POPSPersonality Types in Cyberspace With a strong predilection towards disagreeing with people, their messages in email and discussion board groups often begin and are peppered throughout with words like "but" and "however." A more subtle oppositional message may start off with "well" or the namesake "yes but." Psychodynamic theory proposes that these people struggle with underlying feelings of hostility that can only be expressed passively or indirectly, via the act of disagreeing. They also may need to oppose others as a way to firm up their somewhat fragile identity or to boost self-esteem by proving themselves right and others mistaken. People with oppositional tendencies may be drawn to the intellectually contentious atmosphere of online discussion groups. That atmosphere, combined with the difficulties in establishing one's presence in a somewhat chaotic environment that lacks the identity-grounding cues of face-to-face contact, may also amplify oppositional tendencies.

POPSRugged individualism is always going to be a direct threat to sissy collectivism “sissy collectivism” The best description of modern liberalism I’ve heard. Bravo. Of course, you can always count on left-liberals to respond to criticism of any sort with vituperation. That’s required by their vision of themselves as intellectually and morally superior to benighted conservatives. But all things must pass, especially an inaccurate assessment of a peron's own intellect and character. YAY! liberalism YAY!!!!! Now, if only Bill Maher was here to counter this, life would be splendid. And please folks, leave your comments - they are welcome as always. No one is banned from commenting on what I post, unless you're spamming me with male enhancement products. I'm all set in that area.

POPSMother of teenager who killed herself over body image pleads She also criticised supermodel Kate Moss, who last month caused uproar by proclaiming "nothing tastes as good as skinny feels" - a mantra often used by people with eating disorders. 'That is definitely not going to help young people who are struggling to cope. They need proper guidance,' she said. In a heart-rending plea to other parents, she added: 'Cherish your children because you never know what they're going to do. 'Just be there for them, listen to them, and don't shrug them off when they really need to talk to you.'

POPSBackground Check “It is advised for a person to know the real name of a person before going on a date with the person and obtain a criminal check report on people that you are suspicious about.” Sounds a little paranoid but it might be a good idea after all.

POPSIs Doomsday Coming? And please don't be delusional enough to label this film "Al Qaeda Propaganda". It's a movie, not your paranoid version of "whatever" you can connect to terrorism.

POPSFort Hood 'ticking timebomb' shooter Major Abu Nidal remains in under armed guard and in a coma amid the FBI probe into the killing of 13 and the wounding of 31 at the US army base. On Sunday an ashen-faced and paranoid-looking ex-President Bush toured the camp, muttering incoherently and barking orders as if he was still in charge. General Colon Bowel is on a phishing trip somewhere near the Azores.

POPSNSA to store yottabytes of surveillance data in Utah megarepository There are a thousand gigabytes in a terabyte, a thousand terabytes in a petabyte, a thousand petabytes in an exabyte, a thousand exabytes in a zettabyte, and a thousand zettabytes in a yottabyte. In other words, a yottabyte is 1,000,000,000,000,000GB. Are you paranoid yet?

POPSObama’s Media Control Strategy The new plan: federal government would define a “new public square” with a “common space with shared facts.” The only reason I can see why the federal government wants to “define a new public square” is so it can have some control over the flow of information. Am I being too paranoid? If the internet is to remain a truly free-flow of information, we need to keep it free from any type of control. Sure, there will always be misinformation, but having multiple sources of info is the checks-and-balances system to identify that misinformation as bogus. This new system sounds suspiciously like the “new public square” is the “public option” for the media and this extreme makeover is not only for media but our system of government.

POPSWeblog Disclaimer Heretofore and unto now, a blogger hosted weblog has had to rely exclusively on the blanket disclaimer provided for the corporate body of blog*spot addresses. While this kind of disclaimer is usually sufficient to protect a blogger from liability, it falls short when dealing with inherently offensive content, websites with a mind of their own and authors who are excessively paranoid about being dragged into court. With the above firmly borne in mind, we propose this weblog disclaimer.

