POPSUS 49% fish toxic - what do you think global toxicity is? We do not protect our water as well as we should but we do a better job than most of the areas we are importing fish from, I believe. Wonder if they sell portable kits so you could test your meal before ordering at Red Lobster is you still kill fish - er eat fish. Sorry, I am a vegan - grin.

POPSMercury and Autism The controversy rages on. A recent study said that because the mercury levels found in people's blood with and without autism were basically the same, there was no link. But, as this clip suggests, the place to be testing mercury levels isn't in the blood, but in the tissue.

POPSFix Ford Mustang Cowl leaks or prevent them Back in 1986 when I discovered my 66 Mustang had a cowl leak , I tried all the usual ways to slow or stop the ever present threat of water damage to the cowl area , This one actually worked well enough for me and have used one of these great covers for over 10 years, they work very well , i just attach it to the car by lining up the front edge and I'm done . The strong Magnetic action of the Vinyl coated rubber does the rest , Even when I ran my car at the strip it did not come off , staying tight to a timed 98 MPH quarter. If I had my choice i would have used one of these covers from day one of getting my Mustang and saved a lot of time and work , I now see they are available for Cougars as well as Ford maverick 60 thru 65 Ford Falcon as well as the same year Mercury Comets. Check it out at Classiccowlcovers.info and enjoy your car more.

POPSCorporate Dirty Work (or Big Fat Lies Exposed) Peta kills animals. Mercury in fish is not a problem. Increasing wages of the lowest paid will harm America. Trans fats and sugars are good for you. Junk food is good for you. Climate change not a problem. The Washington Tea Baggers protest grew out of a grass roots movement: American corporate spin, aided and abetted by Rick Berman and exposed by Maddow. Brilliant!

POPSUS Energy and Natural Resouces Maze Scan the more than 250 bills introduced this term in to the US House Natural Resources Committee and the 49 members of the committee and you begin to understand how difficult it is to enact large strategic changes in policy and why Congress might spend time building target shooting facilities on public lands or in wilderness sites. Consider what states have representatives on the committee and those that do not. Earmarking or "pork" then starts to become clear: "Give you a new energy policy? Sure - give me a new pier for Santa Monica." grin/groan.

POPS1/3 of ParentsSay No To H1N1 Shot It's one of those things where you're almost damned if you do, damned if you don't I thought they weren't using Thermerosol in vaccines anymore. The preservative is not in the FluMist nasal spray, which can be given to healthy kids age 2 and older. But it's in many injectable doses, which are packaged in multi-dose vials that require thimerosal to prevent bacterial contamination

POPSLive East of Arizona? Say "Thanks EPA!" If you live east of Arizona and this proposed $3 billion coal fired plant were to be built - all of us to the east would have more coal produced pollution thrust in to your air, rain, and land, as well as lungs. The ash and mercury from Ohio coal fired plants more or less killed the once pristine lakes in New York. Be happy that you may not have this Arizona coal air to sift through you lungs and the lungs of our land.
