Authorities Investigate Lake Elsinore Explosion
merrie
by merrie  10-8-2009    1
My contact also says that the victim told the hospital it was a gun shot that blew up his hand, but doctors could obviously see that wasn't the case and alerted authorities. As my contact says. This could be as serious as domestic terrorism by a skinhead group, or as simple as a drug guy playing with explosives to protect his crop or lab. FBI Investigates California Man Injured by Explosive Device Investigators found explosives, a sophisticated marijuana growing facility and evidence that the home recently had been used as a state-licensed child care facility, Gutierrez said. "We do believe that when all this illegal activity was going on, that children were present," he said. However, no children were home at the time of the explosion, authorities said. Kuzelka's mother, Rebecca Kuzelka, 55, and brother Grey Kuzelka, 21, were arrested at the home for investigation of child endangerment, manufacture of explosives and cultivating marijuana

Your Tax dollars at work. A detective cataloging evidence repeatedly put down her work to bowl. When she hit two strikes in a row, she raised her arms above her head, jumping and kicking. Kind of makes me wonder if all the drugs were categorized or taken home along with some of that stolen property. Ha ha on you Police jerks.

First developed in the Soviet Union and exported to Moscow's allies across the world, the AK-47 has been used in countless conflicts in the developing world. In the hands of the Viet Cong during the Vietnam War, it became a symbol of resistance to America.

Don't Blame Pot -- There's No Such Thing as a "Gateway Drug"
JackieDel
by JackieDel  5-29-2009    7
If marijuana is a "gateway drug" then why has heroin use in Amsterdam only increased slightly in the past 20 years since it was decriminalised two decades ago? By contrast heroin use in the US has risen more than 1,000% over the same period. Is it because unlike the USA, people ion the Netherlands who want to smoke pot can go to a coffee shop to buy their drugs, instead of being forced to buy from criminals who also sell other drugs? Maybe US authorities could learn something from their European neighbours?

The Tragic Story of Todd Marinovich Continues...
dgreplay
by dgreplay  4-4-2009
If for some reason you were wondering who was professional sports most confounding, bizarre, enigmatic, and down right depressing figure you need look no further than Todd Marinovich. This latest arrest further underscores how tragic his his life has become. His story is too long to tell but the short version goes something like this: Son of a USC football team captain and national champion; he is raised in a virtual bubble bred for athletic achievement. Top high school QB in the country and 1987's U.S. HS scholar athlete. Recruited by Stanford, BYU, Miami, USC, etc. Can't miss prospect. Enters USC and as red-shirt freshman kills it, beats Michigan in Bo Schembechlers final game. Chapter two: trouble starts, leaves after soph season. Drafted 1st round by Oakland. Downhill from there. Several false starts again in B league football, addiction, accusations of rape, jail, street life, etc. If your in the mood for a immediate buzz kill you can read the deets here: http://tinyurl.com/cvxcd

The bill also contains a host of provisions aimed at reversing Bush-era policies, including... shutting down a controversial program that allows some Mexican trucking companies to operate freely throughout the United States, instead of only along the U.S.-Mexico border." I'm in total support of that part. Some of what he is planning is good but much is being frivolous. Many of these programs are good but we are in pretty dire circumstances right now economically & just do not have the money for many of these.

During our on-air coverage, Bearden’s tattoos have been a focal point of legal discussion. I have learned from those close to the defendant that when he was arrested for killing Ryan Skipper in 2007 he didn’t have those tattoos. While in jail awaiting trial these last two years, he was beaten up so severely he was admitted to the hospital because of his injuries. I am told Bearden later got these tattoos to help survive jailhouse life.
