POPSReal Slime: An Open Letter To Bill Maher
But the most pathetic thing is when you expose your lack of education (both formal and informal) with your crackpot “theories.” This was no more evident than in the season finale of Real Time this past friday, where you asserted that it was doctors and patients “colluding together” to “corrupt” the healthcare system. This statement was so absurd and bizarre that your entire guest panel (all liberals) and even your reliably sycophantic studio audience just stared at you in disbelief. After three seconds of uncomfortable silence both the audience and panel (that included Chris Matthews and Alec Baldwin) erupted in laughter—not with you, but AT you. Things unraveled further when you launched into a diatribe defending more stupid comments you’d made the previous week about vaccines being “dangerous medical procedures.” Both Matthews and Baldwin were visibly disgusted by this, which resulted in Matthews aggressively confronting you and making you look like an idiot—again.

POPSMore McCain There are so many reasons not to vote for McCain....his intelligence is the major stumbling block......he is not intelligent. After all, even George W was a flyer of jets. How much intelligence does it take?

POPSMcCain Jokes about Killing Iranians ... AGAIN McCain reminds me of a cross between Yosemite Sam http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rNFsnZdn1Ho and Peppermint Patty http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QGQ2WvjvTHA . Yosemite Sam being the gunslinger on the Bugs Bunny cartoon with a bad temper and Peppermint Patty the dim-witted, D-minus grade-getting talkative character on the Charlie Brown show who was always putting her foot in her mouth. I think those two cartoon characters had a kid and named him John McCain.

POPSFood For Thought On Memorial Day What do Americans miss about home when they're stationed abroad? Everything from pizza to sex. Jokes aside, though, it's sobering to think about people just like us in service overseas. Let's try to think about them a little bit more this weekend.

POPSHalf of Vets Suffering Brain and Mind Injuries Go Untreated, but Pentagon Pretends Nothing's Going O It's been left up to Lt. Col. Steven Pflanz, the senior psychiatry policy analyst for the Air Force surgeon general, to report on the mental healthcare practices that have been developed for those on active duty. Kerry Knox, director of the VA's Center for Excellence on Suicide Prevention, was scheduled to share with him these introductory remarks, but is not in attendance. Apologies are made, but no one mentions how obviously difficult it would be for her to get into the self-congratulatory HOOAH! spirit of this conference when her boss just got busted big time for hiding VA suicide statistics, not just to the media but to Congress as well.

POPSAl Gore: Funny quotes "The White House has now released military documents that they say prove George Bush met his requirements for the National Guard. Big deal, we've got documents that prove Al Gore won the election." --Jay Leno "There was an embarrassing moment in the White House earlier today. They were looking around while searching for George Bush's military records. They actually found some old Al Gore ballots." --David Letterman "In a speech over the weekend, Al Gore brutally attacked President Bush and his policies. You see, if Al Gore really wants President Bush to lose in 2004, instead of attacking Bush, he should endorse him. Look what it did for the Dean campaign." --Jay Leno

POPSKerry lying about what he meant to say? I guess he has resorted to multiple choice jokes. He has offered a number of different variations and I guess you are just supposed to pick the one you like and that is what he meant to say.

POPSFlorida dine-and-dash man is upset at media coverage Ralph Paul, the air force Lt. Col. who was sued for refusing to pay his restaurant bill, on what he calls the "'media frenzy' that has engulfed the entire nation" about his case. He thinks people have portrayed him unfairly. POPSTop 45 Oxymorons I found this browsing an Indian site (the same one I clipped the Bill Gates jokes from). It seems we Indians have something against Microsoft. I personally have nothing against Microsoft. The last one is pretty funny
