POPSMostly African American Children are Assaulted Legally in Schools
Just as slavery, Jim Crow laws and the subjugation of women in the USA are looked upon as primitive and embarrassing practices, I believe that corporal punishment in schools will someday be looked upon as a strange and inexplicably cruel practice. It will also be looked upon as another vehicle of racism as this study indicates. What will the conservative critics say in response? That African American children misbehave more in schools and, therefore, deserve the punishment? But isn't that what they say about higher incarceration rates for African Americans? So what is the picture that emerges from those who rationalize these institutional racist practices? In my view, it tells us that (their denials notwithstanding) conservatives believe that from childhood to adulthood African Americans are naturally more disposed to violate cultural norms, to act out in an anti-social manner. It's a racist orientation masquerading as a pro law and order stance. Corporal punish

POPS Obama’s Dual Citizenship: An Overview I am getting reports from different sources that Obama traveled to Pakistan in ‘81 with an Indonesian passport. Prior to 2007 (and possibly earlier), Indonesian law did not permit dual citizenship. Thus, if Obama actively kept his Indonesian citizenship, his US citizenship could be challenged. I suspect that Obama may have dumped his Indonesian citizenship at some point along the way, to advance his political career. But I would not be shocked if he still holds it. This question, however, should not overshadow the serious problem of hiding his Indonesian identity from the electorate.

POPSEbullion - The Daughter of Pamela Fayed has been given authority over mothers interests Pamela Fayed's 18 year old daughter has been appointed by a judge , special administrator over her mothers affairs. The authority allows the daughter to waive attorney-client privilege on behalf of her mother, which will allow investigators to question both divorce and criminal lawyers on conversations they had with their client in the months leading up to her death The lawyer representing the companies objected to her having control over her mothers interest in them. The judge gave her control over any documents that may help in the murder case but not over those detailing business operations News item here http://www.latimes.com/news/printedi...,4780871.story

POPSAnthrax Suspect Was Not the Culprit
Yet officially he committed "suicide" while he did not know that he was to be charged? (What was his motive for suicide if he did not know he would be charged?) His friends and key scientists vehemently reject and refute the FBI's fingering him (in a desperate attempt to close the case). That the anthrax letters (sent to only Democratic leaders in Congress, Daschle and Leahy) contained the words "Allah is great" also demonstrates this was a false flag action with clear intent to blame Arabs and "Islamic terrorists" to heighten the propaganda and fear campaign and coerce Congress to pass draconian legislation for the PATRIOT ACT, Homeland Security, and permit a definition less "war on terrorism" (all contrary to the Constitution) and cede all power to the Executive branch. The motive appears clear by the anthrax letters form and content, and the effects upon the country, which are inconsistent with the alleged motive of this good standing scientist that was trusted until now.

POPSThe putsch that imperiled America "Others have been less scrupulous for reasons that do them even less credit than ideological fanaticism. Take, for example, former Pentagon general counsel William J. Haynes II. In a sworn statement, Air Force Col. Morris Davis -- the former top prosecutor in the Office of Military Commissions -- says he resigned after being pressured by Haynes to move forward with politically "sexy" prosecutions even though Morris believed the evidence against the defendants had been obtained by torture. Davis said he also told Haynes that a few acquittals at Guantanamo, if warranted, would send a message that the commissions sitting there were fair, just as the not-guilty verdicts against some Nazi defendants had done for the Nuremberg trials. Haynes' response was emphatic, according to Morris: "We can't have acquittals! We've got to have convictions! ... If we've been holding these guys for so long, how can we explain letting them get off?""

POPSMan Against Census Skipping Same-Sex Pairs The Globe said same-sex marriage advocates say the act should not apply to the 2010 U.S. Census as the survey would not result in any immediate personal benefits for potential same-sex participants.

POPSCultural Dubai Friday is the holy day in Islam, but it’s the day of drunk partying and sexual debauchery for Westerners. And there is almost no cultural integration between the locals and the foreigners. Compounded by all this is the fact that Dubai is a hereditary monarchy with no parliament. Ordinary people have no way for their voice to be heard except in the streets and mosques were fury is reportedly growing. A terrorist attack could be carried out by a disgruntled local—but not necessarily. Dubai’s high regional profile makes it a likely target for Al Qaeda, which now seems incapable of launching an attack in the West, and who could see Dubai as an easy chance to kill some infidels. Moreover, since Dubai is the Middle East’s cosmopolitan melting pot, and its experiment with Islamic capitalism could become the blueprint for surrounding Arab states, its failure would have dire consequences for the entire region.

POPSObama’s $50 Billion AIDS Bill Up For Vote
However, the United Nations over the years has greatly exaggerated the number of those with HIV/AIDS and it is still difficult to get accurate estimates of the problem. Richard Darling of the FAIR Foundation told AIM on Friday that federal funding for most diseases is being cut back while spending on AIDS is continuing to rise. fairfoundation.org/ On Friday, the Senate voted 65-3 to proceed to floor action on the bill, with many members absent or not voting. Those voting to invoke cloture and proceed included Senate Republican Leader McConnell. However, this does not mean that all of those voting to bring the bill to the Senate floor will support it when a final vote on the actual legislation is taken. Some lawmakers have been intimidated by AIDS activists coming to Washington to deliver funeral wreaths to those standing in the way of the passage of the legislation. Opponents of the bill have been labeled as “Global AIDS Super villains” by the homosexual lobby.

POPSGeorge Bush's Socialist Solution to Fannie & Freddie It's a good thing Bush is a Republican. Otherwise his federal bailout would qualify him as a "red." Like Regan with the savings and loan crisis, lurking in the hearts of "conservatives" is a quasi Bolshevik to rescue them once they've wrecked the economy through permitting rapacious profit-taking and inadequate regulation.
