POPSResponding to modern Marxism Every single Democrat in the current majority, including Barack Obama, swore an oath to "preserve, protect and defend" the Constitution. Yet, they absolutely ignore the limitation of power set forth in Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution. None of the 17 powers enumerated there authorizes the current health-care bills or the cap-and-trade bill, or the bailout, or the stimulus package – all recently passed by the House of Representatives. When asked by a reporter to identify the constitutional authority for the current health-care bills, Sen. Patrick Leahy said: "We have plenty of authority, why would you say we don't have authority?" Speaker Nancy Pelosi's reply to the same question was: "Are you serious? Are you serious?" Obviously, neither one is "preserving, protecting or defending" the Constitution when they ignore its limitation of congressional power.

POPSBeck says Net Neutrality would 'destroy the free market that created the Internet'. Oh really?
The origins of the Internet reach back to the 1960s when the United States funded research projects of its military agencies to build robust, fault-tolerant and distributed computer networks. This research and a period of civilian funding of a new U.S. backbone by the National Science Foundation spawned worldwide participation in the development of new networking technologies and led to the commercialization of an international network in the mid 1990s, and resulted in the following popularization of countless applications in virtually every aspect of modern human life. Meanwhile, Beck has yet to explain how regulations constraining the mega-corporations that provide our Internet infrastructure from deciding what content we can and can't access would actually take the system "out of the private hands of private business". Maybe Beck can explain to us why Comcast was attacking peer-to-peer file sharing on its network system.

POPSAfghanistan - another view
who, according to British media, are not present in this war torn country. Not controlling the high ground is a certain recipe for disaster. In a modern age where logistics are so essential it is amazing that a semi literate almost primitive foe can have access to modern telephone technology but the Nato troops are ham-strung with their heavy and useless radio networks and equipment. All Nato troops now carry weapons that share 55.6 ammunition in a country where the average contact starts at massive distances. This means that you are dependent on support weapons which are totally alien to the mobility of troops trained for speed and action. The Italians, masters at Alpine terrains and warfare would never acquiesce to allowing their soldiers to be more than shooting ducks in a theatre they practice in their own back yard, or would they? Read this piece for yourself and then speak with you MP. Or better still continue accepting the lies fostered by this illegal and immoral governme

POPSChallenging Authority for Good Speading the truth about our over-consumptive consumer culture and our modern food system can benefit us all tremendously. The more aware we become the healthier we will become. It’s a domino effect, we eat healthier, we stay away from health-related problems, we pay out less for health care, we live longer. I mean, where’s the downside? The blog lists some great learning sources: books, videos, and online sites that encourages we take part in global issues ranging from climate change to organic foods to clean water. We need to get this next generation interested and take advantage of their fresh ideas and youthful energy to keep it going. BTW, I've read all the books listed on the blog, except one and I just reserved that one at my library. They are very well written, informative and entertaining. Go get your self educated, trust me it won't hurt.

POPS Organs For Health Care and I don’t want to spend the rest of my career waste-deep in a tub of hybrid vehicle battery acid. I just want to note a major beneficial aspect of the one-party autocracy system that Friedman left out. The work camps for political prisoners. Not only would they be a great place to throw angry peasants and annoying right-wing talk show hosts, shutting them up and making them a useful source of cheap labor for jobs that undocumented comrades don’t want to do, like working in vats full of whatever chemicals they need to make all the ”green” stuff. But the government also could sell their organs to help pay for universal health care. There, that’s my idea.

More than 1,000 people will attend the ceremony and the performances held after it, according to Zhao Luqun, who will direct the performances. POPSPolite Obituaries? Not So Much for Jesse Helms Last Year The Washington Post stressed Helms “rode his divisiveness to victory.” The New York Times obituary threw punches, describing him as the senator “whose courtly manner and mossy drawl barely masked a hard-edged conservatism that opposed civil rights, gay rights, foreign aid and modern art.” The networks were no better. NBC’s Lester Holt blatantly copied the Times: “He staked out firm positions against everything from communism and foreign aid to civil rights and modern art.” let's recall how Helms was eulogized on the Ed Schultz radio show last year. Fill-in host Norman Goldman said this: "That race-baiting, racist, horrible Jesse Helms ad got him ahead of Harvey Gantt and got him reelected in 1990. Harvey Gantt would have made a much better senator and Jesse Helms shamelessly played the race card. He was a miserable rat. The world's a better place without him. I hope he's down there in hell roasting with Jerry Falwell."

POPSAmerican media (or why I get my news from BBC) In 1990, I dumped my TV because my 5 yr. old son could not peel himself away from it long enough to play. The boy grew up, graduated from college, and moved out. Went to a friend's house to see if cable TV was a worthy media to have in my home and found the modern cesspool that passes for "news". The most offensive and shocking was a company that extolled itself for being "fair and balanced". I think I'll keep my money and time for myself, I don't think it would be a "fair and balanced" exchange.

POPSI Smell a rat!!! - Editing of the mainstream media Fraud Over Obamas birthplace EXPOSED. I know what the original article said and thought i was going mad then I stumbled across this whilst looking for another article. Note the comparison as these are two versions of the same article. The second is the edit with it now stating it to be "the continent of his fathers birth" instead of the original sentence (see pic) of "continent of his birth." He needs to be removed from office as I do not believe he could be impeach as his claim to the presidency was never legitiment in the firtst place. Please correct me if I'm wrong on this particular point that is to follow, If he was removed it would take his corrupt administration with him wouldn't it? We need to make more noise on this subject. It does however it does raise the frightening prospect of having a psychopath like Hilary Clinton in power. You really think she just sat back and let Bill do, well anything at all really?

POPSObama's Pseudo-Science Czar
I’m willing to accept that Jones may have changed his political tune somewhat. After all, Ronald Reagan was firmly on the left before he started shifting towards the right, and the term “neoconservative,” before the term became an Anti-Semitic code word among both the far left and right, was originally used to describe formerly left-leaning political and social scientists who found that following the facts led them away from socialism and modern liberalism. Still, even if he has begrudgingly admitted the realities of the free market, Jones not only continues to deploy socialist rhetoric, but embraces some decidedly specious ideas. Jones’s Wikipedia entry notes that he is a fellow of the Institute of Noetic Sciences. Founded by astronaut-turned-parapsychologist Edgar Mitchell, the Institute declares itself in mission statement to be “a nonprofit membership organization located in Northern California that conducts and sponsors leading-edge research into the potentials and

POPSChina: new warriors at terracotta army site more: Xu said the army officer was found lying on its stomach behind four chariots, and was largely intact compared with other newly-discovered warriors, according to Xinhua. “The original colors have faded after more than 2,000 years of decay, but a corner of the officer's robe suggested it was in colors other than the grey-ish clay,” he said. The latest excavation is the third in the site's largest pit — one of three open to the public — since 1974 when the army of terracotta warriors and horses was discovered by a peasant digging a well. Up to 5,000 more life-size figures are believed to still be buried in the pit and awaiting excavation. The Terracotta Army is one of the greatest archaeological finds of modern times, and was listed as a World Heritage Site in 1987.

POPSThe last days of health freedom Now we are at the point that food and healthcare systems simply cannot exist anymore in the same manner as before. Prevailing majority of modern diseases in one way or another linked to these two spheres; instead of to be healing factors they are threatening and damaging. We have no choice but changing it. Can we do it? Yes we can!:)
