POPSU.S. Fails To Make Top 10 Quality of Life Index Sure, it's easy to claim a higher quality of life when you live in a place like France, where you get 30 days of paid vacation every year. Never mind that their productivity numbers nearly equal ours. Where's the index for rugged individualism and personal responsibility? How good do ya think them Frenchies would do on that, huh? They just don't have the stuff to accept a shorter life expectancy and crappy health care. (The lifespan for African-Americans in the former French city of New Orleans is about the same as that of people living in North Korea.) But, hey, they're not who we mean when we talk about Americans, anyway. I don't want your damn pinko health care. And keep your hands off my gun. Oh, and, U.S. outta the U.N., dammit!

POPSKennedy would have been urged to die earlier under Obama Care " t was President Obama himself who suggested that seniors who don't have as long to live might want to consider just taking a pain pill instead of getting an expensive operation to cure them," said Huckabee. "Yet when Sen. Kennedy was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer at 77, did he give up on life and go home to take pain pills and die? Of course not. He freely did what most of us would do. He choose an expensive operation and painful follow up treatments. He saw his work as vitally important and so he fought for every minute he could stay on this earth doing it. He would be a very fortunate man if his heroic last few months were what future generations remember him most for."

POPSRNC's below-the-belt shot at Pelosi The RNC video, which begins with the speaker’s head in the iconic spy-series gun sight... WTF? Oh, right, it's the GOP, which can jokingly threaten the use of guns against their political adversaries instead of engaging in debate, and it's just considered "funny." It wasn't so funny for 2 "liberal" church-goers who were gunned down by a right-winger whose hatred for liberals was incited by right-wing hate radio. Hate and fear are all the GOP have left. I don't defend Pelosi, in fact I'd like to see her gone from politics, but this little joke is beyond the pale. It is adolescent, offensive, and downright un-American.

POPS My Tea Party Rant Huckabee saddled the Republicans with McCain, period. Romney would have been the candidate to have on the podium when it was obvious that the economy was in trouble. Now remember, with no Obama in the White House pursuing his Marxists policies, it is very unlikely that these Tea Parties would have ever occurred. So, I find it particularly outrageous that Huckabee was out in front, co-opting the Tea Parties to the benefit of his ‘Fair Tax’ issue, when he in large part, contributed to the eventual election of Obama by saddling us with the inept John McCain. Now, Huckabee has parleyed his campaign presence into some sort of Fox TV show and we can expect him to be putting his mug in front of any populist movement that he thinks he can use to further his cause - him. ( There is a good article over on mises.org about the Flat Tax and the Fair Tax, and how they distract from the real problem - out of control spending) http://mises.org/story/3389

POPSTime Marches On "At the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington in February, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee declared that "Lenin and Stalin would love this stuff." Obama's economic stimulus package, Huckabee added, would help create "socialist republics" in the United States. On what planet are these people living? In a sense, they are living on the same planet as the editors of the Chicago Tribune after Hiss' conviction in 1950. Time marches on, but ideological anti-rationalism does not."

POPSCPAC Straw Poll Vindicates Ron Paul, Huckabee Distanced
Ron Paul in virtual tie for 2nd, with Palin, well above Huckabee. Conservatives, unlike the republican establishment, like Ron Paul's principles on economics, preserving Constitutional law and liberty, and apparently even foreign policy (surprise, surprise) over others . This shows that conservatives then are divided, and not ready to throw all their weight behind one lead candidate (i.e. Romney, a CFR member and RINO who has no real conservative or Constitutional record). It must be acknowledged that Ron Paul's principles are vindicated as attractive among conservatives, and been missing from the Republican party. While Romney won the poll this still means Republicans are out of touch with conservatives listening now to Paul outside the heat of political campaigns. The fact that he fairs so much better here than during the primaries (although he trampled Giuliani then) says that conservatives are awakening and listening to his message, finally.

POPSHuckabee Jokes About Assassinating Obama The religious right(Huckabee) has the same extreme thinking as the neocons pushing the New World Order and destroying American democracy. To prove a point, a comment from this clip on YouTube... "lol I was at that annual meeting when that occured, it was funny as hell. but seriously no more bashing our savior barry obama " ...funny as hell?

