POPSBrave Jack Russell Died To Save Children From Pitbull Attack "There's no doubt that George was a small dog with a lion's share of courage," said PDSA director general Jan McLoughlin. "Each account of his devotion to the five children on the day of the incident tells of a dog that was not afraid to face great fear in order to protect his friends. "The children will never forget George's sacrifice and PDSA is proud to honour this exceptionally brave dog." The PDSA Gold Medal is the highest honour for outstanding animal bravery and exceptional dedication.

POPSHeroic Pitbull Rescues Family in Assault, which Abandons Him at "Shelter"--part 2
I'd seen so many dogs leaving their kennels and never coming back that it made me wonder when it was going to be my turn to take my last walk down that long hallway. While I was in the shelter the doctor diagnosed me with heart worm she said this is something that I need to have medical treatment for to cure right away. I'm so relieved that a team of rescuers whom I have never met in MN are willing to save my life and find me a family to call my own. The staff at the shelter were very surprised that the lady whose life I saved never came back to return the favor or that my owners never came looking for me. Do you have room at your house for me ? I would love to have a nice yard to play in and my very own kid to cuddle up with. If it's not too much to ask I may need a sweater to keep me warm since I'm a southern boy who has never experienced winter. If you don't have a spare sweater for me that's ok a nice big place in your heart would even feel better. I'd seen so many dogs l

POPSHeroic Pitbull Rescues Family in Assault, which Abandons Him at "Shelter" I was afraid that he was going to hurt them so I did what any guy would do witnessing that kind of a dangerous situation. I was so proud of myself for doing such a good deed, everyone kept telling me how good of a boy I was for springing into action it felt amazing to be so appreciated by everyone who surrounded me at that moment. After the coward ran away I jumped in the back seat of her car and waited for the police to come and make sure this woman and her little boy were going to be safe. Then instead of her taking me home with her, she sent me with animal control. I could not believe it I was stuck in jail for being a hero, this was really confusing because I thought only bad guys go to jail not hero's. The lady I protected told the police that if my owners never came back to claim me that she would adopt me herself, but I never saw her again.

POPS5 Reasons to Put Down ‘Pitbull’ Palin Sarah Palin certainly made a positive and colorful impact on the political arena, with her acceptance speech being watched by 40 million, resulting in percentage points gained in the polls. Everything looked rosy for the Republicans.

POPSAs Soon As That Woman Opens Her Pitbull Lips There is nothing but false rhetoric and downright dumb schmitt coming out. What an obvious fraud being dumped on by the Repugnant Party. Like last ditch attempts to see how uninformed the American public really is and how little they think they must do to shove this schmitt down the throats of the voters.

POPSA Recovering L.A. Times Reporter Blogs Sarah Live 7:57 p.m.: I’m guessing Jack Bauer of “24″ would vote for Gov. Palin. 8:01 p.m.: Holy crap! She’s a pitbull and has opened a can of Whoop-ass on Barack Obama. 8:05 p.m.: Palin has managed to make Obama look insignificant, McCain appear heroic, and herself: a grassroots American who won’t back down from a fight. 8:09 p.m.: Palin has just hijacked the presidential campaign. I’ve got a skeptical, Obama-loving wife and some liberal sons, and they all think she killed it. 8:11 p.m.: She gets bonus points if that skirt is actually leather. 8:13 p.m.: Incredible visuals at the end: pregnant teenage daughter, goofy (but handsome) father of teenage daughter’s baby, Down’s Syndrome baby. POPSYou're Not Getting Your Old Dog Back This story highlights what I think is one of the more common misconceptions about cloning. It sounds like the woman in this article feels like she's getting her old dog Booger back. While it's true she's getting an exact genetic replica of Booger, he could end up being very different than the original. Much of Boogers personality and capabilities were the result not only of his genetic make-up, but of his life experience. There's no way to exactly duplicate that experience, so it's very likely the cloned Boogers will be somewhat if not very different than the original. This could be true for some of his physical characteristics as well, as some of them are influenced by life's experiences. While I believe cloning can hold great promise, people need to realize it can't be used to bring a dead loved one back to life.
