POPSHP Customer Careless and No Award Winning Service I have owned a number of HP products over the years, dating back to my first laser printer in 1993. Consequently, I have purchased other laser printers, both color and monochrome, recommended to business products made by HP. However, in July of this year, all that changed and I no longer will praise Hewlett Packard.

POPSMob by any other name You'll know which ones are mobs by their behaviour (or lack thereof). The presence of guns and other weapons is sure sign it's a mob, and not "concerned citizens".

POPSOne Little Star Fish For Health Care Reform
I just wrote to President Obama concerning the public option or lack thereof. I am so disappointed that this might be a possibility, especially after I have been breaking my neck trying to support the Health Care Reform Bill with a Public Option inclusion. I went for the Dem's bait of giving a dollar a day contribution to show the naysayers that we are united in this cause. It appears nothing is working for us pro-health care reformers and the teabagger/townhallers and the insurance lobbies are winning. Even Pres. Obama is caving on his promise to get it passed during his day in the sun. Did I say I was disappointed? That's an understatement. What I am feeling right now is total DISGUST. Below my letter to the Pres. (that and a $1. will get me a cup of coffee - only with a senior discount.) if you care to read my (one little star fish self) clamoring to no avail on this health care reform issue. POPSRepublican Logic (or lack thereof) Paying taxes (whether it be on merchandising products, or on the tea they bought) to protest taxes? Sure, why not. I hope they protest a whole lot more, and fill the government's coffers faster to reduce the deficit faster. Of course, what these sheep aren't understanding is that they're nothing like the Founding Fathers of the US. They stole the tea and dumped it, rather than pay taxes on it. Right-Wingers never seem to learn from history.

POPSDay Late and Dollar Short: Chris Matthews Shocked By NeoCon's Lies MATTHEWS: These people, they use anthrax. They will use—“The Weekly Standard” has reams of arguments why we should go to war. They won‘t quit, Pat. It is funny, but it‘s horrible. They would use any case to get us into a war with Iraq, and they did. And they won. They got us in. What about the charge that Saddam Hussein should have been fought, we had to go to war in Iraq because he bombed Oklahoma City? That is so close to fringe argument, Laurie Mylroie stuff, nutcase stuff, I should say. Gaffney was—was reaching... Because he is a good guy, but he was reaching for the crazy stuff. TRIPPI: They have been reaching since the beginning. That‘s the whole...(CROSSTALK) MATTHEWS: Oh, OK. I don‘t know where they—where they drink this stuff.

POPSWomen not fooled by Palin ploy There was certainly speculation that Obama needed to choose a woman - or one women in particular, Hillary Clinton. But the get-out-the-vote effort among those under 30 and women was so well honed that almost all of even the most disgruntled Clinton supporters were swayed by election day. It was the youth vote from the outset that marked this election as different. Every four years we hear of a politician who is firing up college students and first-time voters. But no one has been this successful. No one has reached out person-to-person as effectively. Even in solidly Republican states like South Carolina, Obama took the youth vote. Some of this is because Obama conducted a ridiculously youth-friendly campaign, using web-based social networking and text-messaging get out the vote.

POPSThe Presidential Candidates and The "Experience Issue"
The line McCain’s been using “He’s Not Ready to Lead” is still viable – and should emphasize a discussion of Obama’s policies, not his job history—his radicalism, not his resume. Meanwhile, we should invite comparisons of Governor Palin’s experience with Obama’s: won’t the PTA connect more with middle class voters than “community organizer,” and property tax-cutting small town mayor count more than slippery State Senator who voted “present” a disquieting proportion of the time. In any event, both tickets now balance experience with youthful energy – but McCain is balancing it the right way, with the experience at the top. If Obama supporters now see an opening for attack in regard to Sarah Palin’s “lack” of experience, they will only succeed in bringing back to scrutiny Obama’s own leadership (in)experience. Let’s see that “Tale of the Tape” chart that Curt linked to by Jeff Emanuel, http://www.floppingaces.net/2008/08/30/palin-not-the-most-inexperienced/
