POPSInter-Risk Company, US-Contracted Security Firm, Raided By Pakistani Police The U.S. says there is no truth in the reports, but they have resonated with the many Pakistanis familiar with allegations that Blackwater employees were involved in unprovoked killings of Iraqi civilians. Police official Rana Akram said that two Inter-Risk employees were arrested and being questioned. He said authorities were also seeking the company's owner, a retired Pakistani army captain. Reporters were shown the weapons – 61 assault rifles and nine pistols – that were seized by dozens of police from the sites in pre-dawn raids in the capital, Islamabad.

It's often mislabeled the "border shift" which is a different maneuver involving tossing your empty gun from your firing hand to your off hand, while simultaneously tossing a loaded gun from your off hand to your shooting hand. "Road agent" is the American western term for what the English would call a "Highwayman", i.e. a horse-mounted bandit. Interesting fact: In Britain, a Highwayman was considered a higher class of criminal than a mere "footpad", because at least the highwayman could afford to keep a horse. Better to be robbed by the poor and aristocratic, rather than the merely poor.

They retreated after the security officers returned fire and sprayed them with water hoses. The ship continued its journey with its windows darkened. But Saturday's exchange of fire between the Melody and pirates was one of the first reported between pirates and a nonmilitary ship. Civilian shipping and passenger ships have generally avoided arming crewmen or hiring armed security for reasons of safety, liability and compliance with the rules of the different countries where they dock. Pellegrino said the pistols on board the Melody were available to the commander and security agents. He said they were used as a deterrent, "in an emergency operation."
