POPSAnother nice review of Amplify We haven't been seeking out the reviews, but nice to see Amplify getting noticed. I clipped this paragraph because it speaks to one of the reasons we created Amplify as a separate service from Clipmarks. We really didn't want to disturb the user experience or community on Clipmarks.com, but we wanted a way to better support Twitter and Facebook users as well as groups. We felt the best way to do this would be to create Amplify as a separate service from Clipmarks, but giving Clipmarks users the option to sync the two.

POPSCracked Software Found On Authentic Asus Recovery DVD One of the confidential Asus documents includes a PowerPoint presentation that details "major problems" identified by the company, including application compatibility issues. Personal files Our reader isn't the only one to discover strange files on Asus recovery discs. A US poster on the Asus forums reports finding files including CVs on his recovery disc - click here to see a screengrab of the files. A contributor to the forums at the Australian APC magazine also reports finding the same software cracker as our reader. An Asus spokesman has apologised to the customers who found the files. "We will be investigating this at quite a high level," he told PC Pro. "Once the investigation is complete, we will ensure it doesn't happen again." He was unable comment on how the files got on the disc.

POPSFree Speech A Casualty Of 'Hate' Powers
What had happened is that one of the chapters of Steyn's New York Times' (and for that matter Canadian) No1 bestseller America Alone had been excerpted and published by Canada's largest weekly magazine. The Canadian Islamic Congress, through the agency of three law students, brought complaints against Steyn and the magazine before the federal human rights commission, and also before two provincial ones. (That's another Orwellian aspect to all this; there is no rule against double, triple or any other multiple jeopardy, as there is no limit to how many complaints can be lodged before different tribunals for the same words.) Since then more has come out that makes these Canadian tribunals or commissions seem even more like kangaroo courts than they already did, which is saying an awful lot. The Canadian Human Rights Commission it would not go ahead with the Steyn prosecution (though the Canadian Islamic Congress has just indicated it will appeal that decision)

POPSFirefox Download @ 10? Sweet! To download, not to download? That be the question. I love my plugins and addons, and I'm sure that a number of them won't work right away with the new update. On the other hand, gotta be part of this new initiative for World Records, so downloading it is. Besides, FF3 is supposed to have MAD features.

POPSPersonal nuclear reactors? These things are hot! I'm still not sure if these things are real or not - I'm going to have to do a bit more research. If they are safe, economical, and at least environmentally justifiable, it could make for an interesting few decades.
