POPSBuild the strong online presence to protect your website against negative postings. SixChannels says building the strong online presence is key to fight against negative posters on any official websites. It can be done by creating identity or profiles on famous third party sites and promoting it using bookmarking technique and other online promotion techniques. By creating profiles in such sites we should make sure it will settled down after any company name key word whenever searched on search engines.

POPSWho needs Stored Procedures, anyways? (me!) Jeff Atwood revives the age-old debate. One thing I'll say is that I know I've grown smarter over the past two years because now at least I understand where the "no sprocs" crowd is coming from. But most of the "no sprocs" talk sooner or later steps into the "ORM" or "DDD" or "TDD" pitches. And in my mind at least, it gets a LOT more blurry at that point.

POPSSubSonic: Two Big Checkins This product just keeps getting better and better. If only I weren't tied to Oracle at my day job, I'd spend some serious time with this. I don't want to find another reason to hate Oracle :) And if I got used to using this tool, that would do it!

POPSThe Elements of Style - William Strunk, Jr. The entire 1918 edition — online, searchable, and beautifully laid out. This impeccably-written English usage book is as much fun to read for its lively tone and witty examples as it is for its timeless advice. Strunk approached grammar not as a rigid rule set to be followed, but as a craft to be mastered and enjoyed. It's no accident that "Strunk & White" (as the reference is now known) is still read, essentially unchanged, in classrooms and newsrooms to this day. Omit needless words. Vigorous writing is concise. A sentence should contain no unnecessary words, a paragraph no unnecessary sentences, for the same reason that a drawing should have no unnecessary lines and a machine no unnecessary parts. This requires not that the writer make all his sentences short, or that he avoid all detail and treat his subjects only in outline, but that every word tell. ( The Elements of Style . III. 13.)

POPSSubSonic 1.0.5 Released This thing is so nice, I might replace my DAL strategy with it. I'm stubborn, so I might end up grabbing the features I like instead, but... clearly this thing rocks.
