable

POPSThe right answer on Acorn Forget the partisan bull. If ACORN is paying people based on either quotas or the number of registrations submitted, that is wrong, stupid and bad policy. And if they are on Obama's side, they aren't doing him any favors. Stop whining about partisan politics and being defensive, tell us how you operate and what you do.

POPSRace in the race One wonders when people (on both sides of the aisle) will realize that skin pigmentation has nothing to do with brain function.

POPSWhat Palin Did I don't get why news agencies are confused. She violated the ethics laws by trying to get the trooper fired. She didn't violate anything by firing the Commissioner of Public Safety. How hard is that? She legally violated Alaska's Executive Branch Ethics Act.

POPSMcCain's Anger Part II Is this the man you want running the country? Is this the temperament you want for commander in chief of the most powerful military force in the world? Is this the kind of person you want to be negotiating with the likes of China, Russia, Iran and Saudi Arabia? Is this the kind of person you want to solidify relationships with allies? I used to think I could possibly vote for McCain. Obama seemed too full of fluff. Obama has not gained much in the way of substance. But I simply can't vote for McCain any more.

POPSIsrael and Palestians close to peace deal? It's hard not to be skeptical about this type of thing, but it sure would be amazing to see Israel and some of their neighbors find a peaceful way to co-exist. The implications for the world seem enormously beneficial.

POPSWhat Obama should have said I've been back and forth about Obama and Clinton for a while now, but i must say that i was deeply disappointed and upset about the way he handled the Rev. Wright issue. i don't think he should have used the outing of his racist pastor to give a general speech about race in America. i think he should have stepped up and forcefully spoken out against Wright and admitted his bad judgment in being affiliated with him. His ability to respond to every issue with an eloquent speech is something i'm beginning to find scary and disingenuous.

POPSPresidential isn't he? I was a Republican when they were actually conservative, I voted for this.... Seriously; I repent, there are few things I have done in my life that I actually feel the need to repent for, but throwing my freedom away is one i likely will live to regret, hell, I already do.

POPSWake up and smell the fascism Yet at the same time, US officials have continued to characterize the USA as a "nation of laws" and one that in the "war on terror" is committed to what it calls the "non-negotiable demands of human dignity", including the "rule of law" That government is best which governs least. -- Thomas Paine Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom must, like men, undergo the fatigue of supporting it." -- Thomas Paine

POPSWhat is wrong with you people? Another illegal war, because of a boogie man that may not exist. Think about this for just a minute, using this logic, we would have attacked the USSR... "Freedom is not defined by safety. Freedom is defined by the ability of citizens to live without government interference. Government cannot create a world without risks, nor would we really wish to live in such a fictional place. Only a totalitarian society would even claim absolute safety as a worthy ideal, because it would require total state control over its citizens’ lives. Liberty has meaning only if we still believe in it when terrible things happen and a false government security blanket beckons." Ron Paul

POPSGovernment continues assault against the constitution There was a Republic that was once strong and proud and loved liberty above all things. Then the people became complacent and lazy and decided that they would abdicate their responsibility of self governance, they let others take it away. This bill that passed the House, and stands before the Senate will make free speech on the air waves against the law if it is considered "radical" or construed as inciting violence against the federal government. Of course, it will be left up to the Department of Homeland Security to provide the definitions. You can read the bill here and decide if I'm an alarmist or not http://www.govtrack.us/congress/billtext.xpd?bill=h110-1955

POPSDo we want the IMF managing our finances? Hell bent toward globalization and the NWO the sheep hand over more control to a centralized international body. Think about it a minute, do you want an international consortium deciding whether or not you can have a mortgage? do you want the UN policing your streets, running your government, running your affairs? Shut up and go back to sleep world, the NWO is firmly in controll

POPSDemocrats go to War The Dems seemed to have picked the summer season to go to war with their favorite enemy; the evil rich. It is hard for them to find a terrorist or dictator not to their liking, but the thrifty, productive, and successful bring out their battle flags. As per usual, they have a bit of trouble figuring out their exact quarry ... $500K, $200K, even $75K the Democrats are far better with nearly anyone's money than the people themselves, so they feel it is a huge benefit to all if they can just get it away from those nasty folks that have managed to make it. Subsidize what you want more of -- retirement of productive people, more ineffective union educators, scads of government union employees. Tax what you want less of -- business, productivity, income. Soon some Democrat will tell us that "the best years of the US are behind us" ... no doubt it will be Bush's fault!
