POPS Repaving Slave Street
Demanding unquestioning submission, Obama has set about using liberal principles laid as a horsewhip to the back of freedom. Obama offers the false promise of free honey " beckoning Americans inside the gates of the plantation herding them into the field to work with the goal of collecting sweat to “redistribute” for the common good. In an effort to retain power through, “leveling the social and economic playing field” Obama’s slave owner policy initiatives tether Americans to a ball and chain style of socialistic governance that is realized by enslaving those who would otherwise be free. The President’s utopian aspiration is on track to transform Americans into chattel trapped within a restrictive dependency, robbing us of God-given liberty, preventing the acquisition of property and thwarting individual pursuit of happiness. Obama refuses to appreciate that the type of collectivist schema he campaigns for fosters a shadow of the slavery his wife’s ancestors struggled

POPSLeft in Dark Times, Bernard-Henri Lévy Maybe the most important book of our time! I think I will move this to the top of my list MORE: The neoprogressives believe "liberalism is the source all the planet's evils," Lévy writes (p. 90), so they must declare innocent those Third World despots who "meddle with their citizens and treat them like cattle," because in the neoprogressive dogma "the System, and the System alone, bears full responsibility." They reject that the great revolutions, including the British and the American, were explicitly liberal, and used liberal thought in their struggle against absolutism (p. 92). The liberal market-based republics can more easily be portrayed as Evil, when liberty, which might be thought their finest aspect, disappears from view.

POPSPolitical Posturing on Iran, via Masbury @ Clipmarks One of the most definitive moments in recent history and all the political hacks of the Left can do is play defensive on Obama’s ignorant stance. Is it true that overt American involvement could have negative results? Yes, that is true. It does not mean, do nothing. The experts say there is much we can do. The policies over the past 8 years are bearing fruit. We are witnessing the demise of the fascist status quo. Yet those who encourage fascism in our own culture aren’t the least bit bothered by the fascism in others. If we miss the opportunity to let the Iranians know that we support them, then we may not have the opportunity for generations. It is BEYOND disgusting to take this issue and tell the world and world leaders, ’shut the hell up”.Our reticence could result in a massacre of the Iranian people.

POPSThe Wellsian Idea "He followed up with numerous other works promoting his ideas including a book published in 1940 entitled The New World Order where he states that global socialism is inevitable and that there would be a tumultuous transition period as it approached; quote: “… when the struggle seems to be drifting definitely towards a world social democracy, there may still be very great delays and disappointments before it becomes an efficient and beneficent world system. Countless people … will hate the new world order … and will die protesting against it. When we attempt to evaluate its promise, we have to bear in mind the distress of a generation or so of malcontents, many of them quite gallant and graceful-looking people.” " H. G. Wells " “The New World Order” published (1940)

POPS"No priest, no evil one/Can keep us/From feeling like Hitler’s children." "Clergy were put on government salary, hence subjected to state authority. “The parsons will be made to dig their own graves,” Hitler cackled. “They will betray their God to us. They will betray anything for the sake of their miserable little jobs and incomes.” Following the Jacobin example, the Nazis replaced the traditional Christian calendar. The new year began on January 30 with the Day of the Seizure of Power. Each November the streets of central Munich were dedicated to a Nazi Passion play depicting Hitler’s Beer Hall Putsch. The martyrdom of Horst Wessel and his “old fighters” replaced Jesus and the apostles. Plays and official histories were rewritten to glorify pagan Aryans bravely fighting against Christianizing foreign armies. Anticipating some feminist pseudo history, witches became martyrs to the bloodthirsty oppression of Christianity."

POPSGlenn Beck's 'Liberal Fascism Hour': Revising history as Newspeak
From the article: Ok, let's walk through this. F.D.R. headed up the war efforts against the Nazis during World War II. Henry Ford did everything he possibly could to prevent the United States from fighting the Nazis because he was a fan of the Nazi regime. Henry Ford was awarded and accepted the highest medal that Germany bestowed upon foreigners in 1938. The Ford factories in Europe helped build the Nazi war machine. The rabidly anti-Semitic paper that Ford published helped inspire the Holocaust and popularized the notorious Protocols of Zion. But in Beck's warped, alternate universe, Henry Ford is anti-fascist because he didn't like the New Deal ... - while the guy who actually headed up the government while it fought and defeated the fascists is a fascist. Here's a clue for the eternally clueless Beck: we actually had fascists in America during the New Deal - and some of them were opposed to it precisely because they were fascists.

POPSGlenn Beck Says He Made A Mistake, Communism Isn't On The Rise, Fascism Is Moreover, fascism was always populist -- a very specific, producerist kind of right-wing populism. That's hardly what has proceeded from Obama and the Democrats, who if anything are looking more corporatist by the day. So when we look at the reality of fascism, both historically and in the present, the only serious likelihood of any coming strain of fascism is proceeding, as we might expect, from the populist corners of the right, especially as it indulges and encourages eliminationist rhetoric directed at various "liberal" and minority targets (Latino immigrants in particular).

