Hunt For 9.11 Killers Finds Trail In Pakistan
merrie
by merrie  11-1-2009    2
where his trail was just picked up by the Pakistan forces clearing out the hornet’s nest that is South Waziristan Agency: The suspected 9/11 plotter whose German passport was found in a mud hut in western Pakistan this week has not been in touch with his family for two years, his mother, Anneliese Bahaji, said in an telephone interview Friday. The Pakistani military said it found his German passport five days ago in a mud hut in the village of Sherwangai in South Waziristan, during a search operation. To me this is a good sign that Pakistan, US, NATO, Afghan forces are circling the last remnants of the al Qaeda brain trust and that we may finally get our hands on some long sought targets. Since being pushed out of Afghanistan, it has been my contention al Qaeda has been holed up in the tribal areas of Pakistan. This evidence, however, is a clear indication we may be marching to the big nest of bad guys. The violent responses in Pakistan to the military actions indicate we

Americans who are confused by the grotesque transformation of the modest aim of capturing a few bad men into a conflagration that has destroyed the lives of millions echo the Guardian of the 1920s, which asked why the British government had to send "all this machinery, all these forces...if we were establishing a political system on the basis of popular consent?" Without distinguishing between drones that protect our troops and those that drop bombs and hover menacingly over an occupied people, The Economist taunts, "like them or not, drones are here to stay." Now, who are the terrorists here and which is the rogue state ?

Bomber Strikes at Pakistan Air Force
ratilfar
by ratilfar  10-23-2009
On Thursday morning, a senior army officer, Brig. Moinuddin Haider, was assassinated by two gunmen who attacked his jeep during rush-hour traffic in Islamabad, the Pakistani capital. The Taliban had warned before the start of the campaign in South Waziristan that they planned to unleash attacks against Pakistan’s military assets. The Taliban attacked the headquarters of the Pakistani Army, in Rawalpindi, in a commando-style raid on October 10. The insurgents took more than 40 civilians and soldiers hostage for 20 hours, and more than 20 people were killed in the siege.

Iram and Mehwish are Pakibachiyan.blogspot.com readers from Lahore. They love Punjabi music and spicy foods. Both are working in reputable companies, after their jobs they can be often found in Food Street. Lahore is Pakistan’s true food centre. Lahorites have access not only to a large number of Pakistani dishes and Punjabi specialities, it has fast food restaurants, Western dishes, steak houses, pizzas, Japanese, Chinese, Lebanese, Afghani, Thai cooking and even Indian ‘Thali’ and ‘Dossas.’ They say we are food experts. They love Mughal-style Pakistani curries and Punjabi Barbecue and Karahis. In the curry category, the best choice is available at Village, Shezan Oriental, Bellpepper, Kabana, Paradise, Ziafat etc., where you can get reasonably good quality Curries, Biryanis, Nans etc. Dum Pukht (PC) serves some ‘Westernised’ curries. Most dishes are very expensive and lack the true Mughal curry taste. It seems the dishes are made for foreign customers. For the real

Defense Minister Requests More International Troops, Says Thousands Bolstering Taliban Insurgency (AP) Thousands of foreign fighters have poured into Afghanistan to bolster the Taliban insurgency, the country's defense minister said Saturday as he called for more international troops. The remarks come as the U.S. debates whether to substantially increase its forces in Afghanistan or to conduct a more limited campaign focused on targeting al Qaeda figures - most of whom are believed to be in neighboring Pakistan. An American and two Polish troops were killed by bombs in the latest violence reported by NATO forces. U.S. military officials said they could not immediately comment on the claim of a recent influx of foreign fighters. Afghanistan's interior minister, who also spoke to parliament, endorsed a strategy promoted by the top U.S. commander Gen. Stanley McChrystal to focus on protecting civilians rather than simply killing insurgents.

Just give us the money...
Gul Agha
by Gul Agha  10-6-2009    1
The thugs want the money but don't want to reform. These elites making noise are the ones who take bundles of American aid, eat the funds in corruption, still spout anti-American rhetoric, and support the Taliban while suppressing democracy and human rights of smaller nations like the Sindhis. Let's hope President Obama sticks to his guns and follows through with trying to enforce it. He may have to then finally give up this strategy and face the fact that he will not get honest cooperation out of Pakistan and its brutal, fanatic and dangerous military.

