Its fur has an olive-grey color with dark spots arranged stripe-like running along the length of the body. The face has a distinctly flat-nosed appearance. The size varies between locations. While Indian specimens grow to 80 cm (32 in) plus 30 cm (12 in) tail, Indonesian fishing cats only reach 65 cm (26 in) plus 25 cm (10 in) tail. Indian individuals weigh up to 11.7 kg (26 lbs), while in Indonesia adult fishing cats weigh in at up to approximately 6 kg (13 lbs). They are stocky of build with medium short legs, and a short muscular tail of one half to one third of the length of the rest of the animal. Like its closest relative, the Leopard Cat, the Fishing Cat lives along rivers, brooks and mangrove swamps.

POPSWe have two new cats... just not yet Pirate and I went to the Oakland Animal Shelter today looking to adopt two cats, and fell madly in love with these two. They're a mother and daughter pair who were surrendered by their owner just yesterday. The white one with dilute calico patches (on the right in most of these photos) is the daughter (about 8 months old), and the white one with grey tabby patches is the mother (about a year and a half or so). They both need to be spayed, so we won't be able to bring them home until Friday afternoon.

POPSObama Making American Kennel Club Mad We have a can have a say in everything, but is this really any of are business. This is a personal family decision. So many people are impulsive and put no thought or research into there chose of dog with many returned to the pound. I love rescue dogs and have some of my own along with 2 Welsh Corgis, so I do understand rescuing. At least he is giving it a responsible, measured decision. Let the couple decide what school for there children and what pet they have.

POPSFlickr has Porn
As a Flickr member I can opt out of seeing pictures by people who post nude or pornigraphic pictures...but I wonder, who else is looking at them? Should I worry that my granddaughter who is 13 years old may mosey on into one of these porn sites on what I thought was mostly used for sharing family photos, like new babies, picnics in the park and pictures you took during vacation....I also know that some pictures of children are being stolen and used in ads or blogs....I found one of my pictures of my 3 day old grandson on a wordpress.org blog where they talk about having cancer. You can imagine my shock, when I saw his picture displayed (he was yawning and if you didn't know it, he looked more like he was crying in pain)....Evidently the author was trying to lure readers who want to see someone (in this case babies) suffering and in pain...I immediately set the picture to private...when I last checked the image was gone, but my name over it is still there, with a link to my Flickr
