POPSHealthcare 'Special' ABC Refuses Paid Ads That Oppose Obamacare It is unfortunate--and unusual--that ABC is refusing to accept paid advertising that would present an alternative viewpoint for the White House health care event. Health care is an issue that touches every American and all potential pieces of legislation have carried a price tag in excess of $1 trillion of taxpayers' money. The American people deserve a healthy, robust debate on this issue and ABC's decision--as of now--to exclude even paid advertisements that present an alternative view does a disservice to the public. Our organization is more than willing to purchase ad time on ABC to present an alternative viewpoint and our hope is that ABC will reconsider having such viewpoints be part of this crucial debate for the American people. We were surprised to hear that paid advertisements would not be accepted when we inquired and we would certainly be open to purchasing time if ABC would reconsider.

POPSClipmarks encourages censorship? I thought I might share some tidbits I have learned about censorship here on Clipmarks. Many of know (or maybe not) that you can 'block' comments by other clip users on your clipmarks. While this may be a tool, it appears it only supports those who would mis-use it. Anyone with an opposing opinion can be silenced if the clipper doesnt want others to see anyones comments but those they agree with. I'm ashamed of Clipmarks for allowing this 'tool' to be so easily misused, without any administrative or moderator based decision. So much for the open exchange of free thought and viewpoints.

POPSSpecialDoctrine is Not FairnessDoctrine Even aside from forcing content on a public which repeatedly rejects it, this "fairness" doctrine would probably regard the basic network "news" broadcasts, or PBS as neutral ,and not requiring equal time from opposing views. Communists,anti-American groups,anti-free press and anti-free market forces complain they don't have equal media voice. They've been expressing this through socialist and liberal media outlets and guest appearances on conservative talk shows.Hmmm. Know who is behind this dictatorial push for muffling of the press. On the other hand, printers of crucial national security information ought to be held in contempt or reveal the treasonous individuals.
