POPSMessiah Lies About His Senate Committee Assignment John explains the rest: But Obama is not a member of the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee. Obama just made that up so he could count the committee's action as one of "my deeds." If committed by a Republican, this would be a gaffe of historic proportions. Even a Senator as inattentive to his duties as Obama certainly knows what committees he serves on. For him to fabricate the claim, out of whole cloth, that the Senate Banking Committee is " committee," strikes me as another sign of Obama's megalomania. That, plus more evidence that he is totally at sea without a teleprompter. Illinois Senator's Record Of Inaction Leaves Him Discredited WASHINGTON, July 14 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The following is being issued by the Republican National Committee: As Chairman Of The Subcommittee With NATO Oversight, Obama Has Failed To Hold Any Hearings On Afghanistan:

POPSObama's Flip-Flopping Caused By Evil Twin (alter-ego) In light of the recent changes in the current truth, it is important to understand which contradictory "flip-flopping" statement belongs to which twin. The officially registered "flip-flops" already include Public Financing, Guns, Iraq, FISA, Special Interests, NAFTA, the Cuba Embargo, Illegal Immigration, and Abortion. The list grows almost daily. Just a few examples: * Top Obama Flip-Flops * Collection of Obama Flip-Flops * Obama & McCain (cannot confirm a McCain evil twin) Flip-Flops The discovery of an evil twin comes as a huge relief to most Americans who otherwise might conclude that Obama is not a new transcendent-type messiah, but a usual Chicago-type lying politician. Luckily, nobody will have to contemplate the depth of Obama's perceived depravity anymore, because the existence of the evil twin changes everything.

POPSTablet ignites debate on messiah and resurrection "This should shake our basic view of Christianity," he said as he sat in his office of the Shalom Hartman Institute in Jerusalem where he is a senior fellow in addition to being the Yehezkel Kaufman Professor of Biblical Studies at Hebrew University. "Resurrection after three days becomes a motif developed before Jesus, which runs contrary to nearly all scholarship. What happens in the New Testament was adopted by Jesus and his followers based on an earlier messiah story."

POPS A Trifecta Of Gaffes Has Obama Taking Heat
By laughing not with, but at, Obama the mainstream media again demonstrated the type of emotional distance one might almost mistake for journalistic independence. (Conservative pundits have been mocking Obama’s elite iconography for some time.) For patriotic Americans holding traditional value this was a bit of civic blasphemy. The presumptuousness was only outdone by the lack of reverence for existing symbols of the U.S. Obama played the race card - loudly and blatantly. He suggested, with no evidence whatsoever, that Republicans were pointing to his race as a reason to question his fitness for the presidency. That tactic seemed further evidence that his effort to minimize race are over and he now intends to use race as a sword to attack his Republican opponent. It however is a potentially dangerous strategy, certain to turn off some segment of white voters who do not want to be bludgeoned by racial politics. Here Obama has done what weeks of McCain ads and speeches could not

POPSMore AP "Messiah" subliminal messages? It's really getting silly....except that very few Americans are Biblically literate anymore. Or maybe the press is just looking for these kinds of photo-ops to make the impression.

POPSTOP 20 WORST CASTING DECISIONS EVER Part II (#10 - #6)
Here in the second Part I had to go deeper into the author's reasoning. No problem with Knightley, Denise Richards (though he was rather brutal), and Shatner... but I take exception with Robinson and Connery! Robinson did not play the Pharaoh in the Ten Commandments, Yul Brynner was Ramses II and his father, Seti, was played by great British actor Sir Cedric Hardwicke. Robinson was a minor overseer of his fellow Hebrews building the Pyramids... Never let Hollywood stand in the way of history but the reviewer should know that there was no Hebrew Pharaoh! The second point is a little less on point and more of opinion, but I find Sean Connery is such a great actor that disbelief is suspended when he is on the screen (note: Highlander II; the one no one wants to claim they made was a glaring exception but it was a stupid movie!) I found him convincing as Bond long before I thought of Moore, Dalton or Brosnan and they were very good Bonds and I had never seen an original until the mid 80

POPSMessiah In Our Midst She proclaims her husband is the sort of leader who will fix our broken souls. Those of you who thought we had a Second Amendment to keep government from fixing your soul are so 20th century. Evolve already. When asked in an interview what sin is, Obama defined it as “Being out of alignment with my values.” Apparently, the editor failed to capitalize the “M” in “My.” “I am absolutely certain,” Obama proclaimed in his victory speech, “that generations from now, we will be able to look back and tell our children that this was the moment when we began to provide care for the sick and good jobs for the jobless; this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal. This was the moment — this was the time — when we came together to remake this great nation ...”

POPS 8-foot statue of Jesus stolen off Detroit crucifix It's unclear when the statue was snatched. A parishioner noticed it missing Monday from its perch on the side of the church, 10 feet above the ground. A small piece of plaster was found nearby. The church has made a public plea for help. "It is so crazy," Randolph said. "It's been there for so long and was a symbol of hope to a lot of people in this neighborhood." Police were investigating, but department spokesman James Tate said it was doubtful thieves had mistaken the plaster statue for copper. "People who steal copper know what copper is and what it feels like," Tate said. "There is no way they would think a plaster statue is some type of metal."

POPSTradecraft Of Socialist Realism So the media know exactly how to use that kind of image on behalf of the Left. On the other hand, John McCain is already being depicted as a crippled dwarf by nice people like these. http://www.desertratdemocrat.com/archives/1-mccain_bush_hug.jpg Oregon was a Phony-Op, a staged photo-op. The Clintons were masters of the phony-op, in the close coordination with their Hollywood friends. That's how Bill kept his numbers up. So keep a sharp eye out for Phony-Ops. They will be coming at us as regular “news” features until Senator O wins. Then there'll be a lot more over the next four or eight years. But if John McCain wins you won’t see them, just as you haven't seen them with President Bush --- the most media-abused President since Ronald Reagan. Just watch out for that little lump in your throat, the one that tells you, "Haven't I seen this before in Lord of the Rings?" And whatever you do, don't swallow. "Marketing Of A President"

POPSLike Lemmings To The Sea All of this assumes that mankind is the primary cause of global warming anyway. You might be surprised to learn that there has never been a single scientific paper published which has ruled out natural climate variability for most of our current global-mean warmth. Not one. As the mass hysteria calling for an end to carbon dioxide production has accelerated, ethanol has arisen as the new messiah of radical environmentalism, promising to assuage our guilty enviro-consciences when we choose to starve more of the world’s poor.

POPSPolitical Worshippers Of The New Messiah
You Say You Want a Revolution_ Mark Steyn A few days ago, a local news team went to shoot some film at the Houston campaign headquarters for Obama. Behind the desks were posters of Che Guevara and Cuban flags. Needless to say, the news reporters were either indifferent to this curious veneration or too sensitive to mention it, and it was left to the right-wing extremist Roy Rogers fascists of the blogosphere to point it out. Do Obama’s volunteers even know who Che is? Apart from being a really cool guy on posters and T-shirts, like James Dean or Bart Simpson, I doubt it. They’re pseudo revolutionaries. But even so, to be born a U.S. citizen is, as Cecil Rhodes once said of England, to win first prize in the lottery of life. Not even Obama supporters want real revolution: your cities get torched, the economy collapses. Ask the many peoples around the world for whom revolution means not a lame-o Sixties poster above your desk but the carnage and horror of the day before yesterday.
