POPSUrban Slang - What Does BSTL Mean? BSTL or "Bam Said the Lady" is a phrase first coined by Canadian actor Nathan Fillion. Mr. Fillion first said the phrase on his TV series "Castle" during the episode titled, "A Chill Goes Through Her Veins", and since used it on the online computer game "Halo 3" - but what does it mean and why does it exist?

POPSBam Said the Lady - BSTL An acronym for Bam Said The Lady. A phrase made popular by Canadian actor Nathan Fillion (of such cult hits as Firefly, Serenity, and currently Castle), used as an expression of enthusiasm and/or finality. A reminder to Negative Nancys out there- keep it positive. It's insecure to think you have to be mean to be funny. Mean = blocked. BSTL. After hearing all your secrets, I feel we're all a little closer. Mine? The Incredibles was the best movie ever made. Ever. Made. BSTL.

POPSHaving too much fun with Joss Whedon's Firefly I'd be lying if I did't say this but I've been having too much fun lately getting hooked up on Joss Whedon's cult classic, short lived 2002 'Firefly', all on Hulu.com. This show (just like his current Dollhouse) is one addictive mind candy! And watching it for the very first time is like someone watching Matrix for the first time. I mean, it's a once-in-a-lifetime type of experience, ain't it? I am really sorry if you're not in United States and Hulu doesn't work for you.

POPS"Drive" to be Twittered I haven't "twittered" myself as of yet, but the idea of a live commentary during the premiere of this new show "Drive", starring Nathan Fillion, sounds like an excellent way to use this service.

POPSWhedon Win! Go Joss, go! At last the truth is known! Ok, ok, so I'm actually not that foaming a Whedon fan, in truth, and Star Wars is and will ever be my first love (child of the 70's me), but this has got to be the most telling zeitgeist temperature indicator in a decade - criminals are cooler than Jedi...
