POPSControversial Sheik in chains outside court Pity the law process is taking so long with this unbalanced person. Time to go where his efforts will be appreciated. He must be such an embarrassment to religious, rather than political, Muslims

POPS'The Axis of Idiots' - note from a Retired Marine You want to run from Iraq and abandon the Iraqis to murderers just as you did to the Vietnamese. Iraq, like Vietnam, is another war that you were for, before you were against it. John Murtha, you said our military was broken. You said we can't win militarily in Iraq. You accused United States Marines of cold-blooded murder without proof and said we should redeploy to Okinawa. Okinawa, John? And the Democrats call you their military expert! Are you sure you didn't suffer a traumatic brain injury while you were off building your war hero resume? You're a sad, pitiable, corrupt and washed up politician. You're not a Marine, sir. You wouldn't amount to a good pimple on a real Marine's butt. You're a phony and a disgrace. Run away, John.

POPSThe terrorists at Club Gitmo don't want to leave Obvious. What else more could they want? They have personal chefs, TVs, remote controls, beach volleyball, a library overlooking the ocean, scenic views, free laundry service, new prayer rugs to pray to Allah.....and they're getting the H1N1 vaccine before you. The libs want them out of Cuban Clown College as long as they're nowhere near their Manhattan penthouses or vacation spots in the Vineyard. As if splashing water on their damn faces is going to scare them off.....PUH-LEASE. Gitmo should be rebranded so that liberals wouldn’t reflexively scream “TORTURE!” every time they heard it’s name. How about "Misfired Martyrs Motel" or "Viva la Incarceracion!"?

POPSDetainees at Club Gitmo Getting H1N1 Vaccine Before You Well, why the hell not.....they already have personal chefs, cable TV and free movies. I'm sure that between prayer time on their new prayer rugs and beach volleyball tournaments they can manage to fit the vaccinations into their grueling schedules. How about we send the liberals down there to administer the H1N1 personally since they already have such high regard for those murdering terrorists.....

POPSOlbermanic Stuck In The Jaws of Coulter The Bush campaign commercial about Dukakis' furlough program never showed a picture of Horton. In fact, the actors playing "criminals" passing through a revolving door in the ad were all white. -- Voters considered it relevant that a candidate for president was so beholden to the ACLU that he backed an idiotic furlough program that released first-degree murderers. And yet in Keith Olbermann's discussion of Bush's allegedly vile, racist use of Willie Horton, he used a phony version of the ad, doctored to include a photo of Horton. in fairness to Keith, he's never been a "content guy." He was a communications major. (The agriculture school Keith attended offered a degree in this field.) He lifts the material for his show from liberal blogs, overwrites it, and throws in his trademark smirking and snorts. But that's all he does because, again, he was a communications major.

POPS"The Family" - Fundamentalism, Friends In High Places Headquartered in Washington, D.C. at a place known as the "C Street Center" or "Fellowship House," this 1890 townhouse, located behind the Madison Annex of the Library of Congress and near the United States Capitol, has 12 bedrooms, nine bathrooms, five living rooms, four dining rooms, three offices, a kitchen, and a small "chapel". The property is exempt from real property taxes because it is classified as a "special purpose" use. District of Columbia law exempts from taxation "buildings belonging to religious corporations or societies primarily and regularly used for religious worship, study, training, and missionary activities" and "buildings belonging to organizations which are charged with the administration, coordination, or unification of activities, locally or otherwise, of institutions or organizations entitled to exemption."

POPSPolanski, rape, and the myth of "Not Like Us" More: Rapists don’t tip the homeless guy, because they have some spare change from Starbucks. Rapists don’t survive the Holocaust. Rapists don’t sit in the cubicle across from us at work, and send us funny xkcd cartoons. Rapists don’t have uneventful, long-term relationships with their college girlfriends. Rapists don’t show up on set every day, directing a critically-acclaimed movie. Rapists don’t get married, nervous in a tux at the end of the aisle. Rapists don’t spend their weekends browsing at the farmer’s market, and then stop for brunch and do the NYT crossword. Rapists don’t co-write this screenplay with us. Rapists don’t hang out at the pub with their friends, watching football and drinking just half a pint of beer, because they’re driving.… We tell these myths to ourselves and each other often, but of course, they are lies. A rapist is nothing but a man who doesn’t listen when you say stop.

POPSFlorida Care-Giver System Plagued With Felons
12 registered sex offenders and 200 people with histories of harming children. Exemptions are supposed to be granted only with proof of rehabilitation. But about 1,800 of the people approved " or one in five " went on to be arrested again, some within days of the state's determination that they could be trusted to care for vulnerable residents. "It's totally unacceptable. Obviously, this has become a huge loophole that needs to be closed," said Nan Rich, D-Weston, vice chairwoman of the Florida Senate's Children, Families and Elder Affairs committee. A sex abuse scandal at a Miami day care in the mid 1980s prompted the first of several state laws requiring background checks for caregivers and allowing for exemptions. Florida now has a patchwork system with glaring inconsistencies. Employees at day cares and facilities for the disabled undergo a nationwide criminal check. But caregivers for the elderly are checked only for offenses in Florida, with some exceptions.

