POPSArab League meet over Sudan ICC issue Sudan’s appointment of a special prosecutor was seen as concession that would provide leverage to the Arab League and African Union (AU) when requesting a resolution from the UN Security Council (UNSC) deferring Al-Bashir’s indictment under Article 16 of the ICC Statute. Sabdarat said today that the prosecutions have made some progress with some suspects in detention and being investigated. He also lashed out at Ocampo saying that he crossed his limits as a prosecutor by discussing his case on “satellite TV’s”. The ICC Pre-Trial Chamber I headed held a closed meeting with Ocampo this week regarding his application for the first time. It is expected that they may take up to three months to issue a decision. Sudan has not ratified the Rome Statute, but the UNSC triggered the provisions under the Statute that enables it to refer situations in non-State parties to the world court if it deems that it is a threat to international peace and security.

POPSMurdered young man of Todmorden No matter who or what created the character of this young Englishman, he did not deserve to be murdered on the streets of Todmorden. Close scrutiny of this boy's history shows the dire pits into which the Social Services in Britain have fallen. The cases of mal-management are legend, but the this over paid bureaucratic self opinionated shower of professionals keep making basic errors. Too much eduction and no involvement of reality. They go to work five morning a week, make occasional house call, collect their expense claims, and at four-thirty go to the pub to tell their fellow workers what good eggs they are. They are cracked and need overhauling with a yard brush. Had they done their job correctly, this young man would not have thought there was a need for him to carry and use a knife on some other young person. Social Service employees are so much like their worthless employers, the politician, that it is impossible to tell them apart.

Or about the return of Habeus Corpus? Or about extraordinary renditions and secret prisons? Or about preemptive aggression? Or about making your war criminals pay for their crimes? Hmm? Anyone? No. No. Let's just keep it entertaining, low key and unsubstantial. Let's talk about lipstick! Yeah! Blacks vs whites, Democrats vs Republicans, pro-life vs pro-choice, Christians vs atheists blah blah blah... "Divide and conquer!". Garcia was charged as an adult in connection with Cano's stabbing. Cano slipped and fell and was set upon by the group, which beat him as Garcia administered the deadly knife attack, Lonergan said. Daley and Garcia have pleaded not guilty. Daley's attorney Javier Ramirez said she never knew any of the teens she was driving were carrying a weapon and suggested she may have been caught up by circumstance. Of the six youths — ages 13 to 17 — charged in the case, five pleaded guilty to manslaughter and were sentenced to time in the California Department of Corrections' Division of Juvenile Justice, Lonergan said.
