He said when the payroll tax was created to fund Social Security during the New Deal, lawmakers didn't anticipate the freelance of two-income families, so there's always been a sort of marriage penalty for couples whose incomes topped the single-earner income taxation level. POPSFrom Botox To Botax Much to the apparent ire of the manufacturers of Botox and the doctors who apply it, Congress is poised to levy a new tax to help pay for the health care plan - Botax. I guess they've finally put 2 and 2 together and figured out that they can't balance the checkbook by raising ciggy taxes anymore. I have nothing against plastic surgery, but I say three cheers for a good idea out of Congress that will help fund health care that's truly a necessity.

Any sugar is addictive, but corn starch with fructose in liquid form of syrup is something from the hell. And it is included in countless readily available cheap (and some of them not) foods, making them a weapon of mass destruction. Who entitled to guard us from this shameless brazen aggression if not elected popular leader? Fortunately, when Mr. Mitchell and members of the press objected to the bullying tactics of the OECD officials, he finally was allowed to stay. The OECD is supporting the double taxation of capital and trying to quash those jurisdictions that do not levy multiple taxes on savings and investment, i.e., productive capital. Without high levels of productive capital, countries will not grow and new and well-paying jobs will be created only rarely. Taxing capital is not only economically destructive but morally suspect. If the OECD ultimately gets its way, individuals and businesses trying to protect themselves from multiple taxation . . .
