POPSLancashire reporter upholds journalistic values It is the story stupid. Behind the headlines are always the victims. For Andy Miller and his immediate family it means that four teenagers will be growing up without their father. For Greg Pope, MP Accrigton Labour, a decent, honest man, the weight of working within such a corrupt regime seems too much and he is sadly leaving Parliament. The one shining light is the emergence of a good, clear reporter in a paper that still hold values of decency and accuracy.

POPSNorth Korea should stick to nuclear threats. Honestly, this is hilarious. I mean we are talking about a country that is positioning itself as a serious nuclear threat - but here they are ragging on the style of dress of the Secretary of State of the U.S. I can just picture a bunch of North Korean nutballs sitting around a table laughing at potential one-liners they would use to dis her. And this is the best they could come up with???

POPSPensioner bus pass doubts This is in Scotland. In Blackpool there is not doubt. If Peter Callow had his way he would abolish it today. That £15K that's fifteen thousand pounds stirling - he and his wife claimed for expenses would go a long way to easing disabled riders and pensioners dilemmas.

POPSTeen guilty of Fylde grandfather murder Why are teenagers so ready to use violence? I have my views and they probably go contrary to general opinion. It has to stop and Westminster has proved itself incapable of addressing the problem. Like everything else they do it is all talk and no action. Like Westminster itself, it is all about time it changed.

POPSElderly scooter rider takes wrong turn This is a sad situation. Forgive me but I have to suppress my urge to laugh. When I picture it in my mind, it turns into a comedy skit or part of a movie. I am glad he is OK

POPSGreenies Already Killing Old People In Australia Coming soon to America. They want to install those lovely "smart meters" and make electricity and gas and everything else - much more expensive during peak times. On top of the tripling of basic rates they plan just as a start.

POPSLabours good intentions going awry. I was informed that pensioners could not use their passes on National Express routes that were over 50 miles??? The confusion is not of the pensioner’s doing. It is another example of a government not thinking through or even debating fully what a great idea for the aged and disabled it is. One of the most asked questions is - do I go to Fleetwood on the tram? I either reply, have you been on a tram? Or, have you ever pushed someone in a wheel-chair? It is then that you are confirmed that you are talking to an idiot.
