POPSConservatives Claim "Liberal Media."
A) We do not have a liberal media; it's a corporate controlled media. The lack of coverage of the fine speeches of the war protest groups this week at the RNC, for example, shows the media bias. There IS massive opposition the the war; the news just doesn't cover it. Claiming "liberal media," is propaganda. B)Though our American media does like to zoom in on the crotch of teenage girls who have sex that doesn't mean they are "liberal," but rather just a degenerate example of a decaying civilization that thinks this is "News." In fact, Obama (a so-called, 'liberal,') was Very Clear: "Leave familes out of our politics, esp. the children of candidates." Any parent knows that no matter what they do or say their kids might screw around or screw up. This IS the prevailing reaction of real people along with what Obama said. The Republicans are playing this up deliberately. it does show the flaw, though, of Palin's sex ed idea of teaching ONLY abstinence as sex ed.

My story about a young girl who got caught in a deadly relationship and couldn't get out till she was murdered needs to be heard. This story shows the pain and challenges that face every parent when something like this happens. I am the mother of a missing person. Never in my life did I think I would lose a child in this way -- someone that I gave birth to, someone that I loved, a daughter that any parent would be proud to have. I did everything I could to protect my children from the pain I saw in my family. Yet, it wasn’t enough. I believed if I raised the kids in a better neighborhood with great schools and was always there for them, they would never have to suffer what their parents endured. My husband cared about their happiness, and would give his life for each and every one of them. I never knew what that felt like as a child. I thought I could stop the cycle. Yet one day I awoke to find my daughter gone. I saw my daughter Becky going down a road that I knew could eventually

POPSShame on Apple - This is Censorship Plane and Simple I'm very surprised at this action by Apple. I know they want to have approval over what gets added to it's App Store, but banning content because they feel it's too obscene or graphic is absolutely censorship. A company like Apple that prides itself on "thinking different" should absolutely not be deciding what content is and is not appropriate for its users. I can't stand it when corporate America decides it's in the best position to determine what is and is not appropriate for people. If Apple is worried about kids accessing this content, what happened to the role of the parent? It should be a parent's job to determine what content their children access. Apple should not feel it needs to do this. I'm a HUGE Apple fan and am a big proponent and user of its products. However, this action will seriously lead me to reconsider my perspective and stop using and promoting Apple products.

Attorney General of PA has filed a lawsuit saying that the republicans are waiting to launch this same attack after his nomination, i.e. a justifiable legal objection he claims disqualifying Obama for President per the Constitution and the laws that applied at the time of his birth and early life. Berg argues that Barack Obama was born in Kenya in 1961 to an American woman, Stanley Ann Dunham, and a Kenyan man, Barack Hussein Obama Senior, as reportedly shown by a birth certificate from Mombasa Maternity Hospital. According to the law at that time, a parent could pass US citizenship on to a child born abroad if the parent was at least 19 years old. Obama's mother was only 18. No hospital birth certificate has been produced to show Obama was born in Hawaii, only a certificate of birth registry after the fact, which forensics experts have denounced as a forgery. Because you see, my family comes first, what kind of person would I be, if I gave my "time" to strangers, when "my family" are the one's needing my "time". I am not selfish and do not want anyone to suffer, I do what I can, for whom I can, whenever the need arises. I will continue to show my concern, and be of help. I will also continue to find the right people who believe that "together, "we can" make a difference in the world we live in".