POPSRemedial Fascism for Confused Conservatives Hitler said Germany had collapsed because of loose morals, religious tolerance, the liberal media and all the usual boogeymen that we hear about today from conservatives. What we see with Jonah Goldberg and his entourage of pseudointellectuals is an effort to destroy the meaning of the word "Fascism" and to reduce Hitler to a buffoonish anti-Semite, rather than a devious master propagandist.

POPSGeneralised Features of Fascism Coherent article, difficult to do justice to in clip, showing how independent of localised conditions - such as economic downturns - there is a generalised potential for fascist tendencies that never disappears.

POPSLeft In Dark Times - Bernard-Henri Levi Video sent to me by a Clipmarks friend. There are some things I disagree with with, for example, his quick brush with the idea that fascism and racism are necessary components of one another. I think his natural leftism makes him unable to stomach the idea that organic society is directly opposed to a pure liberalism. That aside, this is an eloquent and enlightening take on the leftist movement taking place on the world stage. Some things he says he touches on in his book: 1. Left v Liberal. What does being on the left mean? 2. Freedom v. equality 3. Can the free market be something other than the "kingdom of the greedy". ( IMO: It is created the kingdom of the greedy by the progressive legislative process, the same way the Unions were strengthened and destroy the industries they are involved in. Housing market, anyone?). 4. A return to idea of Nationalism by the Left.

POPSObama's Youth: Hope, Change And Snappy Uniforms 50 hours a year. 100 hours for college students, provided their type of service is deemed acceptable by a sprawling new Federal bureaucracy. Oh, and Obama's going to double the size of the Peace Corps while quadrupling AmeriCorps. I'm curious if anyone will be left to fill all the newly vacated private sector jobs. St. Barack concluded his speech with this gem: "Loving your country must mean accepting your responsibility to do your part to change it." But what if I love my country the way it is? Throwing more kerosene on the mob's torches, Obama is moving his nomination acceptance speech to Denver's 75,000-seat outdoor stadium. And is thinking about a speech at Berlin's Brandenburg Gate. Odd that he didn't choose Nuremberg. We've talked a lot about Liberal Fascism. Apparently, it wasn't a moment too soon. UPDATE: A Lizard invasion? Thanks for the LGF link, Charles!

POPSStuff White People Like: Comparing People to Hitler
LOL. If someone were to propose that ethnic Europeans should migrate en masse to Africa, reproduce twice as fast as the native Africans, threatening to eventually reduce Aficans to shrinking minorities in their own lands, insist on maintaining their own European customs and languages, liberals would say, rightly, that this was racism, white supremacism, and a nonviolent form of genocide, and hence a nazi-like proposal. If they were in the least bit fair-minded or consistent in their "thinking," if you can call the mindless, PC hysteria that propels liberal positions on anything relating to race relations "thinking," they'd say the same things about the fact that exactly what I've described is in fact happening, except that the colors are reversed and the Third World is swarming into the entire Western World, with the temporary exception of Israel, though as the demographics of the West change, pressure will inevitably mount on Isreal to adopt the same self-holocausting policies tha

POPSThe Wellsian not-so-new idea "When analyzing the ideas and philosophies of liberalism today, if in comparison we look back at Wells’s concept of liberal fascism, we have a very close match. Yes, Wells’s liberal fascism is still alive, but that is not what it is called - It is called “progressive.” "Wells would become more of an activist concentrating his efforts on affecting global change by offering a collection of essays, books, and novels, which often began with the world rushing to catastrophe, until people realize a better way of living. It is not surprising then to know that it was Wells who penned the slogan “The war to end all war” and that he was a member of the Research Committee for the League of Nations believing it was a beginning step to fulfillment of this vision."

POPSHow the Liberal Media Spin Cycle Works I would never expect the Left to watch this. It is after all a whole 8 minutes long and it is a masterful expose of their's and the Left's insincerity. If you can manage to follow the painfully clear case laid out in this clip, it is after all undeniable, you have little choice but to accept the truth about the media. The truth hurts and for that reason they choose ignorance and denial. Progressivism is not about politics. It is about statist fascism and this clip shows exactly what statist fascism looks like in the sickness of manipulation, political correctness, and identity politics. Force yourself to watch this. Do not fear that it might have some impact.

POPSEarly 21st Century Revisits the Early 20th Century "Collectivism has been like a chronic disease in the body politic ever since the birth of Liberal Individualism in the 18th Century. For Locke, there was Rousseau. The American Revolution contrasted with the French Revolution and its guillotine. America had George Washington and Europe had Napoleon. Lincoln saved the Union as Marx was promoting Communism in Europe. . For the last 300 years we in the Western world have been living in the midst of a struggle between the forces of Liberal individualism and the forces of collectivism." "Communism and fascism dominated much of 20th Century history as the alternative to Liberal individualism and free markets. Democratic socialism is still eating away at European societies, which grow poorer and more sclerotic every year as they continue to declare the superiority of their model to American individualism." We are doomed to repeat history.