Mysterious Private Security Firm Gets Control Of Empty Jail In Small Montana Town
disenchantedcitizen
by disenchantedcitizen  10-4-2009    3
This is what happens when a town is desperate for money and they have no qualms about selling their soul to a renegade paramilitary force. APF plans to build a training facility “where law enforcement will get sniper training and learn "DNA analysis" skills”. APF refuses to divulge the source of the $30 million that will be used to fund this endeavor. According to their Blackwater-esque website http://www.americanpolicegroup.com/special.html they will be capable of providing training for all types of law enforcement organizations. It seems all those rumors of the ‘coming police state’ have just received another reason to ‘validate’ their fears. http://educate-yourself.org/nwo/nwocomingpoliceindex.shtml http://www.etherzone.com/2005/rose101705.shtml http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/171541-the-coming-police-state http://www.davidicke.com/content/view/26440

8 Troops Killed In Afghanistan; Remote Outposts Attacked
ratilfar
by ratilfar  10-4-2009
Nuristan, bordering Pakistan, was where a militant raid on another outpost in July 2008 claimed the lives of nine American soldiers and led to allegations of negligence by their senior commanders. Army Gen. David Petraeus last week ordered a new investigation into that fighting, in which some 200 militants armed with machine guns, rocket-propelled grenades and mortars pushed their way into the base, which is no longer operating. The region was key for Arab militants who battled alongside Afghan warriors during the 1980s U.S.-backed war against invading Russians because it is a rare place in South Asia where the Wahhabi sect of Islam is practiced – the same sect followed by Osama bin Laden and most Saudis.

Mysterious Private Security Firm Gets Control Of Empty Jail In Small Montana Town
merrie
by merrie  10-1-2009
Just what American Police Force plans to do with the detention facility, which comes with 50 acres of land in the small south-central Montana town, is unclear. Also not clear is who, if anyone, APF plans to put in the jail . The 10-year contract that is now awaiting final approval of lawyers gives APF the option of building a training facility, said Al Peterson, spokesman for the Hardin economic development authority. APF has said it plans to invest $30 million in the site, including $17M in the training facility, where law enforcement will get sniper training and learn "DNA analysis" skills. And where is American Police Force getting the money for this venture? Company spokeswoman Becky Shay -- until about a week ago the Billings Gazette reporter covering APF -- says they are no plans to answer that question. She did not respond to a request for comment. Al Qaeda Hemorrhoid Treatment
foxyarse
by foxyarse  9-30-2009
"Our first difficulty was convincing the patients to insert dynamite up their rectums. We overcame that problem by forming the explosive in the shape of a penis." explained Al Qaeda Proctologist, Dr. Cheeksfo Ofnuts. "Then we had the problem of the patients wanting to insert more than one suppository at a time." Despite early problems, the treatment held so much promise that trials continued with many terrorists making assholes of themselves in the process. The final straw came during field trials in Saudi Arabia when an Al Qaeda operative ripped himself a new one while trying to assassinate an anti-terrorist official there. "There will be no more trials,", exclaimed Doctor Ofnuts, " until such time that we can overcome the propensity of the patients to stick multiple phalluses up their behinds!"

White German al-Qaeda insurgents
foxyarse
by foxyarse  9-26-2009
According to German foreign ministry officials a growing number of German families, many of North African descent, have taken up the offer and travelled to Waziristan where supporters say converts make up some of the insurgents' most dedicated fighters. The Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan, which has a foothold in several German cities, has capitalised on growing concern over the rising profile of German forces in Afghanistan. Their role has become increasingly controversial in Germany in recent weeks after dozens of civilians were killed in an air strike ordered by German officers. Last night a foreign ministry spokesman told The Daily Telegraph they were now negotiating with Pakistani authorities for the release of six Germans, including "Adrian M", a white Muslim convert, his Eritrean wife and their four year old daughter, who were arrested as they were making their way to the "German village". They are particularly concerned about the welfare of the child.

Inter-Risk Company, US-Contracted Security Firm, Raided By Pakistani Police

The U.S. says there is no truth in the reports, but they have resonated with the many Pakistanis familiar with allegations that Blackwater employees were involved in unprovoked killings of Iraqi civilians. Police official Rana Akram said that two Inter-Risk employees were arrested and being questioned. He said authorities were also seeking the company's owner, a retired Pakistani army captain. Reporters were shown the weapons – 61 assault rifles and nine pistols – that were seized by dozens of police from the sites in pre-dawn raids in the capital, Islamabad.
