Republicans Need to Dump the Neoconservatives
blueridge
by blueridge  11-3-2009    1
The republicans need a "tea party" within their own camp! The Bush and present GOP "conservatives" are pushing big government Statism as much as Democrats, with only a different slant. Wars for democracy are a key element of both parties now. There is an insidious philosophy underlying this acceptance of the "natural" growth of statism. Neoconservative columnist David Brooks wrote ... we need "a vigorous One Nation Conservatism ... by making the nation great, individuals are able to join their narrow concerns to a larger national project." Actually, it was originally the Democrats that used to believe in curtailing the powers of the Federal government. (This was after the Civil War where they were called Dixie-crats). Gaffney Tells Reagan "Your Father Would Be Ashamed Of You" (VIDEO)
ratilfar
by ratilfar  10-23-2009    1
In June, Gaffney wrote a column insisting that President Obama might really be a Muslim. In March, Gaffney argued that "evidence" exists connecting Saddam Hussein to 9/11, the 1993 attack on the World Trade Center, and the Oklahoma City bombing. Last September, Gaffney argued that Sarah Palin has learned foreign policy through "osmosis," by living in Alaska. He's argued that U.S. forces really did find weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, but the media covered it up. He's used made-up quotes and recommended "hanging" Democratic officials critical of the Bush administration's Iraq policy. He even believes there's "evidence" to support the "Birthers," and once recommended a military strike on Al Jazeera headquarters. ------ In other words a man with no shame invokes the specter of another man dead father to attack him. Classy!

What's with all the zombies?
ratilfar
by ratilfar  10-10-2009
Call me a zombie pundit, but I agree with "World War Z" author Max Brooks' suggestion that the concurrent rise of zombie pop and political cultures is no coincidence. "Zombies are an apocalyptic threat, we are living in times of apocalyptic anxiety (and) we need a vessel in which to coalesce those anxieties," he says. In fact, I'll go out on a severed limb and take it further: If zombies specifically represent the apocalyptic downsides of immortalized mindlessness, then today’s zombie zeitgeist is not merely a result of scary quandaries created by stupidity. It is a reaction to both those problems and the sense that they can never be thwarted. Here we are, a year after a financial implosion that should have driven a stake in the heart of free market fundamentalism. Here we are, a year after an election that was supposed to pour holy water on Wall Street vampires, exorcise the economy's demons and challenge the ancient mummies of neoconservative foreign policy. Yet here we are,

Germany Hit With "al-Qaida" Pre-election Propaganda
blueridge
by blueridge  9-22-2009    2
Watch for a false-flag event in Germany if Merkel loses ( remember Spain's 3-11 here for backing out of Iraq), which this propaganda is actually designed to help by inciting fear of terrorism and pushing necessary war , by manufacturing an Islamist enemy (beardless youth in suit and tie for the first time) with a domestic terrorism threat in a timely presentation-- all pushed by the government and media , instead of censored! Just who does this propaganda benefit the most? In fact, the "powers that be" do want people to remember Madrid's 3/11, "vote for Merkel, or else". Note the issue is AFGHANISTAN, German people now largely opposing their war presence there (just as a majority in the U.S. and UK does). This is typical FEAR propaganda that always preceded Bush and Congressional elections, allegedly from Bin Laden or Al Qaeda, but always stoking war fever for the neoconservative-Israeli agenda.

Well documented article worth reading entirely. Then there is this article too : That must be the meaning of change. The goal was not to restore the rule of law and constitutional legitimacy, but to transcend the Bush administration's cowboy unilateralism and tactfully reassert a neo-conservative normalcy in America's foreign policy. And this more recent article: ‘No change from Bush to Obama', say Neocons and Liberals 16 Sep 2009 American foreign policy under Barack Obama has not changed course after the Bush years, according to a group of prominent commentators from both sides of the political divide. (except for the breaking missile shield policy)...from a UK media source. Yet the U.S. Media are absolutely silent.

