But sadly, Obama understands, like Bill Clinton intimately understood, that judicial affairs can be affected by the political branches, such as through sympathetic appointments to the Justice Department and the courts. So it is no small matter that a presidential candidate would consider intervening, albeit indirectly, in a judicial question, especially one involving potential corruption. Who can say at this point whether Obama has nefarious intentions concerning this? But it is difficult to understand what benign motives would lead him to take a position against the advice of the sitting review board that corruption and elections require continued supervision, especially in light of the union's endorsement. We'll see if the "watchdog" MSM pursue this story.

In an effort to provide "context" I will try and obtain and play the entire audio of his NAACP speech from yesterday on today's program. (Michelle Malkin has a round-up on this astonishing speech.) If time permits, I'll replay the sermons as well, even though I played all the audio out there from both on Friday's program. They are the "primary documents" of the controversy, and deserve a wide audience. I suspect the pastor will make more news at the National Press Club, and I'll play that audio as well.

POPSThe Obama double standard Do you think that if those moderating a debate asked the GOP candidate about these relationships for the first time, after 22 previous debates had been held, that other journalists would become apoplectic at the moderators for merely asking about the relationships? Not only would there be a near-universal consensus that those questions should be asked; there would be a moral urgency in pressing for answers. We would, I predict, be seeing an unprecedented media “feeding frenzy.” The truth is that a close relationship with a white supremacist pastor and a friendly relationship with an abortion clinic bomber would, by themselves, torpedo a conservative candidate running for president. There is an enormous double standard at play here, one rooted in the fawning regard many journalists have for Barack Obama....The reaction to Stephanopoulos and Gibson is a revealing and depressing glimpse into the state of modern journalism.

Ironically, the Pakistani ISI wired $100,000 to Mohammad Attah (one of the key patsies used for 9/11 blame, without evidence) just prior to 9/11. Who wants to wager if another "catalyzing event, like a new Pearl Harbor" will happen before Bush leaves office and before the November elections? It would be too convenient, and benefit only the neocon war agenda. "Motive, means, opportunity" are the key considerations for determining who is behind an event. Israel and the neocons would benefit most and have more means and opportunity, and the ability to cast blame through well placed propagandists into the MSM--just as they benefited most from 9/11, to execute their blueprint for a "new middle east" via "regime change".

You name it, the media covered it. And their reporting was often wrong. Take gas prices, a topic near and dear to our wallets these days. This spring, that gasoline could get close to $4. But for years the networks have warned that gas prices would go that high and more. At least 20 times from 2005 to 2007, the networks cautioned about prices hitting $5, and another six times for $6 or higher. Sometimes journalists gave up promoting cataclysm and decided to cheerlead for it. In a Feb. 20, 2008, column, the Washington Post's Steven Pearlstein attacked Wall Street, saying "the best thing that could happen to our economy is for a dozen high-profile hedge funds to collapse; for investment banking to enter a long, deep freeze; for a major bank to fail."

If you or I posted any messages or videos the government would find you in a New York minute. Not so with the (convenient) phantom bin Laden (who has been dead since Dec. 2001 in truth). Really, if SITE has tapped into a genuine Al Qaeda or terrorist message board, then 1) why can't the U.S. spy agencies ($40 billion-plus in expenditures) not trace to its source, and 2) why does the CIA or National Intel director never report this officially, instead of a (private, neocon-linked) extra-governmental agency, and 3) why does it always (without government censorship) make MSM news coverage? THINK! I challenge those who believe this propaganda to answer these three questions.

POPSName that party Slideshow version ABC makes it easy. Instead of having to go search for media bias, ABC does all the work in a nice pretty slideshow format. The official numbers go like this. Of the 13 sex scandals, 12 involve elected officials. Of those, 7 are republican and 5 are democrat. And if you counted you know that they mention party only once for the democrats (20%), but they mention it in six of the clips involving republicans (86%).

My apologies. The Afghanistan hearings issue is still utterly bogus; they were taken by the chair of the entire committee (Biden), and Obama was in attendance.
