POPS8 Fictional Characters Who Died Too Early Well, I can not say I agree with the list all in total (Segal was not a big loss and a Video Game Character???) but overall, a well-reasoned list. A few key actors or roles I would have considered: Powers Booth in Red Dawn Orrie Main (Patrick Swazey) in North & South: Book III Laurence J. Fishbun in Deep Blue Christian Slater (no, not David Arquette) in 3000 Miles to Graceland Drew Barrymore in Scream Joker (jack Nicholson) not too early in the movie but in the series! George C. Scott in Taps. Morgan Freeman in The Sum of All Fears... Just a few off the top of my head and I am sure we all can think of others but this is a wonderful site for lists and this one (other than foe the inclusion of a video game) is a good list.

POPSRecycled tires as firewood splitting aids I like the use of the upturned bucket as a tool table to avoid bending (see photo). The bucket can then hold the tools for easy transport when the job is done. As if the job of wood-splitting is ever done! Note the need to eliminate mosquito breeding habitats by puncturing the tires in several places to allow water to drain out.

POPSOprah knows how to pick 'em My friend Corwin IM'd me the other day, RAVING about an Oprah book club novel that he just finished. "You HAVE to check out "The Road" he says. "Ignore the fact that Oprah picked it, just go get it and read it." I was shocked to hear that he actually picked up an Oprah book in the first place, much less to hear that he was enthusiastic about it. "This will be taught in school someday--I'm not exaggerating!" So, despite the fact that I really hate supporting anything remotely related to Oprah, I put it on my Zooba list and it should be arriving soon. Good thing I did that last week, before it ends up out-of-stock now that McCarthy has hit the ultimate in publishing recognition.
