POPSIraq To Build Massive Mosque On Top Of The Tomb of Ezekiel Similar confirmation comes from Professor Shmuel Moreh, Israel Prize Laureate in Arabic Literature and Professor Emeritus at Hebrew University of Jerusalem, who says that he is aware that the Hebrew inscriptions have been erased and that the plans for the new mosque are well underway. Ezekiel, whose prophecies included the Valley of the Dry Bones and the return of the Jews to Israel, lived in the sixth century B.C., having accompanied the exiled Judeans to Babylon. Throughout the centuries, thousands of pilgrims visited the site of his tomb annually before Iraqi Jewry came to an abrupt end in 1979 with the rise of the Islamic Revolution. Though well over 100,000 Jews lived in Iraq, this number has been decimated to no more than eight, Professor Moreh said. “There are others,” he added, “but they barely know that they are Jews; in many cases, their parents did not tell them.”

POPSTucked AWAY- Out of sight......lurks "CLASS" Just one of NUMEROUS "SURPRISES" within the Health Care bill............ While Washington would start collecting CLASS premiums in 2011, CLASS would not pay benefits for five years. So, because it charges for 10 years but only pays out in five, CLASS appears to be a deficit-cutter in the health care bill's 10-year budget window. Paul Van de Water, a senior fellow for the left-leaning Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, which supports CLASS, noted that the five-year waiting period will keep people from enrolling for immediate benefits. Besides, because Congress is "very sensitive" to the criticism that it used CLASS to keep the health care bill from adding to the deficit over 10 years, Van de Water told me, both houses passed bills that balance without the CLASS windfall.

POPSPQ | Alan Binder "You can't hammer a nail over the Internet." -- Alan Binder ___ LISTEN to this story | http://npr.org.twi.bz/V ___ MATTHEW CRAWFORD | A philosopher / mechanic destroys the pretensions of the high-prestige workplace and makes an irresistible case for working with one’s hands. Shop Class as Soulcraft brings alive an experience that was once quite common, but now seems to be receding from society: making and fixing things. Those of us who sit in an office often feel a lack of connection to the material world, a sense of loss, and find it difficult to say exactly what we do all day. For anyone who felt hustled off to college, then to the cubicle, against their own inclinations and natural bents, Shop Class as Soulcraft seeks to restore the honor of the manual trades as a life worth choosing. ___ http://www.matthewbcrawford.com/ ___ http://altacities.com

It took a team of 47 international scientists approximately 15 years to piece together her fragile remains in order to reveal her significance. Some of the questions answered by studying Ardi include how hominids became bipedal (walk on two feet) and revealing the first evolutionary steps taken by our ancestors after humans diverged from a common ancestor we once shared with chimpanzees http://dsc.discovery.com/tv/ardipithecus/ardipithecus.html

POPSMoa Tse Tung & Obama Mt Rushmore Christmas Ornaments At White House ~ WTF! Oh, once again the Obama’s were unaware. Do these people pay attention to anything other than their own ego? Why let a holiday season come between the White House and making some political statements? The White House pegged controversial designer Simon Doonan to oversee the Christmas decorations for the White House. Mr. Doonan, who is creative director of Barney’s New York has often caused a stir with his design choices. Like his naughty yuletide window display of Margaret Thatcher as a dowdy dominatrix and Dan Quayle as a ventriloquist’s dummy. For this year’s White House, he didn’t disappoint. POPSStatement by the National Right to Life Committee On The New Reid "manager's amendment" to H.R. 3590
This seems to envision a system under which the OPM director would administer multi-state plans that cover elective abortions, and perhaps even possess authority to require such plans to cover elective abortions, as long as the director also ensured that there was one plan that did not cover abortions (except types of abortions also funded by the federal Medicaid program). This would be a sharp break from the policy that has long governed the Federal Employees Health Benefits program, which is also a program administered by OPM, under which private plans are completely prohibited from covering elective abortions if they wish to participate in the program. The Reid manager's amendment contains a new section providing that a state "may elect to prohibit abortion coverage in qualified health plans offered through an Exchange in such State if such State enacts a law to provide for such prohibition.

POPSLORD MONCKTON NAMES NAMES ON CLIMATEGATE: DEBUNKS CLIMATE FEARS Full article here... http://www.myfreedompost.com/2009/12/lord-monckton-names-names-on.html The video was shot at Berlin's Melia Hotel on Friday, December 4th during a climate conferece co-sponsored by CFACT and several European think tanks. The conference included top scientists and experts, including Fred Singer, Nils Axel Mörner, Horst-Joachim Luedecke, and Henrik Svensmark. “These scientists whom Lord Monckton exposes using tricks in place of science are no bit players,” Rucker said, “these are founding fathers of global warming and their credibility now lies in tatters. Sound science requires no sleight of hand. They have left their entire global warming argument more suspect than ever.”