POPSMark Steyn: Obama a Tough Guy, at Least With Fox News I don't know why he'd be surprised. When a man has spent his entire adult life in the "community organized" precincts of Chicago, it should hardly be news that much of his Rolodex is made up of either loons or thugs. So when Communications Commissar Mao Ze Dunn starts berating Fox News for not getting into the same Maosketeer costumes as the rest of the press corps, you begin to see why the Chairman might appeal to her as a favorite "political philosopher". So the troika of Dunn, Emanuel and Axelrod were dispatched to the Sunday talk shows to lay down the law. We all know the lines from "The Untouchables" " "the Chicago way," don't bring a knife to a gunfight " and, given the pay czar's instant contract-gutting of executive compensation and the demonization of the health insurers and much else, it's easy to look on the 44th president as an old-style Cook County operator: You wanna do business in this town, you gotta do it through me.

POPSParisians ashamed of being from Paris The whole affair came to light when the French authorities decided to introduce new license plates that displayed the symbol of the country's departments, and not only the number of the department as previously. Moreover, the French can now choose any department they like- it does not have to be their actual place of residence. It soon turned out that the residents of Paris preferred to choose plates other than Parisian ones. As a result, the number of Parisian plates has declined by 60% since April 2009. The decline in license plates has also been reported in Hauts-de-Seine department near Paris. It is a place where the richest people in the country live. Also many residents of Seine-Saint-Denis, one of the poorest departments near Paris, have decided to hide their place of residence, as "bad address" often makes it difficult to get a good job.

POPSChris Matthews to Oath Keepers Founder, "Which scenario do you live in?" and the violation of rights that has happened in other countries in recent history.” Under the thin veil of questioning, Matthews used an array of crayons to color Rhodes as paranoid and delusional. The Left will never understand the military life, or their sense of duty and loyalty to America. To them, police will always be “pigs” and see our military as “baby-killers” and Mao as a great political leader. And yet, as long as we have honorable men and women willing to protect our Constitution and keep their oaths– The Wall will stay in ruins and our experiment in liberty will continue. Which scenario do you live in? Guardians of the Republic Honor Your Oath http://oath-keepers.blogspot.com/2009/03/oath-keepers-declaration-of-orders-we.html

POPSThe Glenn "Chicken Little" Beck chart 2. GLENN BECK → THE JOHN BIRCH SOCIETY: Beck interviewed Sam Antonio, a national spokesman for the John Birch Society, on the July 25, 2007, edition of his now-defunct CNN Headline News program. Leading off the interview, Beck said to Antonio: "I have to tell you, when I was growing up, the John Birch Society, I thought they were a bunch of nuts, however, you guys are starting to make more and more sense to me." Beck was discussing with Antonio the Security and Prosperity Partnership, an economic and security initiative of the United States, Canada, and Mexico that the John Birch Society believes is a vehicle "to stealthily merge the three North American nations."

POPSSuspension Lifted for 1st grader Finally a common sense decision. When i read about this yesterday it made my blood boil and i did email the school. More people should express their pinions, sometimes it helps. Not that they paid any attention at all to my rambling. But i did point out that schools have gone to far. IT'S one thing to protect our kids but common sense needs to be used as well. Otherwise the terrorists did accomplish their mission by placing this country in such a paranoid state we may as well have let the Nazi's win. "Do as we say and like it" is what i thought we we fighting against in Arab world and other countries. Point is never feel complacent and like anything you have to say don't matter. Maybe as single input it don't but when merged with hundreds of others people take notice. Speak up and fight for what you think is right otherwise we are no longer a free country. Rather led by the hand being told what and what not to do.

POPSPast "Terror Plots"--A Review of False Cases, Propaganda A timely reminder of previous "terror plots" that you heard announced, which turned out to be fanciful allegations. Watch the "plot to bomb Disneyland" and more examples. Then remember it was reported this week that "wedding" was an alleged code word for terror event there is also a reference to a “wedding,” which American agents believe is a code word for an attack. --just like in this film (7:45 minute mark)! Right, if you are paranoid or watch too much 24. This is the same FBI.

POPSChris Matthews - Dedicated Race Monger because after all no one would disagree with all this liberal idiocy because they thought that it would destroy the freedom and liberty this country has embodied for over 2 centuries.