Conservative Op-ed: "Time to Get Out of Afghanistan", Propaganda War Starts

Note there is a neoconservative (William Kristol) reply to this op-ed below the article at source (because it scares them, really), which also proves that Obama has continued the neoconservative agenda in this "war on terrorism", whether that term is used or not. (Miraculously again, Bin Laden allegedly made a new video or post, which the MSM and Drudge also made sure you saw, while they did not link to this Op-ed of a well known conservative columnist). Conservative policy writers at Cato Institute are also calling for an end by exposing Myths about Afghanistan (here) . Obama's Pseudo-Science Czar
merrie
by merrie  7-21-2009    1
I’m willing to accept that Jones may have changed his political tune somewhat. After all, Ronald Reagan was firmly on the left before he started shifting towards the right, and the term “neoconservative,” before the term became an Anti-Semitic code word among both the far left and right, was originally used to describe formerly left-leaning political and social scientists who found that following the facts led them away from socialism and modern liberalism. Still, even if he has begrudgingly admitted the realities of the free market, Jones not only continues to deploy socialist rhetoric, but embraces some decidedly specious ideas. Jones’s Wikipedia entry notes that he is a fellow of the Institute of Noetic Sciences. Founded by astronaut-turned-parapsychologist Edgar Mitchell, the Institute declares itself in mission statement to be “a nonprofit membership organization located in Northern California that conducts and sponsors leading-edge research into the potentials and

New Memo: Bush-Blair Conspired to Start Iraq War Without WMD Motive
blueridge

Hard proof that WMD was not Bush's or Blair's real reason to start war with Iraq. Not mentioned behind the Bush-Blair Anglo-American conspiracy to invade Iraq, is that neoconservative and Israeli elements who fomented the plan based upon their convenient "catalyzing event, like a new Pearl Harbor" (from their blueprint written in Sept. 2000, one year before 9/11). Yes, it still matters now, because of those who say that "Bush did not lie, he was mistaken about WMD", which this hard evidence entirely destroys.

Iran Elections and "Green Revolution", US Involvement
blueridge
by blueridge  6-22-2009    1
Paul Craig Roberts, former Reagan Treasury official, goes on to unmask a neocon source about the election controversy: For example, neoconservative Kenneth Timmerman wrote the day before the election that “there’s talk of a ‘green revolution’ in Tehran.” How would Timmerman know that unless it was an orchestrated plan? Why would there be a ‘green revolution’ prepared prior to the vote, especially if Mousavi and his supporters were as confident of victory as they claim? This looks like definite evidence that the US is involved in the election protests.

Mark Levin Believes in "Unitary Executive", Not True Constitutionalist!
blueridge
by blueridge  3-24-2009    1
It is plain to see that Mark Levin is being sprung on Republicans as if he is a "true conservative" and "original constitutionalist", yet he believes and supports fully what the Founders feared most--a "Unitary Executive" President, like George W. Bush Look at the gap in Levin's bio, between his graduation from Temple and IMMEDIATE involvement as "adviser to Reagan cabinet members" (i.e. no official post), which is being used to launch his political career. Now Sean Hannity calls this untried person who merely wrote a book (all his own thoughts?) as "The Great One". His book, meanwhile, subtitled "a Conservative Manifesto", smacks of an earlier popular release by Ron Paul called Revolution, A Manifesto , which is closer to pure Constitutionalist views of the Founders (who was wildly popular and still is as an advocate) than Levin's crafty piece. Levin is a neoconservative!

"U.S. Shoots Down Iranian Drone"--Truth or Propaganda?
blueridge

Let's debunk this "news" piece before it is swallowed whole: 1. This spurious article merely states something from "u.s. military sources in Baghdad", yet it was "previously unreported", until now. 2. The article has no weight but allegation, it merely launches into quotes from Globalsecurity.org, a neoconservative propaganda front, with "facts" about Iran's UAVs from way back--i.e. fanning the flames with old data. 3. Globalsecurity.org is not reporting this! 4. The only MSM news reporting this is guess who? Yep, FOX. The rest of the MSM is not biting, yet 5. The article on Danger Room is written by Noah Shachtman, whose name suggests he might be a bit jaded 6. In apparent reaction to skepticism, his "update" says that "no one can confirm" this, so "or deny" means little 7. This likely could not have been kept secret for a whole month if true, due to its nature

