POPSRachel Maddow guest Dr. Warren Hern discusses climate of political terror in the US Dr. Warren Hern is the head of the Boulder Abortion Clinic, and one of the last doctors in America who still performs late-term abortions . He's lived with death-threats & actual attempts on his life for decades. And the same violent rhetoric from the anti-abortion fringe that spawned a series of homegrown American terrorist snipers and bombers that have killed people and destroyed property is being turned on proponents of healthcare reform in America. Think about it.

POPSCatholic Nurse Forced to Perform Abortion "Remember, to the left abortion is a right. And your religion can't preclude others from exercising their rights. Your religion can't prevent some from having free speech or the right to assemble. They see abortion as the same thing. If they have their way, stories of health care workers being ordered to perform abortions will be an everyday occurence.."

POPSHow Late Term Abortion Saved My Life With the help of other women like me, I grieved. I healed. I tried again, and in June of 2006, my wild and fierce daughter Victoria was born. As I healed, I came to realize how lucky I was. Yes, I said lucky. This was in 2004, before the Partial Birth Abortion Ban became law, and my doctors were able to move quickly to save my life without worrying about breaking the law. My doctor knew the procedure and was willing to perform it; something that has already become rare and will be rarer still if doctors have to put their lives on the line to perform this life saving medical procedure. If it's you or your daughter, will you be so lucky?

POPSThe Story of Sarah Brown, Tiller's Victim The delivery room staff, familiar with handling Tiller’s mistakes, wrapped up the baby, set her in a bassinet and left her without attendance. Twenty-four hours later though she had not been cleaned up, the umbilical cord had been improperly severed and she had had no nourishment, Sarah continued to live. A nurse in the newborn unit of the hospital finally took pity on the child. She called an attorney with whom she was familiar and explained the situation. The attorney called Bill and Mary Kay Brown and asked them to come to the hospital and rescue this remarkable child.

POPSNew Abortion Doc LeRoy Carhart Ready To Take Over Maybe Carhart's clinic can receive stimupork money for purposes of training his staff on the procedural techniques for late-term and partial birth abortion. Maybe this is how Obama Trickle Up works? Because we all know that Liberal women only think about birth control after getting knocked up, not before putting their footprints on the ceiling. "Pregnant? How did this happen," she asked herself. It is quite the mystery, isn't it? How did that happen?

POPSDr. Tiller was murdered in church More: Tiller was one of the great heroes in the fight for a woman's right to choose safe, legal abortion. Late-term abortions are a terrible business for everyone concerned. Despite anti-abortion distortions to the contrary, they are very rare -- and almost never chosen for anything but the most heartbreaking of reasons, usually having to do with the life of the mother or the viability of the fetus. It's a life-changing choice for everyone concerned, and not one anybody takes lightly. By all accounts, Tiller dealt with these horrific situations with dignity, compassion, and grace, helping women and their families deal with the loss and grief that always come with being faced with such a traumatic decision. He didn't just tend to their physical condition; he tended to their psychological and spiritual well-being, too.

POPS Dr.Tiller Murdered In Church Sunday . . . . . late term abortions, for $5000.00 was as evil as the man that killed him. DISCLAIMER: You notice that abortion is a subject I avoid on my blog Abortion is a subject that I avoid because there has been serious disagreement on the subject. While one side of that argument maintains that it should be the woman’s right to choose what happens to her body and the other view is that is the killing of a child. There is no common ground. YouTube video (4:57) Interview with a patient who was 14 years old when Tiller performed an abortion on her. I do believe that Dr. Tiller was in a league of his own, the young lady in the video said it far better than I can. It is reported that he did over 60,000 abortions during his career and was if not the only one, he was among the few that is willing to do late term abortions. The President’s stated position on the subject is, “reduce the number of abortions.” His votes may be more informative on his posit

POPSRadical Right Spokesman Shows His Stripes Using inflammatory, emotion laden language gauged to stir anger among the Religious Right, Randall Terry spews forth his usual brand of god-inspired, holier than thou bile, to justify the killing of another human being. Granted, he's on the fringe. The sad fact is that I hear justifications that Terry makes aped by his less vitriolic as well. By and large, they all hinge on religious dogma. Not on fact, not on science, but on arbitrary rules set forth by religious authorities.

POPSObama 'outraged' at abortion doctor murder Prayers for George Tiller and his family. "However profound our differences as Americans over difficult issues such as abortion, they cannot be resolved by heinous acts of violence." But this is ridiculous.

POPSUS abortion doctor is shot dead Correspondents say the president is attempting to defuse the abortion issue - a highly emotive subject in US public life - by arguing that while it should remain legal, the government should do all it can to limit the number of unwanted pregnancies.

POPSNo God Condones What? The only way to explain it is to understand the intellectual environment, called postmodernism, in which President Obama and his peers have been raised. Generations of Americans have now been taught that truth is subjective. You have your truth, I have mine. And, even worse, I can’t “inflict” my version of truth on you. The law of non-contradiction has been suspended.

POPSWoman in labor at Obama rally All I can say is good thing Obama the child killer didn't know about it. Doesn't matter to him how old the baby is - Obama's record is clear. He's for killing it.

POPSEvery Woman in America Should Be Angry at John McCain After Barack Obama described how he opposes late term abortion except where the life and health of the mother are placed at risk, John McCain cast aspersion on the relevance of the health exception by using air quotes and treating the seriousness of the exception sarcastically. I guess the long-term health of pregnant women has little regard to John McCain.

POPSFred Thompson Speech (RNC Convention) Once upon a time, Fred Thompson ran for president. His campaign was inexplicably late in starting and never got any traction. A lot of conservatives were disappointed because they were looking for a more traditional candidate to fill a perceived void. The choices in 2008 came down to Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee, and John McCain. We still do not know why Fred Thompson ran such a poor campaign, a question that will not be answered in his RNC convention speech. 'Character you can believe in' 3:02 video at website Fred Thompson says Sen. John McCain has the character that America can "believe in".

POPSObama vs. Obama finds much comfort in these increasingly peculiar neck-snapping reversals. Despite the evident dishonesty of these moves, though, those of us with whom Obama is suddenly discovering so many points of agreement should certainly make the most of his awkward dance. Will other prominent Democrats agree with their candidate's newly discovered views? If not, why not?

POPSObama, Conyers epitomize Arrogance in Pants.
Thanks Joan for posting this...The Centrist thing of Obama's was inevitable, it seems, as he panders to the sheeple. WASHINGTON -- Former White House deputy chief of staff Karl Rove won't testify next week before a House committee investigating the prosecution of former Gov. Don Siegelman, despite a threat of a contempt proceeding. Rove is exerting executive privilege and declined the invitation to appear before the House Judiciary Committee on Thursday, his attorney Robert Luskin wrote to the House panel Tuesday. A lawsuit is pending in federal court in Washington over whether top White House officials can be compelled to testify before Congress, he wrote. The Judiciary Committee has been seeking Rove's testimony since April, and committee Chairman Rep. John Con- yers, D-Mich., said in a response letter sent Thursday that he was "disappointed" with Rove's decision. It seems Conyers has lost his balls somewhere...won't Impeach, when it's the only thing to stop Cheney/Bush, and
