POPSManson follower 'Squeaky' Fromme out of prison Fromme was granted parole in July 2008 and released "via good conduct time" after completing a 15-month sentence for unlawful escape from a federal correctional institution, according to the statement. That sentence was being served consecutively after a life sentence for threats against the president. She escaped from a female prison in Alderson, W.Va., on Dec. 23, 1987, and was recaptured about two miles away on Christmas Day after a massive search. She was sentenced to an additional 15 months in prison for the escape. Fromme had said she escaped from prison to be closer to Manson.

They will say now, since they've dropped the "end-of-life counseling, you don't have to worry about rationing on the elderly or gov't intervention (no matter how subtle or stealthy). Here we see 40% (I saw elsewhere that it was 80% in a "straight" news article) LESS to be paid to medicare providers. Do we then have facilities with less to invest in equipment? Lower wages to docs & personell? Leading to bad attitudes? Moonlighting? Overworked & stressed employees? Rushing more patients through to compensate for the lower reimbursement? I don't know. Does this logic follow? They sure don't have a workable plan, here. And they know it. It IS clear that THAT is why they wanted to rush it through.

POPSObamaCare Rationing Board ~ More Authority Than Congress The council would be authorized to make broad recommendations for reform in Medicare, but its chief role would be to help set payment rates for Part A and Part B services for the elderly. By Dec. 31 each year, for example, it would submit a package for Part B covering physicians, home health and durable medical equipment. By Oct. 1, a package would be due for Part A covering hospitals and skilled nursing facilities. The recommendations would go the White House, and within 30 days, the president would be required to send a message to Congress reflecting his approval or disapproval. The president's discretion would be limited in that he would have to give an up-or-down on the entire package, not pieces of it. But he would have an effective veto and more leeway than Congress, which would have 30 days to summon majorities in both houses and overcome a potential Senate filibuster.
