I will probably not make may friends with these comments, but I have always made a point with clipmarks, to speak my mind and heart. Am I alone in believing that perhaps we have milked 9/11 just a bit too much at this point? Please do not misunderstand. I have no problem with tasteful memorial events on a limited and personal level. After all these decades there are still small tributes paid each year on Dec. 7th to commemorate the events at Pearl Harbour. But 9/11 has been used shamelessly for propaganda purposes as well as political expediency, that for many people it seems to have lost the true meaning of what a commemoration should be. Rather than arguing about the exact venue of the service, what should be important to those who wish to participate is that it is done with dignity, a lack of publicity, and in a manner that is not suitable for exploitation by those politicians who would pounce on this tribute as a way of positioning themselves for the electorate.
