POPSSo you think the economy is on the mend. Hate to burst anyone's bubble, but if you have 20 min. then follow the link and learn from Nomi Prins that nothing has changed. If anything the structure that caused the economy to fall has gotten worse.

POPSA Libertarian Revival "You and I are told we must choose between a left or right, but I suggest there is no such thing as a left or right. There is only an up or down. Up to man's age-old dream -- the maximum of individual freedom consistent with order -- or down to the ant heap of totalitarianism. Regardless of their sincerity, their humanitarian motives, those who would sacrifice freedom for security have embarked on this downward path. Plutarch warned, " 'The real destroyer of the liberties of the people is he who spreads among them bounties, donations and benefits.' " Ronald Reagan - Address to the nation, October 27, 1964

POPSObama offers partnership — and humour Is Obama now Chavez's latest Amigo, joining with the ever increasing list of friends of the Venezuelan leader? What 'balls'! Al last, America has a leader that will not be chased out of South America, as Bush was. Long live peace for all in the Americas.

POPSHelp Wanted: Vikings If you have the looks and manners of Hagar the Horrible or Helga from American Gladiators, then you could get paid to pillage and plunder for two days at Lake Tahoe just for submitting a video!

POPSWhen You Put It That Way, It Seems So Simple I like this comment, too. . . . . . . . . . . . . Capitalism is mankind’s first best attempt at a paradigm other than plunder and pillage. It is, at its best the willing exchange between two parties on mutually agreed upon terms. Socialism is saying, we don’t think you need or deserve what you have, there being more of us than there are of you, we will take from you what we wish. It is a return to the pillage and plunder paradigm Exhibit A in the Plunder and Pillage Paradigm: The US Congress.

POPSOne justice away from tyranny I'm really sick and tired of the people who see this as giving the enemy rights; this protection of constitutional standards. So many people are willing to give up their own freedoms and rights under the fear that international bogymen are going to pillage their women and rape their lands ;P I see people who believe this to be the real, tangible enemy. I can point to a Bush apologist and say "That man right there, he wants to erode my constitution. He is therefore my enemy."

POPSCan Americans Stop Bush/Cheney From Attacking Iran? The Answer is Yes! An interestingg idea--a national strike...read the whole article to understand my comment: I think Mad Jayhawk, who is aptly self-named, not so subtly tells us why a strike in "Murrika might not be possible. "murrikans are addicted to war as well as oil. We are too diverse, apathetic and delusional as a populace to pull together in "solidarity". I doubt that haf the people know what solidaroity means or could fathom the idea of a national strike. We're too selfish and still haven't reached the crisis level needed. Unfortunate and a bit sad, neh? Sorry to sound so negative about a strike I would join in a heartbeat but that's the way I see this benighted nation. Sick, ain't it?

POPSLincoln, the Hypocrite and Thanksgiving--Religious Propaganda to Cover War Crimes
History as taught is a fabrication to indoctrinate into an artificial unity. Lincoln was no more a Christian than was Thomas Paine, the Deist who wrote against the Bible. The real motive behind Lincoln's hypocritical declaration of Thanksgiving (advised by Seward, who was Lincoln's Karl Rove) was, per the above, because "it pleases the fools"--i.e. it was religious propaganda in order to cover up the unlawful, anti-constitutional invasion of the Southern States, the burning of their cities, the rape and pillage of Sherman's army by calling for Thanksgiving. (The parallels between invasion of Iraq and invasion of the South are striking). Lincoln was distrusted by not only the South but many in the North. Christians saw him as a Deist not a Christian as his own words demonstrate. Lincoln, like most of the Presidents, was not a Christian and used religion like a hypocrite for political purposes, not unlike GWB.

POPSWant coal? Blow up a mountain! A spokesman for the National Mining Association, Luke Popovich, said that unless mine owners were allowed to dump mine waste in streams and valleys it would be impossible to operate in mountainous regions like West Virginia that hold some of the richest low-sulfur coal seams. All mining generates huge volumes of waste, known as excess spoil or overburden, and it has to go somewhere. For years, it has been trucked away and dumped in remote hollows of Appalachia. Environmental activists say the rule change will lead to accelerated pillage of vast tracts and the obliteration of hundreds of miles of streams in central Appalachia.
