POPSIn Defense of Distraction Probably the best article you will read on the subject of internet, the infoflow and attention, superb writing, and of course I totally agree with the last lines, but you will have to read all of it and reach the zen state brought to you courtesy of over-stimulation

POPS'Memory pill' could be available soon "The reality is we're not always at our best. After being up at night looking after the kids or travelling, many people would love to have something to sharpen them up. It's not taboo to drink Red Bull. The principle with cognition enhancers is not so different."

POPSWho doesn't need more brain power! Does that mean that in near future we would be having doping tests before exams to filter out those students who have taken these drugs to take (illegal?) edge over those who have not?

POPSSleep-Replacing Drug On Horizon When (not if ) Orexin A comes to market, sales should make big pharma leap with joy. Along with the rapid increase in sales of blood pressure meds, cholesterol-lowering drugs, etc.. The Dog will eat its Tail.

POPSIncrease Serotonin Levels With 5HTP This is a great supplement that I recommend a lot. As with pretty much every substance, it doesn't work for everyone. But I've known a lot of people who have done well with it. It's certainly cheaper than prescription drugs.

POPSSmokable Pain Drugs Promise Faster Action I suffer severe migraines at least 2-4 times daily due to a cyst on a my brain that is inoperable. Because the only way to remove it is with chemo and/or radiation, the doctors want to leave it since it is benign, unless of course it grows. Unfortunately, for me that means continual migraines and narcolepsy symptoms that are out of my control and fighting my insurance company for getting them to pay my migraine meds because they feel I'm on too many. I agree, but what can I do really? Double unfortunately, the side effect of the narcolepsy meds are, guess what, more migraines. Hopefully some day they'll find a cure for migraines as they can be very debilitating for some people.
