POPSOne of The Biggest Bait-And-Switch Acts in History I'm thinking it's time to pronounce Obama and his agenda precisely what they are - socialist and looking to bring down the last great remaining free capitalist system in the world so as to bring it in line with too much else of a statist world. What else can one call it with any degree of honesty? Certainly liberal no longer serves. The Left abandoned classic liberalism a decade ago. And the New Left has only gotten worse. It's time to draw the battle lines more clearly, start speaking of what freedom, capitalism, individualism and self-determinism actually are and explain to people how they won't be much of anything in some new Obama-designed state. It's time to forget about compromise and begin rejecting Obama and his grand plans completely as he and they deserve for being un-American in the most important meanings of the word. Obama sold his healthcare proposal as a way to reduce costs and help the economy. But, Pawlenty says,

POPSCriticizing Fox News isn't "Nixonian." But Fox News is
In a sense, Fox News Channel has never been able to overcome its nature as the offspring of Ailes, notoriously one of the angriest, toughest Republican consultants in politics, and Rupert Murdoch, the ruthless mogul whose political abuse of his news outlets became legendary long before he entered the cable news business. The objective for Ailes, as for Murdoch, is not fairness or balance; the objective is always to win by whatever means necessary. That includes marketing himself and his employees as high-minded truth-seekers and innocent victims of snotty liberalism -- much in the mode of old Nixon. The list of similar offenses is almost endless and, as it grows every day, selecting the most egregious examples can be challenging. Back in 2004, the wife of Carl Cameron, the channel's top campaign reporter, worked in the Bush reelection campaign, and Cameron himself posted material mocking Democratic nominee John Kerry. Over the years, the channel's news director John Moody has sent d

POPSMedia Ignoring Conservatives' Return to Dominance of Political Book Market
In September of that year, the Boston Globe proclaimed liberals "triumphant" against "conservatives' decade long hold on popular culture." Yes, it seemed such wonderful liberal values were finally en vogue. Barnes and Noble, reacting to the outpouring of Bush-bashing literature in August of 2003 announced that it would set up ‘political science/cultural affairs' tables at its stores to feature the newest partisan works. But conservatives have reclaimed their hold on the Times's bestseller page. The closest any of the top 15 hard-cover non-fiction books gets to a defense of liberalism or the Obama Administration is In Fed We Trust by David Wessel "The books from the left strike me as an obvious reaction to Bush," conservative commentator Tucker Carlson told the Associated Press in 2003. "And for people who buy them, it's a way of voting against him in an off-election year." With Bush gone, liberals no longer have a blatant target at whom to direct a coordinated

POPSEvery Ideology is Right Originally clipped by a non-thinker. I thought I would re-clip to add insight and clarity. This statement is true. Every ideology IS right. There is nothing inherently evil in ANY ideology. It may be that the ideology I despise most..Fascsim..is the best political ideology there is, and I believe it may be. Here is the rub. You cannot take any ideology in a vacuum. The best ideology for the current state of humanity is the one which allows for the greatest expression of liberty. Since, the closest one that allows for this happens to exist under the framework of Jeffersonian Democracy in this Republican system of government.

POPSEvery ideology is right More: But you can't, because their ideology does correspond to some of their direct, lived reality. They're not just imagining it. And they'll fight hard against any attempt to tell them they haven't experienced what they've experienced. So instead of telling them they're wrong, you have to demonstrate that they're only seeing part of the picture. That's the theory, anyway. It seems to work as much as 2% of the time.

POPSRon Clark Academy Obamacare Rap on CNN (Propaganda Video) The kids from Ron Clark Academy were featured on CNN singing a definitely pro Obamacare song . CNN made no qualms about not only letting the kids rap in favor of healthcare reform, but they also displayed the lyrics loud and clear for all to see. The left in this country has a clear and sometimes not so clear agenda, but an agenda none the less. It’s simply reprehensible that the left would stoop to the level of using school children to push that agenda. The Ron Clark Academy video on CNN proves that without a doubt. POPSThe Politcs of Exploitation "The ramifications of ACORN and the incident at the Burlington School (and other similar occurrences are coming to light) reach far beyond those situations. America will never be a land of opportunity for all, as long as its population can be successfully divided into "subcultures," some of which are willing to be herded like sheep. Any portion of the population that accepts such a role can expect to be methodically trodden down in perpetuity."

POPSNazi Jew Designed "Final Solution" Clipped some highlights but it really does need to be read in its entirety. It will give you a much clearer picture of the world we see today. Also it is worthwhile mentioning that Zionism and Sabbatean Frankism, do not represent the Jewish people, some are not even Jewish but instead come from all creeds and colours Research what it claims for yourself if you doubt it. If it should so move you to do so, post a counter clip debunking it. but as always be meticulous in your fact finding and presentation and always check what you cite. Of course though, you won't be able to.