I saw this clip the other night on “D.L. Hughley Breaks the News" Late Night Show. His guest was Frank Schaeffer and although, I have never heard of this man before, what he had to say was so coherent and sane, I had to search youtube to see if anyone had copied this segment of Hughley's show and posted it to youtube. Sure enough, the video was not hard to find. If you would like an extra breath of sanity, please listen to Schaeffer's opinion on why our beautiful nation is suffering so, after the insane takeover by the Right Wing Nut zealots and neoconservative war mongers. Why would anyone want to be associated with these groups is beyond all that is rational. If I were a sound of mind conservative, I would distance myself and my beliefs as far away from these crazy, Rush Limbaugh "DITOHEADS" (Note, spell check gives the word "DICKHEADS") as I could get. Obama's Afghan/Paki Surge, Civilians Will Suffer Most
blueridge
by blueridge  2-18-2009
But the politically-correct premise of the entire war there is left unchallenged by the Democrats, and of course Republicans, except for a few lone voices. The heaviest consequences will fall on the civilian population , who will be increasingly opposed in turn against the US-led foreign invading forces increasing resistance who are the real "insurgents" involved in a domestic dispute that is of a very long history. Apparently the 1 million deaths of Iraqi civilians is not enough blood for the bipartisan war-mongers who have bought the neoconservative line of wars for "regime change" , nor the hidden death count of Afghans and Pakis thus far (with women and children). Do Americans really believe that the Taliban is a real or imminent threat to the U.S.? (And no, they publicly admitted on BBC, as well as Bin Laden in Karachi newspaper, that they had no knowledge or involvement in Sept. 11th).

He knows the difference between right and wrong; he just doesn't care. Grandiose to the point of having a godlike opinion of himself and self-centered to the point of being self-obsessed, Dick's a great example of a complete monster and a total waste of otherwise useful oxygen. In other words, he's a typical neoconservative.

Obama Defends CIA Pick to Dems, Neocons Praise
blueridge
by blueridge  1-7-2009
And just why are the neocons like Feith (who ran the rogue Office of Special Plans) and Richard Perle praising him as bringing a good pick to "reform" the CIA? Well they crafted the "intelligence" for the Iraq war with lies and circumvented the CIA (and Tenet got a Medal of Freedom Award from Bush for not challenging their unsubstantiated lies about WMD). They want the CIA to do this for them instead to justify their war agenda for "regime change" in the middle east primarily. Just who is praising Obama for this pick is more strong evidence (along with his silent support for Israel's war on Gaza, surge in Afghanistan, etc) that he will continue the neoconservative agenda, only in a "kinder and gentler" manner, in their plan for "global hegemony" for world democracy through "regime change". Not much change here. Panetta has no hard Intel experience.

US Intelligence Releases 'Trends 2025 Report'

World government and "decline of democracy". Actually, if one looks at the "think tanks" who comprised this (and released by National Intel headed by McConnell, who is a neoconservative), it is THEIR BLUEPRINT, not a projecting of what might happen, thus a self-fulfilling prediction. Obama is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, one of the key think tanks involved in this report and the American Enterprise Institute is stacked with militant Zionists and neoconservatives too. The Atlantic Council is a world government organization, with ties back to Clarence K. Streit who published the blueprint for a PAX AMERICANA or World Federation of Democracies in 1941. They point to possible nuclear war between Pakistan and India (being sparked by Mambia now) and a Pandemic where tens to hundreds of millions of Americans within the US Homeland would become ill and deaths would mount into the tens of millions,”

A portrait of Israel's Occupation and blockade of Palestinians on their own land. Meanwhile international press is still forbidden to enter Gaza to tell the story of this program of mass harassment and even murder. Gaza is under siege and Palestinians abused and killed (slowly) but you will not hear anything about an "Operation Palestinian Freedom" (as Iraq war was labeled) from the U.S. or talk of invading Israel to stop the carnage. Proposals like that just do not fit the Zionist neoconservative agenda or that of Obama's foreign policy advisers or his appointments, like Rahm Emanuel, Robert Gates, or Hillary Clinton--all AIPAC approved. By definition of the Zionists the Palestinians must be terrorists and Israel is a poor abused victim "acting in self defense", by making war on average Palestinian citizens. Racial elimination by programs of mass starvation and deprivation of necessities is nothing less than genocide. Who will "change" this!
