POPSThe "scary" bikers of Rescue Ink have just saved 180 abandoned kittens The guy in the photo is Batso, one of the Rescue Ink members. At 74 years old he's still an imposing figure, sporting body art from some of the most highly regarded tattoo artists in the world. Batso is a dedicated martial artist and weight lifter, who holds a Connecticut state record in power lifting. Growing up, Batso cared for sheep, goats, as well as poultry, and began developing a lifelong love and respect for animals. Animal abuse is something that Batso cannot, and will not tolerate. Among his close friends Batso counts Inky, a rescued pit bull that had been abandoned, and his iguana George. I love the photo. As one commenter said, "The guy and the kitten have the same expression on their faces!" :lol:

POPSAttack Proof: Home of Martial realists John Perkins actually didn't choose the title of the book, his publisher did. Perkins realizes that no one is, strictly speaking, "attack proof". Still, I"ve got the 1st ed of the book (2nd due in 2009), and it's one of the most powerful set of principles I've been exposed to. "Ghostfist" (I like the poetic name) is about training yourself to move instinctively & naturally, without plan or set moves. because in the chaos of fighting, all technique goes out the window. The human nervous system reacts faster than the human brain. I think of Guided Chaos/Ghostfist as being about fighting with your nervous system rather than your brain.