POPSCebu Prison (Cebu Province, Philippines) — Jailhouse Rock Nothing says entertainment quite like murderers, drug dealers and sex offenders dancing to pop music in unison. It's what makes "So You Think You Can Dance" so popular, and it's the only reason we know anything about Cebu prison in the Philippines.

POPSBetraying Our Dead Defending America, By the Numbers: 8 years: The amount of time the Clinton administration had to get Osama bin Laden 8 months: The amount of time the Bush administration had to get Osama bin Laden leading up to 9/11 2 Times: The increase in the number of border agents, as well as funding for border security during Bush's presidency. 6 million+: The number of people attempting to enter the U.S. illegally who had been apprehended and sent home during Bush's presidency Zero: The number of attacks on American soil since 9/11. What party really has our best interest in mind when it comes to keeping the citizens of this country safe?

POPSObama and the 9/11 murderers Intellectuals in the West joined the blame America chorus. Italian Nobel laureate Daria Fo: "The great speculators wallow in an economy that every year kills tens of millions of people with poverty - so what is 20,000 dead in New York?" How sick is that? The Egyptian newspaper Al-Maydan editorialized: "Millions across the world shouted in joy: America has been hit!" I'm not making this stuff up.

POPSA grief like no other: listening to the families of murder victims More: The increase in the U.S. murder rate has been accompanied over the past few decades by a rising incidence of crimes once considered rare. Mass murders, serial murders, and murders committed by strangers have become more commonplace.… Since 1966 hundreds of books have been published that follow murderers along their paths of destruction… And yet just a handful of books have looked at murder from the victim's perspective.… During the past twenty-five years hundreds of articles in psychiatric journals have examined the homicidal mind. Fewer than a dozen have explored how a homicide affects the victim's family. In a study of murder in Romantic literature the theater scholar Laurence Senelick used a phrase, "the prestige of evil," that goes a long way toward explaining why our culture has become obsessed with the murderer while ignoring the victim.

POPSOutcome of the Social experiment that did not work Here is another woman who has the right to bare children, but not the morality to raise them. One must feel for her other children, but why the lunatic liberals can't digest that she is unfit to mother a crocadile let alone a child, is beyond comprehension. Why waste more taxpayers money when our tropps are desperate for the gear to fight labour's illegal wars, while Rockall lays waiting to house this evil family? The system failed this handsome little fellow and will continue to fail society as long as we are gudgelled into believing that this dross is allowed to breath the fresh air they denied the little boy, Peter.

POPSTaliban Now Winning There is a segment of the left that is fundamentally mired in the quagmire that is their thinking on any war. They seem to believe that absent a direct threat to the sovereignty and safety of the United States, there is no justification for fighting. I'm not about to begin to explain that because I could care less what the leftards think. They can learn to march backwards on their own damn time. So brace for another information war during the 2010 election cycle as the trumpeters of quagmire sound forth. President Obama may have campaigned with some lively rhetoric about Afghanistan and Pakistan, but there will be considerable opposition from his own party and we will have to see if he will stay the course or cut and run. If the left had their way, they'd make "cut-and-running" an Olympic demonstration sport.

POPSMadoff Hires Consultant to Shop for Best Prison According to the London Times, the 150-year sentence Madoff received makes him ineligible for any of the Club Fed prisons. The U.S. Bureau of Prisons uses a "Security Point Total," which represents a prisoner's risk, to determine the level of security the prisoner requires. Depending on his number, Madoff could be assigned to facilities ranging from a minimum-security prison camp (as in Martha's Stewart's stretch at Camp Cupcake) to a "Supermax" facility. So far, Madoff has spent his time in a maximum-security environment at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York. Hoelter said, "He has been incarcerated under very difficult conditions in these past months. Anywhere he goes is likely to be better than where he is now, unless they throw him into the Supermax . . . He will be able to get exercise. He will be able to do something that makes him productive. He may be able to tutor other inmates."

POPS'I Quit the Evangelical Movement in Disgust': Former Evangelist Fears Right-Wing Lunacy Will Lead to
* Republican senators and representatives giving speeches calling on their followers to accept and work with the president in a truly loyal opposition and denouncing Dick Cheney for saying the president is making us "less safe." * Evangelical Christian and Roman Catholic leaders telling their congregations to stop believing insane Religious Right lies, like the one about Obama being a Muslim, and/or the Antichrist ... Instead, the rising tide of violence is met with silence and/or pretended horror by leaders on the right and yet even more hateful words amounting to outright provocation -- "I hope Obama fails," or, "Obama is making America less safe," or, "We regret Tiller's murder, but after all, he murdered 60,000 babies..." or, "Illegal immigrants must be stopped!" and so on. Who on the right-wing radio shows, among the Republicans in Congress and in far-right media such as Fox News, will now try to cure the sickness of their right-wing followers -- before it explodes
