POPSAfghanistan: It's game over, time for America to go. Karzai is corrupt, has no legitimacy with the Afghan people, and he's effectively the mayor of Kabul. There is no legitimate reason for Americans to keep killing and dying & pouring money we don't have into occupying a country that: A) No-one since Alexander the Great on up through the Soviets were able to subdue B) Really, REALLY hates outsiders and will kill Americans just because they're there. It's over whether we like it or not. Time to come home.

I have been a long time fan of #TweetDeck but I recently switched over to using #TweetGlide. It is very similar in function and look to TweetDeck but with one very important difference: You can use it as an Internet Marketing Tool. Read below for some of the major features but pay particular attention to the section on "Earning Money" with TweetGlide. It looks like there are three ways to make money with it: 1. Refer it to others and get affiliate commission. You can get this only if people purchase the Premium Package. I will explain this later but for now, know that I immediately bought one of these. 2. Sponsored Ads/Tweets. For every five tweets you post, about anything, you get one ad/tweet posted in a special sponsored twitter account. No spamming your own list or any other list. POPSCMOs are Choosing to Activate Social Media via In-house Resources I'm surprised, but pleasantly surprised that over 65% of surveyed CMOs are choosing to go in-house for their social media work. It's the right choice for several reasons and there are a few money quotes below. Social Media should be managed in-house because: 1. It's cheaper. You can hire a "Community Manager" for half of what it would take for an agency to manage the business. 2. It's faster. If you have someone in-house who is intimately involved in the brand and the company, you will be able to react to opportunities and challenges faster. 3. It's all about the content. Agencies are probably more skilled on the technical side, but let's face it - pretty much anyone can figure out how to use Twitter, Facebook, Flickr or blogs these days. But not everyone can get the content right. And if you need some Tech help, outsource it for a couple days or learn it! (Found this piece via @daveknox )

The question of whether or not Former President Bush and Administration "allowed 9/11" to happen is pretty much irrelevant- the information that attacks were imminent was circulating within the government and it was not acted upon. Most people have probably forgotten that because Bush launched a war on Afganistan practically the same day the news came out.

POPSTwitter + "Opt-in" Beacon = Justbought.it? I was initially pessimistic about this concept. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized how great people's desire to publish their lifestream is...including what they purchase. As an opt-in service rather than what beacon tried to do, it might just work. I have not tried the service and the execution of the idea is critical, but there are potential ecommerce, lead generation, and advertising opportunities that could provide justbought.it with a rare money making formula.