POPSThe legacy of Rousseau and the French Revolution "No more thorough explication of the liberal fascist agenda can be found than in Hillary Clinton's best-selling book, 'It Takes a Village'," Mr. Goldberg writes. "All the hallmarks of the fascist enterprise reside within in pages." These include the superiority of the state-directed life over individual responsibility, even to the extent of the state having more say than parents in the raising of children. Mr. Goldberg is not making the point that American liberals are crypto-Nazis. They aren't. The kind of feminine fascist government America would likely see probably wouldn't have concentration camps but would have a Secretary of Hugs. More "Brave New World" than "1984."

POPSWho Is “Fascist”?The abuse and proper use of a political label
In Germany, the Nazis followed in the wake of the Italian Fascists, adding racism in general and anti-Semitism in particular, neither of which was part of Fascism in Italy or in Franco’s Spain. In short, during the 1920s and the early 1930s, Fascism was not only looked on favorably by the Left but recognized as having kindred ideas, agendas, and assumptions. The Nazi variant of Fascism found favor on the Left in the 1920s. Only after Hitler and Mussolini disgraced themselves, mainly by their brutal military aggressions in the 1930s, did the Left distance itself from these international pariahs. Fascism, initially recognized as a kindred ideology of the Left, has since come down to us defined as being on “the Right"— supposedly further extensions of conservatism If by conservatism you mean belief in free markets, limited government, and traditional morality, including religious influences, then these are all things that the Fascists opposed just as much as the Left does t

POPSBack to Basics - The truth about Statist Totalitarianism "Fascism's message boils down to "Enough talk, more action!" Its lasting appeal is getting things done." "In contrast, conservatism calls for limited government, individualism, democratic debate, and capitalism. Its appeal is liberty and leaving citizens alone." Movement of the Left * Woodrow Wilson's Progressivism featured a "militaristic, fanatically nationalist, imperialist, racist" program, enabled by the exigencies of World War I. * Franklin D. Roosevelt's "fascist New Deal" built on and extended Wilson's government. * Lyndon B. Johnson's Great Society established the modern welfare state, "the ultimate fruition" (so far) of this statist tradition. * The youthful New Left revolutionaries of the 1960s brought about "an Americanized updating" of the European Old Right. * Hillary Clinton hopes "to insert the state deep into family life," an essential step of the totalitarian project. She's a "progressive, you know.

POPS"False hopes?" Obama told a crowd "There's no such thing." Meanwhile the authoritarian Putin has punkishly succeeded in restoring Russia to its inglorious heritage, reminding the world of the old formula that capitalism plus state power equals fascism. In Iran, none of Ahmadinejad's domestic troubles seem to have modified the state's sense of ascendancy, or its will to nuclearize itself, or its appetite for instability in its region. In Iraq, the streets are safer but the sects are not sweeter. In the Korean peninsula, diplomacy has gone ominously cold. In Palestine there are two Palestines, and one of them belongs to Hamas. In Darfur--well, you know, because everybody knows. In Latin America, the failures of liberal economics have sullied the reputation of liberal politics. And so on. And into this unirenic environment strides Obama, pledging to extract us promptly from Iraq and to negotiate with our enemies. What is the role of a conciliator in an unconciliating world?

POPSMommy Fascism ( or Statism, if you like ) "When we get to today's liberal fascism Jonah (Goldberg) describes what I would like to call mommy fascism. The fascism of the 1930s was a daddy fascism featuring a militarized command economy and smart CCC uniforms with everyone marching in step. Mommy fascism is different and Jonah takes the reader through Hillary Clinton's It Takes a Village to show how it works." "If Orwell's 1984 described a masculine dystopia then Clinton's Village echoes the feminine dystopia of Brave New World "where man is smothered with care, not cruelty" from the very cradle. "

POPSPat Robertson's Endorsement: Blessing or Curse? Leave it to national politics to turn a normal guy into Crazy McGee. Giuliani is campaigning so hard to the Republican fringe that he seems to be sabotaging the traits that might have made him appealing in a general election. On the other hand, think about what Pat Robertson is saying: "the defense of our population from the blood lust of Islamic terrorists" W*$# the F@&#!!!! Now imagine if a liberal candidate got endorsed by a national figure who talked about the "Blood lust of Christian Colonialism and Capitalist Neo-Fascism." That would pretty much be the end of the trail for that campaign. It is horrific that someone who could say something like this is actually thought of as an important endorsement. How many people seriously think like that? Are we really that ignorant and angry? Why would anyone be proud to be endorsed by someone who sounds increasingly apocalyptic, paranoid, and deranged?

POPSWHAT IS SOCIALISM? (Collectivism)-1 --<<Bernard Baruch, Wall Street financier and key advisor in Frankliln Delano Roosevelt's New Deal and chairman of the War Industries Board during the First World War, stated the following in an August 1918 speech: "Every man's life is at the call of the nation and so must be every man's property. We are living today in a highly organized state of socialism. The state is all; the individual is of importance only as he contributes to the welfare of the state". ( The New American magazine,"The One Party State", Oct. 4, 2004)