POPSBibles by Victoria Jackson Born Aug. 2,1959 in Miami, Florida, Victoria was raised in a Bible-believing, piano-playing, gymnastic home with no TV. Her dad was a gym coach, so she competed in gymnastics from ages 5-18. Cheerleader.. homecoming queen.. attended Florida Bible College; received a gymnastic scholarship to Furman University, attended Auburn University one year, and ended up in Hollywood, CA via summer stock in Alabama, where she met Johnny Crawford (The Rifleman) who promptly put her in his night club act and sent her a one-way ticket to the show-biz capital. Following her 20 appearances with Johnny Carson, she starred in many movies and TV shows, most notably six seasons on "Saturday Night Live." It's a shame SNL has ruined their show. There was a time when it catered to all audiences.

POPSEviscerating Old Media Pomposity The will, instead, retreat to their steadily home turf, telling their steadily diminishing audiences that they should pay no attention to those louts who provide inconvenient truths about liberalism. A lot of good it will do them. Lord notes: Americans have learned the hard way that there was and is a serious effort by some of the most powerful figures in American journalism to quite deliberately keep Americans from making "informed decisions" by denying them accurate information. ... across five decades of American journalistic history, the instinct of many Old Media institutions -- specifically including NBC and the New York Times -- has been to deliberately withhold the truth. To quite deliberately use their journalism skills and tools to misrepresent those whose politics they do not favor. Were this, say, the field of medicine, practitioners of this kind of thing would lose their license to practice,

POPSVeteran psychiatrist calls liberals mentally ill "Dr. Rossiter says the liberal agenda preys on weakness and feelings of inferiority in the population by: * creating and reinforcing perceptions of victimization; * satisfying infantile claims to entitlement, indulgence and compensation; * augmenting primitive feelings of envy; * rejecting the sovereignty of the individual, subordinating him to the will of the government. "The roots of liberalism – and its associated madness – can be clearly identified by understanding how children develop from infancy to adulthood and how distorted development produces the irrational beliefs of the liberal mind," he says. "When the modern liberal mind whines about imaginary victims, rages against imaginary villains and seeks above all else to run the lives of persons competent to run their own lives, the neurosis of the liberal mind becomes painfully obvious."

POPSA Positive Example suitable for Clipmarks Devotees
I have often used clipmarks as a sounding board, to flesh out my own premature ideas in the delightful cloak of semi-anonymity. Not everything that I say I fully mean. Some thoughts are sounding boards to my own opinions until I firm them up and watch them gel in my own head while my fingers are flying across the keyboard. In the beginning, I spent every day reading comments people left behind mine, opening them up like christmas presents. For awhile, I left clipmarks because the animosity became so acrimonious that I suffered indigestion along with the cup of coffee and cookie I was enjoying while I read CM in the late morning. I have enjoyed clipmarks and enjoy reading the clips from people I don't necessarily agree with as well as those of whom I do agree. I hope in the spirit of the late Ted Kennedy we can take his example of leadership and disagree without rancor and argue passionately with tolerance for an opposing view. Thank you for reading. Good Day.

POPSPolitics of Charisma ~ So Third World. All this hero-worship before Mr. Obama met his first test of leadership. In reality, he was who he was, a Chicago politician who had done well by his opposition to the Iraq war. He had run a skillful campaign, and had met a Clinton machine that had run out of tricks and a McCain campaign that never understood the nature of the contest of 2008

POPSTed Kenendy - Senator or Peer of the Hous of Lord? The left-wing senator wanted to hand its seat to his wife or one of his relatives, by changing a law amended to block Romnay's choice a few years ago. I wouldn't call this "liberalism" . Aristocray and ancien regime look more likely

POPSObama, singing a song to himself To document our pessimism about the Obamoid government, Michael Barone introduces a new slant on analyzing ideologies in the US"lyrical leftism. Leftists of the past were able to mobilize people in the expansion of the state through war"Wilson and Roosevelt used their wars to take control of wide swaths of the economy. Leftists today are "lyrical" when they repudiate the state's use of force and celebrate diversity. It's just singing in the wind. This is the "basic contradiction in what the party and the liberal movement stand for," according to Barone.

POPSSen. McCain, Don't Give Obamacare a Life Raft
The point here is that activist liberals like FDR and Obama mean business. They'll make fundamental change if you are foolish enough to work with them. All the while, they tell you they're implementing reform in the name of the very thing they're destroying: private enterprise. That's right. FDR couched his statist programs in capitalist terms, too. Just as Obama tells us he is expanding patient and doctor choice under an Obamacare package that would eventually eliminate such choices, FDR told America he was pushing through his statist agenda in order to save capitalism from itself. Since that time, dutiful liberal historians have perpetuated the myth that FDR's New Deal wasn't statist at its core, but capitalist, because statism was necessary to save capitalism. Go figure. Times change, but liberalism doesn't. But Obama and his Democratic super majorities in Congress have done the nation a great favor by showing their true colors and what they will do . . .
