POPSWhite House forged Iraq war documents Cont... "Over the next few days, the Habbush letter continued to be featured prominently in the United States and across the globe," Suskind writes. "Fox's Bill O'Reilly trumpeted the story Sunday night on 'The O'Reilly Factor,' talking breathlessly about details of the story and exhorting, 'Now, if this is true, that blows the lid off al Qaeda—Saddam.'"

POPSNancy Pelosi vs. Rush Limbaugh Compare the inept inactivity of Nancy Pelosi on this gas crisis with the informed activity of conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh. Rush is politically savvy; Pelosi is politically cunning. Rush confronts government gridlock; Pelosi creates it. Rush gives solutions; Pelosi ground-n-pounds them. Rush says to drill here and drill now; Pelosi says not to drill now or later. Rush motivates Americans to action; Pelosi paralyzes the House to inaction. I would bet Rush has had more positive influence on Congress through the years by his broadcasts than Pelosi ever will from her House throne. He is a leader among that league of extraordinary gentlemen and conservative cultural crusaders -- such as Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilly, Dick Morris, Newt Gingrich, Ann Coulter, John Kasich and Frank Pastore, to name a few. I pray that we ultimately inspire a new generation of patriots with a fire like Patrick Henry had rather than what Nancy Pelosi has.

POPSO'Reilly is Just So....Funny! I never had seen this until someone posted it on youtube the other day. I don't watch Bill very much, once in a while I catch his shows and find him to be seriously funny, yet somehow also think he is sad and pathetic, since he seems to actually BELIEVE the crap he is saying. But here he is in yet another humorous yet pitiful moment! Enjoy!

POPSWhite House used FoxNews to shape public opinion Hannity, O'Reilly implicated. "Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow point out that in the US, the government is forbidden to propagandize the public. Fox Cable News head Roger Ailes (a former Republican Party official) and other high executives routinely sent memos to the newsrooms instructing them to spin stories in particular ways"

POPS3 Myths About Offshore Drilling "Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) claimed "not a drop of oil was spilled during Katrina or Rita." This myth has been told again and again by the likes ofGov. Bobby Jindal (R-LA), Interior Secretary Dirk Kempthorne, Mike Huckabee, George Will, and Bill O'Reilly. There were, in fact, major onshore and offshore spills due to the hurricanes."

POPSCNN vs FOX News Ratings in Prime Time Ok, maybe, just maybe with this many people watching FOX the majority of the voting public may actually have a balanced view of the 2 candidates, without the Mainstream Media bias. I can hope can't I ??

POPSNew Program Aids Homeless Vets, But Not Nearly Enough The shelter that housed the two homeless Vets, called "Soldier On", was mentioned in an article from the Boston Herald today. Veterans in the Boston area and across the nation are getting some much needed assistance in securing their own rental homes, thanks to a new federal program. Last week, housing authorities from Boston to Northampton began issuing 245 rental assistance vouchers to chronically homeless veterans. In the Boston area, 1,950 former service members are considered homeless. "With the new number of homeless vets that we are creating because of Iraq and Afghanistan, this is focusing on their needs," said U.S. Rep. Michael Capuano (D-Somerville), who will make a formal announcement Tuesday

POPSElemental extinction? With Intel churning out a billion transistors on a chip, it's no wonder that hafnium is becoming more scarce. Fascinating idea. Wonder if it will incite a lobbying effort? thx to Tim O'Reilly for original pointer.

POPSHow Tattoos Work The tattoo machine has remained relatively unchanged since its invention by Samuel O'Reilly in the late 1800s. O'Reilly based his design on the autographic printer, an engraving machine invented by Thomas Edison. Edison created the printer to engrave hard surfaces. O’Reilly modified Edison’s machine by changing the tube system and modifying its rotary-driven electromagnetic oscillating unit to enable the machine to drive the needle.

POPSDept. of You Can't Make this $%&! Up! Presents: Karl Rove I mean really, of all the people to say something like this, Karl Rove? And please spare me the "Armitage said it first!" bull. Just because somebody commits a crime does not open the way for others. Armitage cooperated with investigators, Rove and Libby obstructed justice.