POPSRachel Maddow Responds to Bobby Jindal Hilarious! 1. I'm just like Obama. 2. Tax cuts cure everything. 3. Tax cuts and prayers are far more effective than monitoring possible natural disasters. 4. Sarah Palin and I are running for President in 2012 along with Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee. Republicans rock!

POPSLaughs All Around Of course Mike thinks gay marriage would be bad for society, bad for marriage, and bad for children. WRONG, WRONG, WRONG. Everyone has a right to fall in love with whomever they choose, and it's inappropriate for him to politic on a "religious" ( I could argue otherwise) platform for government to mediate our relationships. In fact, it is only reinforcing beliefs that are homophobic and teaching others to hate homosexuals. He is totally free to live his life according to his beliefs; God bless America. But it's morally and civilly wrong for him to prevent other people from being happy in their own love.

POPS'Barack the Magic Negro' Derision, disrespect, division and hate are all the GOP have left. Saltsman was national campaign manager for former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee's presidential bid in 2007 and 2008. Before that, he held a variety of posts, including a number of positions under former Sen. Bill Frist of Tennessee.

POPSStewart to Huckabee: At What Age Did You Choose Not To Be Gay? For over seven minutes last night, Jon Stewart grilled former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee on his opposition to gay marriage. Huckabee is touring the country to promote his new book, "Do The Right Thing." When Stewart compared gay marriage bans to interracial marriage bans, Huckabee restated his view that homosexuality is simply a behavior choice:

POPSchuck-norris-powered-mike-huckabee-ad Chuck Norris is the Most popular one liner quoted celebrity on the internet. Mr Chuck Norris appeared in Mike Huckabee Presidential Ad . I wonder why Mike Huckabee didn’t won in the election. Because having Chuck Norris is like having god by the side. Maybe Huckabee didn’t keep his end of the deal? Who Knows?

POPSPalin in '12 OK, I'm up for it, you betcha! I'm wondering though how 64% of Republicans want her to run for president. Perhaps it's due to election shock?

POPSThe Reign of Lame Falls Mainly on McCain The winner is Obama because now he can start hanging out in public with Bill Ayers and Rev. Jeremiah Wright again. John McCain is a winner because he can resume buying more houses. And for only the second time in her adult life, Michelle Obama was proud of her country. And we're all winners because we will never again have to hear McCain say, "my friends." After Bill Clinton won the 1992 presidential election, Hillary Clinton immediately announced that, henceforth, she would be known as "Hillary Rodham Clinton." So maybe Obama can now become B. Hussein Obama, his rightful name. For now, we have a new president-elect. In the spirit of reaching across the aisle, we owe it to the Democrats to show their president the exact same kind of respect and loyalty that they have shown our recent Republican president. Starting tomorrow, if not sooner.

POPS'Joe the Plumber' Complains About Media Attention Look buddy, you don't get to hold a press conference and then complain that the media's giving you too much attention. You especially don't get to do it on a cable news network show. In related news, McCain accuses Democrats of " smearing " Wurzelbacher -- as if all that stuff about him not actually being licensed, being behind on his taxes, and being opposed to Social Security are Democrats' fault.

POPSRonald Reagan Returns in Form of Joe the Plumber
European Model The implication is that the U.S. now should follow the European model -- a bigger, more stable state. In the Euro plan, government doesn't have to come out and extend deposit insurance. That's because everyone assumes the government is already guaranteeing everything anyhow. But Republicans don't listen to non-Republican pundits very often. They listen to their own. So Reagan's true coroners are the Republican or Republican-friendly experts who have dismissed him as ``yesterday.'' For years now, long before the recent market debacle, party advisers have been talking about building up Theodore Roosevelt as a Reagan substitute. TR's muscular diplomacy could be cast as a precedent for the Iraq action. TR's emphasis on reform also seemed modern. Taxes and Faxes What Joe the Plumber reminds us is what Republicans used to know -- that the only path to true recovery for the U.S., even now, is growth. U.S. isn't a petro-economy. It's an incentive economy.
